androids that act as makeup artists in big corporate buildings because their extremely precise eyes mean they make fantastic MUAs and instead of fighting with makeup at 6am you can just roll into the office and have really professional makeup applied in like 10 minutes

an android that is really jaded and worn down gets treated like an actual person by someone

they start talking and he starts seeing that not all people see androids as just machines

and then they become friends. and then they void his warranty 🥵

Anyway the doctor giving me a covid booster and the flu shot at the same time yesterday when I've already been not feeling great for a week now is making me feel ☠️☠️☠️

I appreciate the advice, and I love the art

So, after 2 months of working on it... I FINISHED MY DRAGON AND CENTAUR PAINTING!

It was a tough one as it's pretty big (31x11 inches, I think) and there were ups and downs along the way. But... I finished it.

Then... I scanned it in.

Then... I started adding some things DIGITALLY that I was too afraid to try on the finished painting.

First... I added snow.

And... I kinda l liked it.

Then... (this is the tough one)... I added heat distortion around the dragon's mouth. (like the air's so hot it's distorting the image of the trees behind).

And... I kinda liked that too.

I posted a video about it and overwhelmingly everyone liked the digital enhancements.

So... I'm going to make the poster with this one. Not the original.

And normally... this would have bothered me. I would have felt that the original was "more true to my art", but... BOTH of these are "my art".

There's nothing wrong with adding something digitally if you don't feel comfortable doing it traditionally.

There's no "right or wrong" in art. There's no "cheating".

And despite me saying this to others every day... sometimes I need to remind myself about this too.

If you like painting traditionally but there are some things you feel more confident doing DIGITALLY? Scan that traditional art in and DO IT DIGITALLY!

It's YOUR art. You make it any way you want.

When heading into the winter holiday season I always aim to take away any pressure. This means that it's time for a creative burst. The ideas flow, the work starts to flow.

I always hope for a relaxed time for creative work.

So, I've written a Style Sheet for the Cityscapes project. Now it's time to use the sheet to create my first set of pieces.

Also a time to truly get to grips with the Uno, the Skulpt and the OP-1.

I haven't made anything from snow on ages. Even as a kid I hated playing outside in cold weather. But recently I found some fun in it, I guess

You see, my studies were light yesterday, and the weather was good, and it was snowing for a few days - first snow of the dark season, a timid thin layer that can melt in one rainy night for now, so instead of going home straight away I decided to linger at the Academy territories a bit and build a snow horsie.

...then half an hour later my friend found me and decided to join, and somehow the plans for a snow horse changed to a snow moose. We molded a ligamentum nuchae for it with a help of a stick.

But in the end instead of a moose we got. This creature. This is not even a centaur, I'm not sure what this is, but we took one look on it and decided to keep it that way instead of skulpting a proper head x,D
