Ghost Bound Announcement

Chapter 4 is finally here!!!

I wanted to share some info with everyone regarding the comic and future updates.

While I build a buffer and get back into the swing of things, Ghost Bound will be updating once a week (every Friday). Hopefully in a few months I'll be able to transition back to updating twice weekly! Webtoon & Tapas episodes will be posted there every two weeks.

You may have noticed another change if you've already checked out the update: After much deliberation, I've decided to switch to cleaning up my sketches instead of doing the smooth vector linework that I've used since the start of Ghost Bound. This will streamline the page creation process and make the comic more sustainable in the long run! I've always tried to make the level of finish for each panel similar to a standalone illustration, but I've realized that approaching comics with this mindset leads to burnout. Not only that, but there are times where I look back to my sketches in comparison to the finished line work, and I feel a sense that some of the original motion, fluidity, and intent gets lost with the crisp and clean lines.

I'll miss the smooth lines and I'm sure many of you will too, but I think it's the best decision in the long run for the longevity and stability of the comic! Thank you for understanding and reading & supporting Ghost Bound!

(We're also experimenting with ads on the official Ghost Bound site to help pay for the server costs, so please let me know if you see any inappropriate, intrusive, or scummy ads! I've been trying to flag them but we're still getting things figured out)
