finally some more 3p! stuff
aight so here we go
3p! 407 is 3p! Basically's first "successful" creation. Before Basically quit his job in the midst of his psychotic break, one of the clean-ups he had to do was 407's, who was his best friend, killed in a moped accident. After Basically got his whole operation up and running a few months in, he grew confident in his ability to raise the dead. Naturally, he wanted his best friend back. One unusually quiet evening, Basically and Moo snuck into the graveyard where 407 was laid to rest. They spent hours digging up his tomb, and found him, already quite decomposed due to the severity of his accident. They haphazardly absconded with his body, breaking one of his legs off in the process, and made haste towards Basically's lab-shack. After doing some quite shoddy repairs on his skin and inner organs (which were damaged after autopsy and embalming), as well as fashioning a makeshift leg so he could stand, Basically began the procedure of re-animation. It was a long and arduous process, but a successful one nonetheless. While 407 was physically alive, his brain wasn't quite there. He could stand on his own and he could be trained to do basic tasks such as holding objects and giving callouts during other experiments (albeit only through moans and groans, since his vocal chords are all but completely ruined). However, he can't truly communicate, or actually think, as he is brain dead. His brain is only alive enough to keep him alive. Basically's next task (upon losing Vanoss and releasing Cartilage into the world) is finding a way to bring his brain all the way back.
3p! Lui is one of 3p! Nogla, Terroriser and Vanoss's neighbors. He's a chronic hypochondriac, terrified of everything and everyone around him. He's witnessed Nogla convince one of his victims to jump off the balcony into oncoming traffic. He's seen 3p! Delirious conjuring up macabre displays in front of his tent in the park across the street. Lui never truly feels safe, even in his own home. He's prepared for the worst at all times, always carrying a flashlight, extra batteries, and a first aid kit. He makes note to leave his home only on rare occasions, and to be sure to leave during the late morning to ensure he'll never be alone on the streets of Liberty City. Out of his three deranged neighbors, really the only one he's neutral about is Terroriser. Vanoss and Nogla terrify him, and he goes out of his way to avoid all three of them if he can help it.
3p! Ms. Vixen (Lanai, Brian's gf) lives across the hall from 3p! Nogla, Terroriser and Vanoss. She's one of the few who've escaped the clutches of many would-be murderers in Liberty City, due to her sheer wits alone. She's incredibly intelligent and stone cold to the world around her. Most recently, she escaped with minor injuries from 3p! Delirious's tent only because, unlike the rest of the audience, she played along with his act, making Delirious keep her around until the very end. Upon finding she could grasp the invisible objects Delirious summoned into the world, she whacked him over the head good and escaped back home, not even bothering to call the cops, knowing how useless they were. She's somewhat of a survivalist, and she takes pity on Lui and goes out on trips with him when he does leave his apartment. Terroriser used to have a massive crush on her (which was not reciprocated), it turned into a sheer disdain when he saw her kick Vanoss straight in the beak when he charged her (as he does when he feels threatened).
#btw ive been seeing it a bit#i am a-ok with people drawing the 3p! crew#id love to see everyones interpretations of them :]#my art#digital art#fanart#3p! au#3p! 407#3p! lui#3p! ms vixen#vanoss crew#vanoss crew fanart#banana bus squad

Off Grid Living
My Pleasure!
First, while there are several different definitions, when I say "off grid", I generally mean not hooked up to utilities. Not being hooked up to utilities usually also involves living somewhere smaller and simpler- like a tiny house, wall tent, yurt, or cabin.
There is a thriving community of people who have decided, for whatever reason, to not hook up to utilities. Some reasons someone might decide to live off grid include:
Environmental reasons- you can't use power, water, or gas (or at least you have to use a LOT less) if you don't have a steady supply coming through your walls.
Prepping reasons- the term is "collapse now and avoid the rush", essentially, if you see the world around you going to heck, going off grid teaches you a lot of skills you may need (and teaches them on your own time) if utilities do go out or become unreliable in the future.
Economic reasons- Since you don't have power, water, and gas coming through your walls, you can be very deliberate about how you use these things, which generally means using a LOT less. And you pay as you use a resource instead of having to pay every month, so can easily reduce your resource use or go without if you need to.
Simplicity reasons- a lot of utilities means a lot of upkeep, payments, maintenance, and brainpower. Living in a way where you don't need utilities greatly reduces stress (at least as I have experienced it).
Privacy reasons- many people who live off grid live in a relatively rural area or live in an itinerant way, and don't want to deal with people much.
Incidental- utilities don't go where they live.
For my wife and I, it was a combination of all of the above.
The rest of this post is about how we meet our needs while living off grid.
Housing:
For us housing is a wall tent on an insulated wooden platform I built myself. It was my first time building something by myself that wasn't a fence, and I didn't do a particularly great job. But it's holding us up.
The wall tent is a 14x16 White Duck brand canvas tent. It gives us about 224sqft of floor space in one room. This is a stock image of the tent:
Vehicles:
We chose our vehicles to meet our lifestyle. We own a Prius (which is essentially a generator on wheels) and an F-250 (which is an all-purpose engine). Being a hybrid, the Prius can charge our home batteries without having to start the engine, and will re-charge it's own battery as it's idling, braking, or going down hills. The F-250 is a diesel and will be our general farm vehicle, tractor, as well as being able to haul large loads of firewood and manure.
Power:
We like electric light, and we like to charge our phones and computers. Other than that, though, we've realized it's not that hard to go without higher-power-consuming devices like water heaters, refrigerators, or stoves.
We have a Ryobi inverter, which makes it possible to run a few strands of twinkle lights and charge devices off of a drill battery. We have 4, 6-amp-hour batteries, which is about enough power to run our lights for about 8hours while charging our phones a few times over. These 4 batteries usually last us about 2-3 days. We then either charge them at a friend's house or off the Prius battery.
Heat and Cooking:
We live in Ohio, and it's winter, so we have a wood stove in our tent. It's a Nectre Bun Baker and if I had to do it over again, I'd get something with a bigger fire box.
But anyway, it's compact and has an oven and cooking surface, so the fire takes care of our heating and cooking needs. It takes about an hour to go from the inside of the tent being the same temperature as outside to warm enough to shower in front of.
It does tend to be chillier in here than the average house. Right now it's in the 40's outside and I don't even have the fire going. We got used to being a little colder very quickly and now other people's houses feel WAY too hot for comfort.
We currently just heat water on the wood stove if we want it warm for bathing or cleaning. Soon we are hoping to get a stock pot with a spigot to be a more permanent solution to our hot water needs. We'll still need to fill it as we empty it, but it will be ready when we are!
Water:
Speaking of water, we have 2 five-gallon jugs that we refill at a friend's house. We also have a small utility sink in the tent. We have a pump top that fits on the top of one of the jugs that sits on a table next to the sink. When we want water, we push the pump top and water "runs" out of a little spout so we can easily access water for drinking, dishes, cooking, laundry, bathing, and cleaning.
The sink's drain runs into a 5-gallon bucket that we empty by hand.
It's amazing how incredibly little water we use compared to how much we used before we moved here. One 5-gallon jug lasts us about 2 days (though I do use some water at work that doesn't factor in).
Hygiene:
Since we don't have a shower in the tent, we generally just get 3-4 cups of water that we heat on the stove. We then stand in a plastic basin and wash our hair, pits, crotch, butt, and feet. The water then goes to the grey water bucket. I do this monday-friday because I have a professional job, but my wife does it about every 3-4 days. Honestly I am so much less dry and itchy this time of year and I don't have to use any kind of conditioner or moisturizer. Teh problem is getting up early enough to get it warm enough in the tent that washing is comfortable.
I shave in a few tablespoons of water, but I have a beard, so I don't have much to shave.
Both of us wear deodorant, too, which helps.
Waste:
For poop and pee we use a composing toilet. The toilet diverts our urine into a 5-gallon bucket so we can use it for fertilizer. Our poop falls into another 5-gallon bucket that we cover with sawdust after every go. When that is full we take it to a compost pile we will not use for 3 years, when our pathogens are good and dead and the poop is fully composted into humanure.
For trash, if it's paper or cardboard we burn it as kindling for our fire. If it's a jar we generally use it for storage (we break a lot of these...), and if it's something we can't use (like plastic film) we either put it with a friend's trash or take it to a landfill directly.
Internet:
We have phones, and use them as hotspots when we need to post things to pay bills or post things to tumblr or whatnot.

Ok so I goofed and the original request got deleted so Anon I hope you see this!
The Request:
I had a thought and had to share it with someone without ratting myself out as a daycare attendant simp but:
Gender neutral reader has been working at the daycare part of the pizzaplex (as an assistant or security either one works) for about a year now and sun finds out that moon has grown a crush on the reader. Sun also notices that moons recently developed crush has caused him to become more passive, so sun makes it his goal to somehow get reader and moon together in anyway they can, unfortunately falling in love in the process. Thankfully for the two of them, readers been crushing on them since their first month there.
(based off a tik tok with the duo using jake from adventure times audio “Gotta find a honey for my homie, A baby for my buddy, A lady for my laddie.”)
thank you so much and have a wonderful day!
-🐥 Anon
A Honey for my Homie
Sun/Moon x reader, ~800 words, no warnings, GN reader
AN: 🐥 ANON YOU ARE A LITERARY GENIUS THIS WAS A GREAT IDEA! You didn't specify whether you wanted headcanons or a one-shot, but since this is a more linear story idea I went with a one-shot!
It all started when Sun realized they had more charge in their battery than usual. Moon was notorious for using all their collective charge on patrolling, climbing, and crawling on the ceiling. But recently, Sun has had more than enough to complete his usual morning chores. He had no reason to believe Moon was slacking, of course, but something might be wrong!
Sun rummaged through their messy room for any new notes from Moon. The two don't communicate within the headspace all that often, so they each place sticky notes for the other to see. The search turned up empty, save for a pile of torn notes that were utterly illegible. Finally, he spied one stuck neatly on the doorframe. It was crumpled at the edges, and hastily scrawled across it was the message:
"We need to talk" -☾
Sun fidgeted with his rays nervously. Usually when the two "spoke", it meant that Moon was angry. But, there was no use in avoiding it. Sun smoothed his rays one more time, then opened his mind and allowed Moon to speak.
Immediately Sun was knocked back with a wave of emotion radiating from Moon. Sun felt his chest plating tighten as their shared body reacted to his mood.
"Heeeey Moon. uhhhh... how's it going?" Sun reached out cautiously. "Looks like you're- heheh- feeling something pretty intense, huh?"
"I am having… difficulties."
"Well, I'll say! So uh- what's wrong? Did I do something wrong? I'll fix it, whatever it is!"
Moon said nothing, but his emotions swirled around the headspace. Sun noticed his legs beginning to malfunction and his throat tightening. Finally, Moon seemed to have gathered the courage to speak. "You're familiar with our assistant, correct?"
"Oh yes, we talk all the time, they're one of my very best friends!"
"Well, I… I see them as… more than a best friend, Sunny."
"MOON??? YOU HAVE A CRUSH? oooooOO-" Sun wobbled his noodle arms for emphasis.
"You are acting like one of the children."
"Oh-kayy. But Moon this is wonderful! Y/N is our best best best friend!! They would love to hear you say how you feel!"
"I… do not know if I can."
"Why?"
"What if- if- if-" Moon's voice glitched, and Sun sat down to stop his legs from shaking. How odd, experiencing the physical effects of an emotion he wasn't even feeling.
"Ok Moonie I am officially declaring you hopeless. Never fear, I shall help! We can…" Sun thought for a moment before spying the pad of sticky notes the two used for their "internal memos". Brilliant idea in mind, Sun carefully wrote in his neatest handwriting:
Do you like Moon?
🔲yes 🔲no
Sun surrounded their writing with stickers, little doodles of moons, and a border of his favorite glitter glue. Then, he sprinted out of their room, put it on your desk, ran back to their room, and watched from the balcony as you walked through the door.
"I'm not sure if that was our best option."
"Oh, just you wait, Moonie!"
Sun watched you do your opening shift activities, anxious for when you'd take a break and see the note. He watched the careful way you set out crayons, and the little dance you did while listening to the daycare theme. He noticed the little fidgets you do when you're concentrating, and the way the lights hit your hair. Slowly, Sun's chest plating tightened. His throat became hollow and dry. And his legs wobbled until they almost gave out from beneath him.
oh.
OH.
"So uh, Moony, heh… how do we feel about sharing?"
"Now you see what I mean, hmm?" Moon chuckled smugly. "Honestly, if they like even one of us it's a miracle. Go for it."
Sun crept down to your desk once more and silently placed another note that read:
Do you like Sun?
🔲yes 🔲no
Sun was just about to tiptoe back to his balcony when he heard a voice say:
"Good morning, Sun!"
Sun jumped 3 feet in the air, and frantically smoothed his rays. "OH! HI THERE Y/N!!" he said, his voice entirely too loud.
You point at the two notes on your desk. "Are those for me?"
"NO! YES! I mean.. maybe?" Sun crumpled to the ground in embarrassment, his legs essentially jelly as you unfold the notes.
You read them silently, stunned with disbelief. "Both of you?" you ask.
Sun looked up at you from the floor. "At first I was just trying to help Moon, because he's a little shy but- but then I was waiting for you to pick it up and I- well- you just look so pretty when you do everything and I- I couldn't help it!"
Your wide-eyed look of disbelief turned to a sappy grin. You fumbled for a pen and check off one box on each note. You took Sun's faceplate in your hands and gently pressed your nose to theirs. "Then I choose 'yes' and 'yes'."

another aeroplane, another sunny place
AKA, the final bonus part of shape of you that wasn't posted here, but on wp. very much inspired by michael bublé's song 'home' back in 2017 that i finally finished writing a while ago. technically it can be read as a standalone os since that's how it was originally written as, but it also makes sense in the sofy universe. (just like another os i will post sometime next week that i *also* posted on wp but not on here)
ANYWAYS feel free to ignore if you've read it already, since i'm mostly just posting it here in case i need to reference it later!
may be surrounded by a million people i still feel alone, i just wanna go home
oh, i miss you, you know
He'd been on the road for eight months now.
He was grateful of all the success the Rollerband was getting; a worldwide sold-out tour, thousands of records sold, a renewed signing contract for another three years. He knew he was lucky, and he couldn't deny it.
Career-wise, he was happy, living his rock-star dream. His personal life was a whole different thing.
They say distance makes the heart grow fonder. And it was true, honestly. If he thought he loved his girlfriend before, he knew for sure now that he was ten thousand kilometers away. However, what they don't tell you, it's how hard it can get when such a distance is formed. He hadn't talked to Ámbar, like really talked, in two months.
Their relationship had gotten to an only-texting communication, with hello's and goodnight's texts received every day. The phone calls had reduced to once a week, if that.
It hadn't started that way, though. The first three months consisted of daily three-hours-long video calls, with the occasional visit if uni and her schedule allowed her, then they passed to a one-hour daily cellphone call... now they were lucky they even remembered to put 'i love you' at the end of their texts.
He didn't like it, not one bit. He knew where they were leading; he'd seen it first with Jim and Nico years ago (which was a reason he tried not to date anyone seriously), and then a few months later with Delfi and Pedro. Simón didn't want that for Ámbar and himself.
He checked the time; almost midnight where he was, so it'd only be around 7 PM in Buenos Aires. Her uni classes ended at three, so either she was at the J&R or doing homework.
Deciding he didn't have anything to lose, he pressed 'call' on his phone. Five rings later, she picked up, her beaming face appearing on his screen. Gosh, how he'd missed her.
"Aló, Simón?!" Her voice sounded a little breathy, but overall excited. He had to smile when he heard her. "How are you? I miss you," she sighed wistfully on the other side of the line. The hand she wasn't using to hold the phone went to her hair, twirling a lock away from her face.
"I miss you too," Simón answered, a small smile gracing his lips, "I'm coming home soon, only a couple of weeks more, little gem."
"It feels like too long, but at least it's sooner than eight months," she mumbled, sighing again, "how's Spain? Didn't you have a show tonight?"
"Spain's great, full of life," he remembered the crowd, screaming and singing along, "the show ended an hour ago. I'm feeling a little homesick, I guess," he admitted, "I wish I was there with you."
"Don't," she reprimanded him, shaking her head a little, "you'll be here soon, enjoy tour life while you can."
"That's the thing... I'm not enjoying it anymore." Ámbar went still at this. If it weren't for the tenue sound of music she was listening on her side and that he could hear through the phone, he'd have thought it's freezed on him; when he realized that wasn't the case, he continued. "It's been too long. I miss our bed, I miss waking up next to you, hugging you, kissing you... I miss our dog and I miss our friends. This life... it feels so empty, little gem." He wasn't ashamed to say he was close to tears. He loved touring, giving concerts in different parts of the world, meeting fans all over the globe... those were heavy pros. Simón just wished he'd have more time for his family.
"Don't think like that, Simón, please." She begged him, the little tremble in her voice gave away her emotions, her face had barely moved. Simón knew it was more for his sake than for hers. "I miss you too, so much it hurts sometimes. But this is your dream, love, this is what you've worked so hard for; don't let homesickness stop you from finding joy in what you love the most."
"I'll try, I promise I will. I just... I don't know..."
"I get it, I'm the same sometimes. But you must understand; we're not them, Simón." Her voice turned softer, understanding, and soothing. He loved that about her, that she seemed to know what to say and how to say it without a prompt given. "Do you know why they didn't work out? It's not because they loved each other less, or because the distance was too much. It was the pressure of feeling that if they weren't near each other, if they didn't talk to the other 24/7, their bond would break. It was too much, and it ended up leaving them strained."
"Is this your way of telling me you don't want to talk to me anymore?" he joked, his smile growing as she rolled her eyes.
"You're an idiot." She deadpanned, changing her position on the bed to recline her back on their bedrest. "Seriously, though, do you get what I'm saying?"
"Yes, love. I know I shouldn't care too much about how much we talk as it does not define our relationship but what can I say? I miss you." She grinned at him.
"I miss you, too. I'm always a call away," she promised him, but then she frowned, "unless I'm at class, then sorry, you'll have to talk to my voicemail."
He laughed, "I see how it is, a boring class is way more important than funny me. How's everything over there? How's my princess?"
"Always." She winked at him. "Everything's fine. I had lunch with my mom today, she made mushroom lasagna, I told her already that mushrooms taste like nothing, but she swears they're flavorful; I might go visit my dad tomorrow as well; he's been bugging me about having dinner with him and his family," he absentmindedly scrunched his nose at the mention of the fungi, he hated them, "Toppy is here, I can put you on speaker so you can talk to her, if you want. I can't promise she'll answer, though, she's been giving me an attitude lately."
"An attitude? You're rubbing on her, aren't you? When I get home, I'll come back to two Ámbar's instead of one." He teased her, earning a huff from his girl. "Let me talk to her, I bet she doesn't even recognize my voice anymore."
"You've always been her favorite, she will." She replied softly, and then it was quiet for a couple of seconds, while she took off the earphones' plug from her phone. "Okay, you're on speaker now. Toppy, babe, come greet daddy." Simón waited until he heard a 'thud' – followed by Ámbar adjusting her phone's camera so he could see both his girl and their pet- to speak again.
"Toppy?" Not a sound.
Before he could get sad he got no response, Ámbar spoke. "She's smelling my phone, talk again." She sounded amused, so Simón complied, cheerier this time.
"How's my favorite puppet doing? I heard you're giving mommy a bit of trouble. What happened to my good girl?" He wasn't done with his first question when the barking started, his pup's little whines sounded almost as if she was reprimanding his absence.
"She's missed you." His girlfriend exclaimed over the barking, chuckling at the way Toppy's tail swat rapidly.
"I miss her too." He sighed again, "I miss you both a lot."
"Just a few more weeks." She reminded him, her smile and tone wistful as she tried to contain the pup's wriggling body. He had to smile at that.
"Just a few more weeks." He echoed, the underlying promise loud to their ears. "I love you."
"I love you too." She paused for a second, before speaking again, "now please go to sleep, you look like you died a week ago." Simón laughed at that, but he knew better than to fight her when she was trying to take care of him.
"I'll call you tomorrow, alright?"
His words were met with a grin. "Not if I text you first. I love you so much, Simón."
"I love you more, little gem. Take care, okay? I'll see you as soon as I can." She sent him a kiss through the phone, before disconnecting the call. He stared at the screen for a couple of minutes, before the 'low battery' notification popped up and he had to charge it. The call left him feeling much better, so he decided to go to bed already.
Just a few more weeks ran like a mantra trough his mind, soothing his fears and anxiety. Just a few more weeks and I'll be home.

Sofía, Bulgaria - June 2019 🇧🇬
The second last day of my journey was ready to start. It started once more early but not as early as intended to at first. My original plan included a coach trip from Thessaloniki to Sofía, but as lucky as I was on this trip, I got adopted by two fellow fans who invited me on their ride on a more comfortable car. While I did know tiny bits of Greek, I didn't know a single thing about Bulgaria. Well, not 100% true - I knew they're part of the European Union, they don't have the Euro and they use the Cyrillic alphabet. That's it. I didn't know they were not part of Schengen and I also didn't know a single thing about their fascinating long history.
Once being dropped of in Sofía, I fell in love with the city. Its different, it's full of history - you can tell by just walking around for five minutes - and it's super green and full of parks. I head to my hostel, ring the bell and after a couple of minutes an old lady appears, telling me in broken English there's something wrong with my room and hands me a phone. The man on the other end explains me that they have anogher building down the road, the woman will bring me there, and they will upgrade my single hostel room to a studio for the same price. Alright?!? I follow her and we have a nice and brief talk in English. I tell her I'm from Germany and it's my first time in Bulgaria, I'm here for a concert, but not to play myself - to watch a band. She's charming and welcoming as she's trying her best in communicating with me.
She drops me off with her colleague at the studio house. This new woman doesn't speak any English, so she hands me her telephone and I talk to the guy I talked before. We discuss the final details and then I have a super huge studio with a kitchen and sofa and a large bed all for myself. I charge my batteries, check the nearby restaurants and download the local Taxi App. It works like Beat in Greece, you can pay via credit card and so you don't have to withdraw too much money from the next ATM. I'm craving something fresh and healthy so I get late lunch at a close by fusion restaurant that serves an amazing poke bowl. As I have a full day left for sightseeing, I decide to head down early for the venue. I'm totally on my own this time and you never know how crazy the Bulgarian folks are about gigs. On my way getting there I have the best and cutest old taxi driver you can imagine. She talks English, shows me some sights of the city while passing them, tells me to definitely use the app after the show to not get scammed by another cab driver as the venue is in a students area and he hands me a tourist info in English about the most famous sights. He also changes the radio station to the rock channel once I told him about my plans for the evening and in just that moment, the gig gets announced on the station and Dropkick Murphys are played on the radio...
Boy, was I wrong about the audience. Nobody shows up until 30 minutes before door. The first person I get in contact with is G. from the UK. He tells me he came down as DKM and FT are his favourite artists. Well once more - I'm not alone at a Frank Turner gig and I guess I never will. Doors open, and about 6 people head into the venue, an ice hockey stadium. Once the six of us are in, nothing happens for an hour. I walk around, get me a coke and water and some caramel popcorn as apperently this is what you can buy at a gig in Sofia. Franks set is moved back by 20 minutes and once he enters the stage there are some hundred people inside the venue while the rest is still out front smoking. (For the first time of this tour, the promoter made actually sure that nobody is smoking indoors! It's a blessing!)
Once more some Frank Turner fans gather around close to the front. I can hear them singing both on my left and my right side, which makes me smile like a nutter and sing even louder. It's once more utterly insane to whitnes Franks first gig in Bulgaria. I guess it's pretty hard regarding the size of the venue and the small amount of people who do know him. But it doesn't stop him. No, he tries even harder, chats his bits through the Bulgarian language and he even managed to sing "Eulogy" in it. It's like his magic trick, everytime he does that, the crowds starts to respect him a tiny bit more. He tells the crowd how crazy it is for him to finally play a show in Bulgaria and says its pretty special to him as he wrote his university dissertation about British-Bulgarian relationships. This evening I sing extra loud during "I still believe" - as it somehow became the song of my trip to the East. I would never had thought that I would travel all the way down to Greece to see my favourite artist opening up for an American band. Well in the end I travelled to those places and the shows were the red cherry on top of doing the trip.
Sofia was finally the gig where I was able to witness a FULL Dropkick Murphys gig. I got me a seat on the side and enjoyed the non smoking environment. From the very first start about 2700 people went nuts. While looking around I saw so many happy faces and I once more realised how lucky I am living in Berlin with 5-10 gigs every day. These people had to wait more than 20 years to see Dropkick Murphys play in their city - in their country. And the guys from Massachusetts showed them what Punkrock was about. At one point singer Ken stopped the band as he saw someone in the crowd doing Nazi salutes. Ken was all about to jump into the crowd and fight that guy. Everything happened at the other side of the room, I didn't see anything besides a raging singer. But in this moment Ken earned a lot of respect from my end.
Luckily the show was ready to continue and I wandered a bit around until a friend of the band invited me to come up sidestage to become part of the final stage invasion of my tour. I've been side stage for many shows in my life, but to see this wild and happy crowd from up there made my heart jump with joy. It was beautiful and being part of the stage invasion some minutes later felt absolutely unreal. Do you know this feeling when you just think you're dreaming? That was me, dancing and singing around on a stage in Sofía, Bulgaria. Even when I look back to it now, I can not really believe this did actually happen to me.
Sometimes life is full of big surprises and I'm still so happy I decided to do this trip when all my fellow gig buddies said they wouldn't join. Traveling and going to my gigs on my very own made me learn a lot about myself but also a lot about those foreign countries and their people who react differently to you if you actually interact with them. When you're travelling in a group you tend to keep to yourself and turn around to keep chatting in your group conversation. This wasn't possible for me, I had to get in contact with people and I loved it! One more day in Sofia ahead...

Im real tired. I somehow lost the last hour. Just laying here. I am going to try to go to bed very soon.
I did not sleep well last night. I just couldn't turn my brain off. I think I fell asleep around 2. So getting up at 8 when my alarm went off was not going to happen.
I sort of half slept until 10. A little before 10. I got up and took a shower. I tried to not feel miserable. I had really wanted to work in my studio but I just couldn't shake it off.
I had a small breakfast. And I packed a lunch. I mostly just hung out on the couch. And then I decided I would just go to work. I left the house at 11. And got the bus pretty quickly. I was at the school by 11:30.
I spent my time there making some posters with our daily schedule and with some jobs. I made a whole new system which ended up working out really well and the kids seem to very much respond to. I did some cleaning and organizing. I'm mad at a few of the kids pieces that had accidentally gotten left behind. It was a nice morning.
Fitsum came around 1 and I got a little annoyed because he had made a lesson plan and just didn't send it to me for whatever reason. So even though I wrote one I wasn't going to argue. I'll just save it for later. But then Tiffany talk to him and we are going to possibly be switching teachers. I'm going to stay with 4th grade and fitsum might be moving too 5th. While Liz will stay with 5th and Mister Dee will come to 4th grade with me. That could go either way. I like Dee. I'm just hoping that it'll be a positive change for everyone. We'll see what happens.
But today would be the same. I went and collected the kids and then we went over our new rules and we made a class agreement and it was really good. They were really responding to us and being very respectful today. It felt pretty awesome.
We went out to recess and was cold out but I have some nice conversations with the kids. Couple of them confided in me about how they knew I would listen to them. And it was really nice.
Dinner was fine. They had french fries and they let me get some french fries too. So that was exciting. The kids cleaned up the tables and then we headed to the classroom to do art.
We decided that on our schedule 3:45 to 4 would be quiet instruction time. And only gets stuck to that basically. There was a little complaining and grumbling. About when we would start actually making art. But I think being consistent with the schedule is going to help them with some of the behavior issues that we tend to come across.
And having the 45 minutes of solid art time really seemed to work for them. They never really seemed to get bored in it. And even the ones that finished a little too fast I was able to redirect them a bit. We just drew and it was really good.
Cleanup could have gone smoother. My new system for who's in charge of cleaning up what got a little Askew. I think it's just going to be repetition of explaining what the cleaning groups me in. But in general it went really well and I'm very happy with how today went.
I took the kids to pick up. And there was a couple issues because one of my students had a watch it went missing. And the mom was saying that the kids were thieves and all the stuff and I promised I would shake them down tomorrow. And then 20 minutes later she comes back because they were halfway home and my students covered the watch was in his pocket. Which is what I said. That it was probably in his backpack or something. But whatever. And then we spent the next hour and change hanging their work for the show next week.
Honestly it all looks great. Me and fitsum we're basically done hanging all of our stuff at around a quarter to seven. So after some fussing with the tape and putting sculptures in the case in the hallway we headed home.
I got in the door right at 7. I that sweet pea and I have a sandwich. And then I messed around with my 1998 Furbys. I put batteries in Pascal, the baby oh, and he has the sweetest voice. He's calls me Mama and giggles and sings. His ears move which I was excited about. And I was hoping that he would communicate with Pongo but she was having issues turning on. So I had to do some vinegar wipe Downs of her battery pack to get her to turn on and then because she doesn't talk they didn't really communicate. But that's okay.Lil John will not turn on. I think I have to take the skin off and manually restart the motor. Because she's in a down position and not sleeping position? At least that's what my research has shown. I still don't feel completely comfortable doing that but we'll see what happens. I might try that on Saturday when I have the day off.
I played with those for a while and then watch the video. At 8 I went down to the basement to work on some art finally. I traced all of the watercolor flowers I have made and cut them all out. And I'm very pleased with how they look. Talking to Jess I think a tentative plan is that we're going to do one wreath a month. So this will be a much smaller scale project. But I want to be able to spend more time on the research and the sketching and all of the parts that go behind this project. So this one will be for the month of January even though it's mostly done at this point. I want to get some more research done for one's going forward and not rush. And if I can make more than one a month that's fine. But Jess is also doing it actual Hands-On part and she works differently than me. So I don't want to rush her either. Or make her feel like it's homework. It's supposed to be a fun thing.
I went and checked the mail and the Magnetic eyelashes I had purchased came. They are very silly. I cut them in half because I felt like they were too long. And it's definitely a look. Maybe for like a special event or something but I can't imagine actually wearing them for more than an hour or so. It's a very bizarre product.
I've been laying in bed for a while now though. Trying to get this post done trying not to be distracted by sweet pea. I really just want to get some sleep.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to wake up and work on some art again. Maybe clean something. Teaching all afternoon. Finishing hanging up our art. And then I'm supposed to have dinner with James. I have Friday and Saturday off. We were going to go to DC to go to the National Gallery on Friday but the government is still shut down. So I probably am not going to see that Rachel Whitehead show. But that's okay. I think we're going to try to do something else on Friday and then we might go ice skating. I hope it's just a nice day what's my favorite guy. Sleep well everyone. Stay warm.
