Can I ask this for all of them: 12. Is your OC cynical or optimistic? Who or what shaped their outlook on life?

Scarlet: she walks on a tightrope between the two, leaning one way or the other on circumstance. She definitely started on the optimistic side in ARR, then swung to cynical on HW, and now tries to balance the two. She tries to be realistic, but she has to be on some level of optimism for change to do all the things she does as a WOL and servant of Nald'Thal Clem: Even after Haurche's death, she is pretty optimistic! She started with a bad case of lucky girl syndrome, and toned it down to more realistic levels as she realized that, well, she isn't in fact Hydaelyn's favorite most specialest girl. But she never really lost her love for life of enthusiasm for the future Justine: cynical. One does not have the life she has and still be optimistic. But she tries to put on a brave face for her kids, and trust in Clem's abilities, so her throwing her lot with the WOL/Scions in HW was a rare moment of truly hopeful want for change, though one that left her very uncertain on her own future as a dragoon and noblewoman. Mathias: Optimistic, if a bit jaded. He may have had a rough life, but he can't help but love the world and ultimately believe there is more good than bad in it. Snow: despite what people think, he's actually near delusionally optimistic. He is fully convinced that Minfilia could come back after the HW patches until being straight up told that she is dead in SHB, and is fully trusting that his father is alive and well despite not having seen or heard of him for 14 years and that he can find him if he can just get to Garlemald (despite the country's constant killing of dissidents) and that everything will be as before. He may believe himself a vengeful ghost of a man, but he's always 100% sure that his revenge will be successful and will fix everything.
