yakko has audhd and his special interest is academics (in general)
all of his more informational songs sound so infodump-ish??? like??? bro is THE audhd guy. his name is literally YAKKO
anyway like i gathered all the examples i could find!!! i'm RIGHT and NOBODY will tell me i'm wrong i DARE YOU TO CHALLENGE MY WISDOM
*i want to point out that a few of these have multiple singers, but typically it is mostly yakko singing anyways.
yakko's nations of the world
yakko's universe
yakko sings all the words in the english dictionary
the solar system song
the multiplication song
the geologic clock (although this song was never in an episode, and we've never heard rob paulsen sing it.)
(however, we got a song about the same topic, anyways!!) history of the earth
when you're traveling from nantucket
the presidents song
yakko's big idea (despite being fictional, he still uses "science words", and it's TECHNICALLY still about the solar system.)
the catch-up song
countries of the 19th century
a quake, a quake
ballad of magellan
so from this i'd gather that yakko has an interest in geography, astronomy, history, and arguably math and literature. maybe literature to a lesser degree, but math seems to come so easily to yakko. he had no struggle. he has no struggle in ANY of these songs. and u could argue they're just informational songs for the sake of being informational songs, but MOST of those informational songs are sung by yakko. off the top of my head i can only list wakko's continent song and dot's first lady song as songs that they've sung that are there to inform. also yakko's just really fucking smart anyways. he clearly knows all about these topics and it just seems like he is so interested in them?? i need to write an in depth analysis on his personality. i am the number one yakko fan.
*edit OH MY GOD I FORGOT ABOUT THIS. wakko asks a question about who someone is, and yakko IMMEDIATELY says "i'm glad you asked!" pulls down a board and starts singing about 16th century italy. BOY KNOWS HIS HISTORY. HE IS AUTISTIC ABOUT ACADEMICS!!!! ykw he'd be a good lecturer. i don't take criticism.
if i missed anything else PLEAAAASE let me know because like. i am so so so positive about this. i could list other things i think he finds interest in too, but if i do that i'd just list all three of the warners special interests or things i have noticed they take interest in.

What do you think would happen if the canon Warners met the ones from your AU, after they took over Warnerstock? My guess is the canon sibs would recognize the capes and crowns and mentions of Salazar and Warnerstock and instantly, half-rightly clock they were from a universe where the Wakko’s Wish movie was real life. Assuming only the Separated sibs needed filling in, they’d explain their life story…
Canon Yakko: So we were all locked in this water tower, and ‘cause toons here are immortal, we were stuck here for sixty years! And we finally got out -
Separated Wakko: Wait. You grew up together?
Canon Dot: Well, yeah. We spend every moment together. It’s one of the few redeeming qualities of our frankly horrendous lives.
Separated Yakko: (eye twitches, while his Wakko just stares at their other selves in awe) So you always knew where your siblings were and that they were okay?
Separated Dot: (with slowly building rage) You always knew what your brothers’ faces looked like?
Separated Wakko: (not angry, but curious) You never felt this ever-present sense of wrongness and loss because you weren’t meant to be alone?
Separated Dot: You didn’t nearly die of tuberculosis on the streets and then get taken in by strong contenders for the Worst Parents Award?
Separated Yakko: Did you ever even stumble upon the hanged corpse of your surrogate mother, giving you PTSD and the beliefs that you were innately unlovable and everything you loved would inevitably die?!
[Beat.]
Canon Wakko: …I get the feeling your lives weren’t like our movie.
Canon Yakko: I mean, we’ve definitely been abused, neglected, betrayed and abandoned by most authority figures who have had and still have power over us, if that somehow helps. Wow. No wonder the fandom is a sadistic, masochistic mess.
GOD i am So Sorry, I tried so hard to expand on what you already gave me but my brain just Would Not Cooperate, and now it's been months since you sent this and I feel so bad akdjaj. Maybe one day I'll finish that drabble, but for now it shall just haunt me from my drafts, never to see the light of day again.
ANYWAY, but I really love the idea of the canon Warners comparing their lives to Separated Warners, if only so there's no sugar coating the bullshit both versions of them went through. S!Warners hearing that C!Warners have always been and will always be with each other from conception hits right home because that is quite literally the only thing S!Warners have ever wanted. and C!Warners hearing that not only have their counterparts been split up from one another since childhood, but also that they have gone through such horrible trauma without having their siblings there to help them through it would allow C!Warners to look back with a slightly less bitter eye and think, well at least we had each other.
I think having each individual character set next to each other to see just how differently they could have turned out is interesting too.
S!Dot is still sassy and spitfire-like, but she's subdued, often wracked with indecision and insecurity. C!Dot has never been unsure of anything she's done ever in her life.
S!Yakko is haunted by the death of his mother figure and has done mental gymnastics to conclude that everything that has ever gone wrong was his fault specifically, as victims of trauma are wont to do. C!Yakko has anxiety much like his counterpart, but he's confident, he's brash. He knows his sibs love him and that doesn't scare him; in fact, it's what gives him strength because he knows they'll always be there for him.
S!Wakko has taken it upon himself to be the sole bearer of happiness and love in a time and town full of sorrow and fear. He berates himself when he feels down because he thinks he's letting everyone else down. He thinks he shouldn't be feeling bad because he thinks of himself as a beacon of joy. C!Wakko is just happy to be here. KIDDING, he's happy to be here, but also he loves his siblings very much and loves to do skits with them and sing with them. He likes to have time to himself where he just vibes, which contradicts S!Wakko, who can't relax unless he's specifically helping someone Else relax.
The C!Warners understand that their fandom is full of people that love angst and hurt/comfort, so while the S!Warners' stories are upsetting, they're not all that surprising. It allows them to reflect a little, like I said, and be grateful they at least had each other.
The S!Warners look at their canon counterparts, and two-thirds of them are angry, sad. Why couldn't that be them? Sure, they went through bullshit too, but they had each other. That's not fair. And I think S!Wakko, beacon of light that he is, would take his siblings anger and understand it, but would inevitably be like, "Well... I'm just glad there's a version of us that's happy."
And it's a bit shocking hearing S!Wakko admit that he isn't, or at least wasn't, happy, but his siblings take a look at their counterparts, who are joking and teasing with each other now. S!Dot looks at how C!Dot doesn't hesitate to quip and snark and snap. S!Yakko looks at C!Yakko's relaxed shoulders, half-lidded eyes, smarmy smile, how he jokes and jabs and jabes with his siblings as if there was never any doubt that he'd be able to. Like the thought of parting with them for any reason had ever crossed his mind.
"Yeah," says S!Yakko, still bitter, but he had to admit, it was nice seeing a relaxed version of himself. It was like looking in a fun house mirror. "I guess there's that."
"Still wish it was us, tho," says S!Dot, who finds it harder to let go of bitterness and anger.
"Sure," says S!Wakko. "We can still be happy for them, tho."
"... I guess," she mutters.
ANYWAY, ended up writing a half-drabble anyway. Why is my brain like this. But yeah! I think fanfic characters meeting canon characters is always fun, because comparing similarities and differences is always interesting and cool. Thanks so much for the ask and I'm sorry it took this long to get out, again.

"Helloooooooo nurse!
Uhhhhh
Wait a minute, you expect us poor innocent children to climb that dangerous scaffolding and paint naked people over a church?" (Yakko Warner original Animaniacs 1993-1998)
"Yeah I'm zainer than Billy, to the max! Leader of the animated maniacs" (Yakko Warner reboot of Animaniacs 2020-)
Hey everyone! Now that I'm finally officially finished with math I can get back to making edits more frequently! I wanted to start by making my husbandos since really I don't have a lot of comfort characters that I haven't made edits for that didn't make the cut. The only other one's were Katie from The Michells Vs The Machine's which everyone has already heard me talk about endlessly. So I've decided that we're going to forgo my rambling about the same characters over and over and instead move along to making edits for characters that I've never made one's for and haven't talked about a whole lot, my husbandos from cartoons. There is a surprisingly short list so I figured that it would be the easiest for me to slowly get back to work making edits again.
Most of you that have talked to me for all of five minutes know that one of my favorite shows from my childhood was Animaniacs. It gave me two relatable characters that grew to make up my adult and teen personality when I got older. I've already talked about my love of Dot to death by this point in my life. Everyone and their mother that follows me knows that she's not just my favorite character on the show but my favorite female character in any cartoon ever. But what most people don't know is that my two favorite Warner siblings are constantly going at it for the coveted spot as favorite Warner. As most of you can probably guess my husbando in the Animaniacs universe is the oldest brother Yakko Warner.
To talk about Yakko we have to time travel a bit. We have to go back to when I was nine sitting in my fourth grade class when one of my favorite teachers that I've ever had in my entire life, Mrs McFarland pulled down her projector. We had just started studying geography for the first time. She told us beforehand that there were new countries and places that were no longer countries anymore that were listed in the song. But she thought that it was the best way to teach us the material. The moment that I saw this little ball of energy and adorableness bouncing around I knew that I was hooked. Some part of me already knew that he would be one of the characters that would "ruin" me for the future type that I've come to have.
I promised myself that I would go home that day and start watching the actual show. Fast forward almost thirteen years later and I still love him just as much as I did back then if not more. Every time I go back and rewatch the show again I love him even more. It's a curse but at this point I wouldn't have it any other way. We all have those characters that have shaped the way that we want our significant others to be when we're younger and for me the first of all of those was Yakko Warner.
I feel like a lot of the time Yakko's intelligence gets vastly undermined. A good chunk of the educational songs went to him in the original show something that the reboot has yet to receive. I hope that in the second season we get a second calling to Yakko's Nations Of The World or something like that. Every time I remember the original Animaniacs one of the biggest things that I remember is the educational stuff. They treated children like adults and taught them things that really mattered and so many things that I know today is due to the things that Yakko taught me. He literally helped me understand multiplication also when I was in the fourth grade. I got a medal from my principal as well for knowing them. In the reboot there was a severe lack of Yakko intelligence I feel like. That was my biggest problem with it, and even then it wasn't huge. A lot more character went to Dot instead and she was the intellectual sibling while Yakko was the goofball flirty jokester. While that was a big part of his personality in the '93 version I do hope that we get the snarky intellectual soon.
Another thing that I love about Yakko is his protective streak as the older brother. He's always the first one to step into danger rather than letting his siblings go into trouble alone especially in the original show he was the first one to interact with the dangerous entity. He's the best brother ever and I will gladly die on this hill. I've fought for this boy for a majority of my childhood and will continue to do so for the rest of my days.
All my life I've loved cartoons. I consider Animaniacs, both the reboot and the original, one of my favorite cartoons. The original left a huge creative impact on my life with me creating my first self insert OC with my rabbit Lizzy. Ever since I was a kid I've always considered Yakko to be the best of all my cartoon husbandos. He's the one that I love the most and no matter what that will never change. I'll always love my factual intellectual boi that got me through elementary school.

Day 17 & 18 (I started making this post before midnight, and it wound up being posted after.)
S5E9 The Scoring Session
Just to tell you now, this is the last episode of the original series, but this is not the last segment.
Even if there weren't a few small sibling moments, I would've made a post about it anyway, because it became abundantly clear that this segment was made for the purpose of giving the side characters a proper farewell, in a very Animaniacs like fashion.
The premise is that their usual conductor has stepped out, so they have a replacement for the day.
As someone who's a sucker for series finales, I always pay attention to as much as I can, so I can see exactly what they did to show it's the finale.
And I was not disappointed, as the second it starts, they do a sweep over the studio lot, and into the recording studio.
Tumblr media
To drive the point home that this truly is a farewell to the side characters, they then proceed to give us this long shot of as many of them as possible, with the setup of being the ones recording today's score.
Tumblr media
Then the guest composer walks in, and it's abundantly clear he means business, as he starts listing rules they all have to follow.
Only problem being the Warners break all three of them one by one, for showing up late, interrupting him, and allegedly not being prepared for the session.
The composer introduces himself as Neivel Nosenest, which of course prompts some snickers out of Yakko and Dot, and we see THIS.
Tumblr media
I can't speak for the rest of you, but to me this is actually more of a parenting moment from Yakko, if for no other reason than I've actually seen many different parents do this with their own kids, even if that's all they do. Just put their hands on the back of the chair so they can be close to the kid.
And then the show goes on to confirm the extent of Yakko's musical genius, and I'll just let Yakko tell you in his own words.
It's like I've been saying all along: the guy could've had a very successful music career if he'd wanted it, and unlike others, he'd never let that go to his head.
They start composing the score, and as the scene played out on the screen, I managed to grab THIS little moment.
Tumblr media
Whether Dot is pushing him to go faster or actually trying to knock Wakko down so she can run him over, I say it still counts as a sibling moment, however small.
The session continues, with the Nosenest complaining about Wakko hitting a note wrong and Yakko deviating from the score.
Then they reach a part of the score where the string session has to play badly to make it sound more toony, and it causes a bunch of bad notes to wreak havoc and halt the session.
This prompts Nosenest to demand how they're supposed to finish if they keep causing problems, and the Warners respond by stealing his baton to compose the score themselves.
Yakko goes first, and though it sounds fine all things considered, Nosenest is not impressed, and snatches the baton back.
Dot takes it next, and we get the official farewell for their teacher, where on screen, they pop out of the drawer and plant a smackeroo on her, and yes, that's right, I managed to catch THIS right before they ran off.
Tumblr media
Now in wondering if they're purposely taking over as their way of sending off their co stars in a respectful way, as evidenced by Dot using Twinkle Twinkle Little Star as inspiration for the teacher's score.
Even so, Nosenest again says the music is all wrong, so Wakko takes it, and starts composing a country tune, only to have him promptly shut down by have the baton taken again.
He composes for a few moments, before Wakko steals it again and starts his country tune up again, right when there's a scene with square dancing, but Nosenest STILL steals the baton back, as a scene where the Warners steal a cart, and we see THIS.
Tumblr media
Another moment where it doesn't matter if Dot's holding onto Yakko's shoulders for safety reasons or not, I still say it counts.
Yakko finally manages to get a hand on the baton, only this time Nosenest isn't letting go, so there's a bunch of composing back and forth where Yakko gets to compose for the hippos, and Nosenest composes the Warners.
But apparently this turns out to be the final straw for Nosenest, as he finally snatches the baton out of Yakko's hand, and backs all three of them into a corner.
As they do so, we see THIS.
Tumblr media
Not even touching them, but Yakko's still holding a hand out in front of both of them to subtly tell them to not move.
They cower in fear of what Nosenest might do to them, but before he can, they reach the end of the score, and everyone applauds.
All in all, even if it's mostly a Warners centric segment, I like that they at least showed the side characters, and even the ones that weren't recording, were in the short they were scoring.
All in all, a very nice and respectful way to start off the series finale.

"No, I'm okay. I just — just need a minute. I'll be fine." The way he sniffled and rubbed at his red nose, it appeared he would need more than a minute. But so long as Zarina stood there, he couldn't allow himself to shed a single tear more. He couldn't. He shouldn't.
But it seemed no matter how hard he tried, no matter how quickly he built up the walls, they wouldn't hold. Most days, he could hold the disappointment back and plaster on a bright smile. Tomorrow was another day, another commission! There would always be more opportunities to prove himself. The only thing today proved was that he was truly, painfully unwanted.
Behind more sniffling, Bennett mumbled.
"They needed a group of six so they could split off into smaller pairs later. I volunteered, but no one wanted to pair up with me 'cause of my bad luck. They wouldn't even look at me when they said it." He hiccupped once and dropped his head into his hands, the tears hot on his cheeks. "I'm not trying to have bad luck. I want to adventure with people. I don't want to keep going at it alone."
One more cough, and he lifted his head. Knees up, arms wrapped around them, Bennett became despondent. ". . . At least I have you, Big Sis. My luck won't scare you off, will it?"
@xamassed
Tumblr media
There is one problem when it comes to Bennett and how the secretary acts with him: she does not see the young boy whose misfortune is causing him all these troubles. It is easy for her to push the image of her youngest deceased brother on top of him, but still have the mind to remember his name and not mess it up. The care she shows to the young boy is one that she would've shown Aleksey before, but alas, this is now all attributed to the young boy whose tears catch her attention and the woman puts on the face of a caring older sister. The image of Bennett disappears before her face, making her see now sobbing Aleksey, the woman knows how to use her previously buried emotions and acts back up to use everything for her own goal. Everything to achieve her truth and her desired ending. He is an important piece, any small pawn can become any other piece on the deck if they survive.
The tears streaming down his cheeks and the sniffles make her remember how Aleksey would act the same way when he's been pushed away by other kids for his siblings having visions while he does not. Without any moment to waste does the Snezhnayan gets on her knee to sit in front of the young boy, reaching out with her gloved hand to start wiping away his tears, her lips curl into a soft and understanding smile. The snake that will someday whisper of the end still remains sleeping as the woman hopes her cold hands will not make the boy fear her. It's not time for him to doubt her yet, he must start doubting all those who have hurt him. Opportunity is right before her and she will not allow anyone else to take it.
"The fact that they do not see such an obvious thing only makes them bad adventurers, Bennett. If they cannot understand your bad luck is simply that, they are weak and cannot be trusted," she speaks with a sad look on her face, her words are meant to both cheer him up and bring in some more doubt. Plant a seed and wonder how it'll grow or if it will wilt away. Either way, this boy here is one of those who would be necessary to her plans within Mondstadt and Dragonspine. Let him be hurt, she will be the safety he wishes to approach and she will make sure he is her alibi when the time becomes dire. She will lie to him to the very end, let his misfortune bring death to people later on down the line. Right now, Zarina knows she must console Bennett and make him understand she has no problems with his bad luck. After all, even bad luck could be turned into an opportunity. "I'm sorry, you probably don't want to hear it. Don't listen to them. I'm sorry you've been going through this. You are right, your luck does not scare me. Do you know why? Because I know you do not mean to call for it."
Her smile is warner now, her words sound genuine and careful. The woman makes sure to underline that she is here to support him and be his friend. Everything that is connected to his bad luck is going to be used. She will make the adventurers eat those words, they do not understand how powerful this boy's natural gift could be. Well, to her, it could be a gift but to others it could be their greatest misfortune.
"How about we go together tomorrow? For now, let's go to the theater. You know the kids love you there and so do every staff member. Even if you get some things broken, we can fix it, right? Now, if you want to cry some more," she opens her arms to show him he can hug her and cry like that. Aleksey did this before, she will treat Bennett just like her youngest brother from before. "You can cry while hugging me. It would be better than crying alone, right? Come here. I'm your Big Sister after all, right?"
If only the youngling could see the dark shadow looming somewhere deep within the golden gaze. The manipulations of a monster in the guise of a welcoming figure continue to root deeper within the walls of Mondstadt. If she needs to take her time to become someone he can trust, she will take her time to establish this connection. Such tools are the most important in her plans.
“How can I leave my Little Brother alone when he is shedding tears?”

@skiplo-wave yeah that, but in particular... for some people it's more about 'content' or what subject is being presented or discussed in the movie as well is the big M word: Marketing.
Like, okay, yeah I'd love to watch the Last Duel. I like history flicks even though they aren't about my country's history or my people, I'm still interested. I'm that kind of person. Other people, some people, the worry about the rape thing. The topic. For some people, that goes from squick to hard trigger for PTSD. So they avoid it. That's their thing. That's them doing their bit to secure and maintain they're own health.
They're the minority, in this issue. Another thing is the Marketing. Marketing. Marketing. Marketing.
How many trailers were made? Were the actors talking about it? Were the Studios actively making an effort to get the shit out there and the news about it out there? Because, as I've seen the argument about it, if people don't know about a movie? They won't watch it. I could see a million different trailers for a Disney soapbox family fix than I would for a movie I would have vested interest in. Some of the good movies I wanna watch and found just recently but can't because I'm broke had their trailer and global release several years ago. So yeah, marketing and noise are a thing.
Don't get me started on the activist crowd too, because they also hold sway on what the supposed public would be after. The ones who actually know what they're talking about raise good points about, say, how India and that major chunk of the Asian continent is often portrayed a certain way almost to make it look as if we were backwards; or the film makers had no input from regional sources and went off to make a 'savior' flick without any regards for the complexity of the situation that country is or those people are in.
The ones who are in it for woke points, which mind are a feral fucking population of dumbasses more prevalent than their counterparts and are the LOUDEST, will call it out for some thing or rather that doesn't make sense. Actor is too white despite being native. Actor is too black to possibly be an actual person from that region. This actor and this actor are friends of the director and have made too many movies with them. This script has rumors of this this and this. These characters aren't gay enough. These characters are too gay. That character can't be in with the other guy cause they married the other other guy...supposedly.
While I can agree some of these could be a problem in context, but sometimes their other arguments also make no sense and are even more out of touch. Like claiming Squid Game is about communism. Yeah, I know.
On piracy...people are broke. There's an uproar and support for piracy because Warner and Disney are shit and so on and so forth, but another chunk of that population? Broke. Aren't allowed outside because strict parents, too young siblings, no parent too many siblings, all that coupled with income shortage leads to one thing. We'll still support the film. We'll share about it, we'll up boost it on Insta, but in the end...yeah we watch it free... because we're broke.
I did that for Minamata. I love Minamata...but I was broke. Richard Says Goodbye too. When I have money, I'll buy them both like my mom did for Pirates and Sweeney Todd {Johnny Depp is hereditary in my family}. Hard copy DVD for my shelf and maybe the PC I'll be getting one day, but I was still broke when I first watched it.
So yeah, those are things. People need to know a thing exist to have a vested interest. They have a right not to if it hurts to watch. Guilty but true and unfortunate, we pirate films because we're broke and senseless mediocre activism with no real critical thinking leads herd collective thinking and films being shut down for even looking the slightest bit dubious.
You think Silence of the Lambs could be made for the first time in this day and age? Me neither, because there's issues in it that can put some people off and other less pressing things the media and false activists could blow up to vilify the entire production.
This has been a take. Otherwise? Yeah, I agree with the dude. What we show up for influences what's being made. DVD helps with gaps in money-back, big IP sequels and spinoffs with mediocre writing are fucks and Studios are also fucks.
@thottiehardy thoughts?
youtube
To sum up money but very much agree
