trying to do a ctf and got a connection error and when I looked it up the only results were 3 Chinese websites
#what’s worse looking up and answer and the only result is a Reddit comment that says ‘check dms’ or is deleted#or whatever this is.#why are we still here just to suffer etc#I’m 99% sure it was just the the connection between me and the vm that was causing it#those things are so finicky.#I wasn’t even doing anything crazy man#the server had a vulnerable app that allows remote code execution#so I upload a shell and mimikatz cause the ctf asked for a hash#the uploads were fine but I could not get any command through to mimikatz#just an error#looking up the error alone gave me stuff for like server admins aka people trying to fix their own server not trying to break into one#so I looked it up with mimikatz included and that’s when I got the 3 websites. man.#either I am the first person on earth to get that error in this specific scenario#or search engines are useless
