Do you have any weird phobias? Like, I'm afraid of creaky doors, that kind of thing?
Phobias are like kinks- what might seem weird to some is very real to others. We don't phobia shame in this house!
That being said, I have 2 atypical phobias:
Fear of that sound of insects flying past my ear (which, unfortunately, is the sound my EHS creates 9/10 times).
I cannot walk past a window with the blinds/curtains open after dark. I have to close my eyes tight and slowly approach to close it.
Do those count?
#ask#the window one is bad. i have to make sure blinds are tightly closed during dusk before it gets too dark#and in dramas or movies when you see big glass cutouts in doors that are easily seen through or gigantic windows#that is my idea of hell#like those gifs you see of romantic cabins with entire walls of windows to watch the rain or snow- that is a hell no for me#snow isnt bad bc usually enough light is reflecting that it never really feels dark but that principal doesnt apply to like#nights where there is a bright full moon- i still cant have windows open#and the bug wing sound bothers me so horribly that I had to wear headphones during a shoot outdoors#in an area infested with those tiny little sweat bees#because the sound was causing me to flinch really hard constantly#if my EHS acts up badly enough as I am falling asleep i will wake up with my hands balled into fists pressed against my ears
