Honestly I think people tagging posts about Palestine with popular fandom tags is bad, but not because of any weird bullshit "tag clogging" thing, but because I and many people I know have most popular fandom tags muted. Like tagging a post about Palestine as "mcu" just means that when I'm in the tag for Palestine, I won't see that post at all, because I have MCU muted and tumblr (on the mobile app at least?) automatically removes posts with muted tags from the tag feed for you, and also if I see a post reblogged by someone onto my dash that says "This post contains filtered content: #fanfic #mcu #disney" because of OPs tags I'm not going to open it because my first thought will not be "This is probably a post about Palestine!" it will be "This is a post about some MCU show I don't care about" and I think that probably isn't what OP intends.
#txt#Like obviously I don't think people who do this are bad people or anything I just don't think they think about it.#I only JUST realised anyone was doing this btw and it was ENTIRELY by accident#so I'm wondering how many posts about Palestine I have missed because of people using fandom tags#since Tumblr (on mobile at least) doesn't have any whitelist feature.#I think overall people should use the most direct tags available and keep those tags clear of unrelated information#ESPECIALLY Palestine tags
