While I see yanYQY as wildly out of character, I’m personally fond of the idea that YQY has some yandere thoughts and impulses, but keeps the bottled up inside both out of shame, and out of acknowledgment that it might make SJ uncomfortable (As seen in Grand Unified Theory of Shen Qingqiu, for instance).

YQY has a very strong innate desire to protect and provide for SJ, and I think it’s cute if those thoughts become a teeny bit weird about it ❤️

Actually I think that even though the characterization of YQY in fanfics as a yandere is super OOC, between 79, YQY is definitely the Least Normal about his feelings for SQQ

#also even tho it’s ooc I do still enjoy a good yandere YQY from time to time #I think YQY loosing everything and going a little insane is frankly canon #(man rushed into an obvious trap not caring for the consequences to himself and the sect he left behind)#so I think it’s fun for AUs where YQY goes back in time or something similar #that said #the part of yandere YQY that feels /truly/ OOC #is when he completely loses his care and compassion for anyone besides SJ #that is not my boy #my boy is an endless fount of love and care #for everyone #svsss #yue qingyuan #shen jiu #qijiu #meta #fish meta
