So I was replaying "Siblings" recently and I love it as a moment, I think "Broadwalks" is my favorite moment for Derek DLC but "Siblings" is extremely interesting for Derek's Character.

I won't go into a deep dive about the moment but I will say that I find it so interesting that Derek goes out of his way to care for something that, the MC can or cannot care for but in a sense it makes sense, at least I can see where Derek is coming from.

When I first played the moment I thought it was pretty bad that Derek invited MC over just to see how they felt during Father's Day and see if he could make them feel during the day instead.... asking MC how they felt about it, but like...it makes sense for Derek and it makes sense for his age.

He's 13 so my main thought was "this is bad, but he still is a kid and he won't exactly know how to bring up this sorta thing without thinking he's hurting MC", but now that I'm replaying I'm also thinking "it makes sense because Derek constantly goes out of his way to make sure everyone around him is taken care of" we once again see him mention how he doesn't have to put his siblings first but feels bad if he doesn't and his parents don't force him, this is just how Derek is.

But another thing about Derek is that he also immediately feels guilty and tries to fix the issue, that is a small issue to fix compared to his whole complex but I do think it's a really smart way to show us that Derek is self aware enough to see a problem and wanting to fix, which comes in full circle for his step 4.

Obviously fixing a small assumption and fixing how you view yourself and putting yourself first is hard, but I do think it shows us he will later see the error of his ways and MC could have had a part in it depending on your choices
