I love your fem versions of Tulio and Miguel!! I'm curious how you came up with the names though? The Spanish feminine of Miguel is Micaela (if "Miguella" exists it's closer to an Italian spelling). Tulio is a very uncommon name, but ironically enough (because Miguel is very common but Micaela isn't) it has two very common feminines: Natalia ("Talia" is a nickname) or Talía, with the accent. Tulia isn't a name, as far as I know. This isn't meant as criticism I'm just genuinely curious, because they aren't Spanish names (at least not in Castilian, and Tulia anywhere I don't think)
Hello and thank you! Don't worry, I don't see this as criticism at all, in fact I'm always open to discussion when it comes to these topics that i'm not that familiar with, thank you for sharing your knowledge from your side of the world!
Now, allow me to explain (i will try to the best of my ability):
"Tulia and Miguella" were never meant as literal names, actually. They were just temporary placeholders i guess, since saying "Fem Tulio and Fem Miguel" was too bulky and I wanted The Girls to have their own identity. They came from the way feminine endings are created in the russian language. There are a lot of variations of feminine endings depending on the suffix and sometimes it's up to the speaker to decide wich one to use. I just went with what felt right in my heart, you know. Since these endings are very soft sounding they also kind of double as diminutives.
Funnily enough, names Micaela and Natalia also exist in the russian language, the latter is very common, the short form of it is Natasha - I'm sure you've heard it before :) But it never even occured to me that I could use actual female names to substitute the male names of the original characters. I guess the real names are too, well, real for me, hahah. These women are my own fairytale saviors, if you will, and Tulia is no Natasha to me, she's Tulia, just like Miguella is no Maria, she's Miguella.
So in short Tulia and Miguella is just my affectionate way of calling The Girls that has stuck with them. And now they are forever Tulia and Miguella 💙❤️
