the holiday runaway II a.putellas
7K of good ole christmas angst straight from the fresaverse the holiday runaway II a.putellas (before the void blurb)
â-but mami why did you not say no!â alexia huffed with a fierce scowl, eli sighing and shaking her head as she turned toward her eldest.
âalexia. ya te lo he dicho. i said no, but they are coming anyway! they just want to help, help to make it a nice holiday, a family holiday.â eli warned, turning back to furiously mixing the bowl of batter in front of her.
âso you, me, alba and fresa. we are not enough of a family?â alexia scoffed as eli rolled her eyes. âjust because papi died does not mean we-â alexia stopped at the sound of the shatter, eli mixing so intensely the bowl cracked and the batter spilt all over the counter.
âalexia!â eli snapped in frustration , the girl falling silent as footsteps sounded and within seconds both of her other daughters arrived. âwhat happened? mami, estĂĄs bien?â alba asked with a concerned frown, stepping forward to help clean but stopping in her tracks as eli held up a dirty hand.
âi will clean this up. just both of you, change your sheets over and make your beds, clean your rooms and help your hermanita do hers too.â eli ordered, wetting a sponge as you frowned in confusion. âbut mami my rooms not dirty!â you piped up as eli paused and exhaled deeply.
âfresa, hija. your tĂa y tĂo are going to stay in your room when they are here remember? you will share with alba, and alexia will-â the woman couldnât even finish her sentence before your eldest sister interrupted.Â
âalexia will go to jenniâs. esto es una mierda!â the brunette spat, detesting the entire idea of half the family descending on the house for the holidays and having made this known but her protests fell on deaf ears, and so she wasnât planning to stick around for the chaos.Â
she didnât want it, all of the pitying looks, the overcompensation, the extra hugs and kisses and assurances everything was going to be fine.
her papi wouldnât be there to dress up as santa, he wouldnât be there to build presents refusing to use the instructions, he wasnât there to cook christmas eve dinner, wasnât there to wrap everything last minute and wake alexia up at ten at night to help him.
things werenât fine, this was their first christmas without him and all alexia wanted was to forget it was even happening. she didnât want to celebrate, didnât want to buy gifts and make a big fuss, she just wanted to sleep and let it all pass her by.
âbien. i do not have time for this they will be here in an hour.â your mami began furiously cleaning the batter from the counter as alba carefully plucked up the shards of the broken bowl, and you charged after your sister who marched off to the front door.
âale but you canât go!â you latched onto her leg and looked up with the best pleading puppy dog eyes you had, ones which normally melted your sister like a stick of butter in the sun but today was not that day.
ânot now fresa.â your sister warned quietly, pulling you off and sitting down to wrestle on her shoes. âbut-but we have to be together ale, its christmas!â you tried again, arms wrapping around your sisters knee and eyes begging for her to change her mind.
âi said not now.â she pulled you off again, holding you off with one arm white trying to tie her shoe with the other, giving up and kicking her shoes off, sheâd put them on in the car.Â
âbut what about all the stuff we do? the lights? movies? cookies? you promised.â you stomped your foot, tears welling up in the corners of your eye as your sister didnât even spare a glance, standing up and grabbing her keys off the hook.
âsĂ? well sometimes people break promises.â alexia muttered, stopping with her hand on the door as again you latched on tightly to her leg. âbut you donât, best friends donât and you promised alexia, you promised that-â your words fell short as your sister grabbed a fistful of your shirt and yanked you off.
âvĂĄyase! go bother someone else.â and with that you were shoved away, the door opening and slamming closed so hard one of the pictures fell off the wall and you winced hearing your mami scream angrily after your sister who wasnât there to hear, already sat in her car and shoving the key in the ignition.
bottom lip wobbling you sank down to the floor, tucking your knees up and trying to make yourself as small and as tight as you could, watching as alexia backed out of the driveway, gone.
â-you promised christmas would still be fun without papi.â
~
âfresa? terminaste? they will be here soon!â you looked up from your place on the floor and nodded, your toys all put away in their correct place as you finished shoving the race track your sisters made you for your matchbox cars very carefully under your bed.
âalba! dĂ©jalos en paz!â you shot up to your feet as your sister began to gather your small army of stuffed animals from their rightful place on your bed, tugging on the hem of her shirt and trying to grab them back.
âtĂa y tĂo cannot sleep with all your baby crap on the bed fresa.â alba rolled her eyes, pushing you away with her foot and sliding open your cupboard, stashing your furry friends away on the top shelf you couldnât reach.
âbut this is where they live! on my bed! what if they get sad and scared up there? its dark and its cold and-â you tried to climb up your drawers to reach them, your sister snagging the back of your sweatshirt and tugging you off before you could hurt yourself, sliding your cupboard closed again.
âthey will be scared? or you will be scared?â your sister teased with a smirk as your eyes narrowed into a glare. âaww can bebĂ©s pequeños not sleep without their teddy bears?â alba pouted mockingly, messing up your hair and holding you off with a hand against your forehead as you tried to swing at her.
âmânot a baby!â âare too.â âam not!â âare too, and you better not drool in your sleep tonight monstruito.â you hit the floor with a huff and a thump, alba shoving you and leaving your room as you scowled after her, your plan to chase her down interrupted by knocks at the door.
you heard your mami answer, pulling it open as a symphony of voices and greetings sounding out, you jumped to your feet and hurried out toward the source.
âsuperestrella!â you were intercepted by your tĂo danny, tossed up into the air with a giggle, arms wrapping around his neck in a tight hug as he jokingly pretended to drop you before warmly kissing your cheek hello.
âtĂo where is angel?â you asked excitedly, pushing up with your hands on his shoulders and trying to peer past the crowd of relatives in the front door, determined to spot your favourite dopey four legged companion.
âoh lo siento angel could not come chica, he is at home!â your tĂo explained as you visibly deflated with a small oh of disappointment, the older mans toothy grin fading a little as you did so.Â
âoye there is no frowning en navidad! santa is always watching.â he tickled your stomach as you managed a small smile, pushing his hand away and placed down on the floor, wincing as your cheeks were smooshed and pinched and kissed until finally you managed to scurry away.
you found eli in the kitchen avidly discussing something with two of your tĂaâs, but it all stopped the moment your footsteps were heard, eli shushing the women sharply with a click of her tongue as you arrived.
âmami where is everyone gonna sleep? in the backyard?â you asked with a puzzled frown, the three women laughing at your question as you were lifted to sit on one of the island stools.
âsĂ we are camping nena!â one of your tĂaâs teased, pinching your cheek as you grimaced and eli chuckled. âpapi liked camping, alexia said he could build a tent in ten seconds!â you chimed in holding up all ten of your fingers, a strange silence falling as both women behind you shared a concerned look which had eli rolling her eyes.
âhe was mija, the best tent builder, and the best at fishing! he was always catching us dinner when we went camping.â your mami encouraged, pushing your fringe out of your face with a soft smile that you returned.Â
âfish are slimy.â you pulled a face of disgust which made her chuckle, both other women seemingly relaxing a little but eli could tell this entire week was going to be walking on egg shells, and not for everyone else.
âyou ate fish for dinner the other week fresa, in the restaurant!â one of your cousins laughed as he walked in, messing up your hair as you scowled and smacked his hand away.
âthat fish was for food, not for swimming!â you replied in a duh tone as the boy gasped sarcastically, smacked over the head by his mother who glared in warning, causing your cousin to shrink and wander away again.
but despite your concerns, the sleeping arrangements were set. half the family were staying with your abuela and abuelo on the other side of town, and half were squishing into the putellas household where everyone would gather for the celebrations later in the week.
three of your cousins were taking up alexiaâs room and a blow up mattress, another was crashing with alba as were you on the other blow up in there too. your room was for one set of adults, the other couple crashing on the sofa bed out in the garage. tĂo danny was on the couch, alexia was apparently at jenniâs and eli, at her families insistence, had her room to herself.
only when you arrived to your new sleeping quarters, you frowned not seeing the mattress where it was supposed to be, most of the floor still occupied with albas clothes, bags and shoes, which she was supposed to have cleaned up.
âwhat?â the older girl asked with a frown of annoyance as you hovered in the doorway, backpack shoved to the brim with god knows what and several books clutched in hand. âiâm sleeping here.â you reminded in case sheâd forgotten, but the eye roll confirmed she hadnât.
âsĂ, sleeping. is it time to sleep? no. vĂĄyase!â alba pointed for you to leave as you frowned. âwheres my bed?â you questioned, taking a step forward as your sister shuffled off her own bed where sheâd been sat gossiping with your cousin who sent you a wink and a wave.
âhere.â alba kicked a few things away to create a tiny circle of space in the furthest corner of the room. âon the floor?â you gasped with wide eyes of shock.Â
âi canât sleep on the floor!â you argued when she made no move to say another word, the older girl rolling her eyes and tugging open her cupboard, pulling something out with a grunt and dropping it to the floor, pushing a few more things out of the way to make room.
âallĂ, a bed.â your sister gestured as you continued to stare at her in bewilderment as if sheâd grown two hands. âthat is for angel!â you huffed and pointed to the shaggy dog bed now sat on the floor. âso? you are the same size.â alba snickered, flicking your ear as she passed you.
âalba! no seas cruel con ella. ven aquĂ preciosa, tell me about school!â your cousin laughed, patting a space on the bed and gesturing for you to climb up and sit beside her. though no sooner had you taken one step forward you were being lifted off the ground by the straps of your bulging backpack, carried right over to the door and dropped past the threshold.
âthis line? no insectos allowed past until it is time to sleep.â and with that the door was promptly closed in your face, a quick jiggle of the handle proving alba had locked it too as your shoulders sagged, trudging away and dragging your backpack behind you.
but then you heard cheering and your head snapped up, noticing the rest of your cousins kicking a football around in the backyard.Â
so leaving your backpack and your books by the sofa you raced off to join in, but no sooner did you appear were you once again sent away, warned you were too little and might get hurt, arguments ignored as you were shooed off and trudged back inside with a huff.
you tried asking one of your tĂos to build legos with you, alexia having bought you a brand new set last week as apology for forgetting to pick you up from school, but he was on his way out to buy another gas bottle for the bbq, and your requests to come with him were dismissed as the front door closed in your face.
you asked one of your tĂas if she wanted to colour in or help you read or write a story, having homework to learn ten new words from your list over the break, but she was busy redecorating the tree, claiming the theme was off and it had too much red and not enough gold and it was just all wrong.
you tried explaining that you always helped with the tree, puffing out your chest and trying to hang some ornaments, only for them to be pinched off the tree and you gently moved out of the way, once more dismissed as you deflated with a sigh, wandering off to find someone else who might have time for you.
though as you tried with each family member making your way through one by one everyone was always just too busy. cooking or cleaning or unpacking or decorating, and despite the fact there seemed to be an infinite list of things to get done, nobody wanted your help.
you had a house full of people and yet youâd never felt so alone, an hour passing by as you sat yourself by the front door, watching the driveway and waiting eagerly for your sisters car to return, knowing she would always make time for you.
she was upset before, you could see that, but you hadnât been able to give her one of your special hugs and try to make her feel better, instead pushed off and told to go away as alexia had angrily stormed out.
but your mami always said that was her hormones talking and she was never really all that upset. no matter what alexia always came back, if going off to camp or an away game or just to the store, she promised she would always be back.
so you knew soon she would return, maybe even with jenni this time, and when she did she would say sorry and give you a bear hug and someone would want you around.
so you waited and waited and waited, even as the sun started to slowly go down, but despite the fact the afternoon was dying and dinner time was almost here, alexia didnât come back.
that was how eli found you a while later, not having seen you getting under anyones feet like she feared sheâd gone in search of her youngest. seeing you sat by the door watching hawk eyed through the bottom window panel, forehead pressed to the glass which would fog up every now and then as youâd puff air from your nose.
âfresa? mi nena what are you doing?â the woman let out a laugh, startling you a little as youâd not heard her approach. âwaiting for alexia. did you tell her dinner is nearly done mami?â you asked innocently, getting to your feet as the woman squatted down with a barely noticeable wince.
âyour hermana will not be back for dinner fresa, she is staying with jenni.â your mami explained softly, tucking a rogue strand of hair behind your ear which had fallen from the messy bun it was scraped back into. âtomorrow?â you asked hopefully as eli smiled, but didnât answer your question.
âshe will be back tomorrow. she told me she would take me to get some carrots!â you nodded answering your own question as your mami frowned curiously.Â
âcarrots?â âsĂ! for the reindeer, papi always left them carrots and we always left santa special cookies.â you nodded happily, elis face softening and a forlorn look glazing over in her eyes.Â
âoh he did didnât he, thank you for reminding me nena.â you beamed at that, pride written clear all over your face making your mami smile. âcan you go wash up for dinner please hija? if you are fast, you get first pick of the chairs!â
~
dinner itself wasnât so bad, bar everyone trying to cut up and feed you your own food and ignoring your protests you were old enough to feed yourself, you felt included. you were asked about school, your friends, the dance class youâd been trialing when the five a side football team your sister had signed you up for hadnât worked out.
though as always when your family gathered together, even without her actually there, the hottest topic at the table was alexia and her blooming football career. now if you were a little older you might have sensed there was someone at the table who wasnât so keen on this topic, routinely trying to change it or engage someone in a different conversation.
alba.
alexia may not have been so willing for this big surprise family christmas but alba had been quite looking forward to it, your cousin paula her own age and despite being related they were not unalike best friends. but when even paula spent most of dinner fussing over you or kissing up to alexia and her first national team call up, sheâd had enough.
just for once sheâd like someone to ask how school was going for her, what had she been up to, how was she doing. but she wasnât as adorable and cute as you, or as talented and passionate as alexia, so of course as usual she just seemed to fade off into the background.
which is why again if youâd been older, a little more able to see the signs, your sisters actions after dinner might have made more sense.
youâd been shooed out of the kitchen once everyone finished up eating, unintentionally getting under everyoneâs feet during the clean up process as you were trying to show off the new matchbox cars alexia had managed to source and gift you as an early christmas present.
youâd then made your way to the living room where the other half of the family, mainly the male half, were about to watch a football match. understanding most of the rules living in such a football mad family you were used to watching them on tv, usually with your sisters though alba would always fall asleep during the first half, you climbed up onto the couch ready to do just that.
however within seconds of wedging yourself comfortably in between one of your cousins and your tĂo danny, the yelling began and you covered your ears with a wince. you were used to loud football games but not in the living room, so with your ears ringing you hopped down and wandered off to find someone else to hang out with.
which is how you arrived to albaâs room, the door closed but you could hear laughter and voices inside, so with a slight stretch due to the growth spurt you were owed which hadnât arrived yet you managed to tug down the handle and open the door.
the voices ceased the moment you did though, your sisters eyes narrowing at the sight of you hovering in the doorway, rocking back and forth with your pockets stuffed full of matchbox cars, all your clothes a little too big for you since your winter gear was usually always hand me downs.
âwhat?â she asked sharply as you frowned at the frosty greeting. âcan i stay in here with you hermana? its loud out there.â you asked hopefully, the yelling and jeering only growing as the game progressed, fighting with the laughing and chattering coming from the kitchen where the clean up had become more of a catch up and a gossip.
âno. out!â alba pointed behind you as your frown grew. âoh come on al, donât be mean. sheâs so cute!â paula cooed, patting the bed encouragingly for you to join them, alba sending her a look and shoving her.
âtĂș crees? try living with her. out fresa, ahora!â alba pointed again as you stopped midway in the room, shoulders sagging. âplease alba please!â you asked again, clasping your hands together and looking up at her pleadingly.
âno demonio. go!â alba shook her head again, finger still pointing toward the exit, ignoring her cousin nudging her with a concerned look. âhey mami said you had to stop calling me names!â you reminded, pointing right back up at her as her eyes rolled.Â
âÂżah, sĂ? well go tell her then! snitch.â your sister mocked as you huffed. âyou shouldnât be mean alba. santa is watching!â you warned sternly moving to jut your hip out and doing your best to look down your nose at her, the older girl only snickering.
âoh santa is, is he? heâs not even-â though she was cut off with a sharp pinch to her arm, your cousin glaring daggers and muttering something you couldnât hear as your sister huffed but gave a small nod, not finishing whatever it was she was about to say.
âcan i just sit on my bed? i will be quiet, promise!â you begged again, only met with a shake of her head. âvamos alba, she is not hurting anyone. do you want to watch a movie with us pequeña?â your cousin offered with a kind smile as you nodded happily.
âno, out.â alba shut that down quickly with a firm shake of her head. âi could read a book and be very very quiet. please alba?â you pleaded, trying to puppy dog eyes which admittedly often worked better on your eldest sister but were worth a try.
âyou do not even know how to read fresa.â your sister taunted with a grin as your eyebrows scrunched together. âcan too! you know i can, cause you always-â you began to protest, alba often the one who helped you with your homework given she was much better at being patient than eli or alexia.
âout diablillo, now!â you were cut off, alba standing from the bed and glaring at you in a final warning as you deflated, kicking at a loose scuff of carpet on the floor.Â
âplease? everybody else is too busy for me.â you mumbled quietly, though before you could even look up there was hands under your arms and you were lifted off the ground, legs swinging as alba marched you toward the door, dropping you down just outside.
âit is not my fault nobody wants you around fresa, now stay out! or you can sleep in the backyard and freeze to death.â and with that once again the door was slammed in your face, a swift click sounding indicating it was locked as you deflated again, albaâs words echoing loudly in your head.
your sister of course hadnât meant what she said, it had spewed from her mouth fueled by the burn of by being isolated at dinner. sheâd just wanted to spend some one on one time with paula who actually cared what she was up to and how things were for her, but of course you had to come along, the baby, and take away that attention she craved.
âmami?â you tugged on her pants, the older woman running a hand over your hair and gently pushing you away. âmami!â you tried again, poking her leg as she paused what she was saying and glanced down at you with raised eyebrows.
âi need a bath.â you reminded, not sure what the time actually was but knowing your normal routine was usually a bath after dinner, and with alexia not around to do it the only other choice was eli.Â
âoye you are nearly six now fresa, no? a big girl! you can do that.â one of your tĂas smiled encouragingly, patting you on the head and nodding off toward where the bathroom was.Â
âi canât run the water. iâm not allowed!â you responded matter of factly, the last time youâd tried you poured in an entire bottle of bubble bath and flooded the bathroom. âgo ask your hermana please nena, and i will come and say goodnight later. promesa!â your mami encouraged, patting your butt and with a tap on your back you were wandering out of the kitchen, covering your ears again at the yelling and screaming going on in the living room.
it was overwhelming and loud, and then all of a sudden you began to feel funny.Â
your face felt hot, your neck felt itchy, your head felt like it was filled with cotton and your ears were ringing like when alexia sometimes put her headphones on you and played the music too loud. your stomach felt weird, you could feel a strange heat in your chest like when you drank hot chocolate too fast, and you didnât like any of it, not one bit.
it didnât feel like christmas, not your christmas, the christmas you were used to. your papi wasnât here to put on silly voices as he sang christmas songs, alexia wasnât here to put you on her shoulders so you could put the star on the tree, your mami wasnât around to make cookies, alba didnât even want to be in the same room as you.
your sisters words might not have been meant but you were feeling them right now, she had been right, nobody did want you around, so youâd go and find someone who would.
now with a house crammed full of noisy spaniards it was easy enough to go undetected, to slip on your shoes and tuck the laces in because you forgot how to tie them and no one was there to remind you.
nobody paid any attention when you climbed up precariously on the hallway table to pull down your puffiest winter coat which hung by the door, or to pull on the beanie that alexia made sure was always kept in your coat pocket because you always seemed to lose it.
nobody noticed when you stretched up and opened the front door which had been left unlocked, stepping out into the evening where the sun was almost gone beneath the trees, the street lights not quite turned on yet.
no one heard the front door close or watched you jump down the front steps in twoâs like you were always told off for, picking at the grass in the front yard before you heard a strange noise and your head snapped up.
your once downtrodden look perked up seeing it was your neighbours cat, who spent most of his time outside hunting birds but had been known to pop up at your window, snuck inside for some food until someone realised and shooed him off home.
so clicking your tongue at him in greeting like you had before you were surprised when it seemed to startle him, causing him to dash away as you huffed and gave chase.
âyou get back here!â you called as if he would understand, too focused on the four legged feline to notice when heâd finally stopped it was in the middle of the road.
preoccupied with someone giving you attention you squatted down and stroked a finger up and down his back softly, smiling happily when he purred and rubbed against your leg.
it had all happened so fast, if you blinked you might have missed it.
a car came hurtling around the corner, easily going ten or fifteen over the speed limit which wasnât uncommon in the fairly quiet street you lived on this time of year, everyone seemingly in a rush.
you only looked up when you heard a loud honk, the cat sprinting away and you knew you should too but your body locked up with fear, headlights blinding you and not sure which way to run if your legs would have allowed it.
luckily the vehicle came to a screaming halt, brakes whistling at the effort and doors flinging open as two strangers came hurrying out. you could see their mouths moving, but your ears were still ringing from the noise of the brakes and the horn, eyes now welling up with tears.
the lady smacked the man beside her on the arm, shushing the way he was yelling at you and warning heâd been going too fast anyway and everyone was lucky heâd just had enough time to stop.
trembling with a mix of adrenaline and fear you went limp as the woman picked you up, bouncing you in what was supposed to be a calming manner and again sharply warning the man that yelling at you wasnât going to solve anything.
you sniffled and pointed across the road to your house when she asked where youâd come from, the man following after her still yelling despite her warnings as the pair of them made their way up the front steps, the woman pushing the doorbell and gently placing you back down on your feet.
it was one of your cousins who answered, smile dropping immediately from his face as he noticed yours stained with tears, shouting out several times for eli as the mans yelling brought a whole other handful of family members racing to the front door.
then suddenly as the man continued his very angry shouting, this time about what had happened and how could you be so careless to play in the road, the woman questioning your apparent lack of supervision given your young age, chaos erupted.Â
you slapped your hands over your ears as two of your tĂos stepped forward, toe to toe with the driver and yelling right back at him, everyone beginning to argue about how this happened, no one even noticed when you scurried off to find somewhere quiet, sick of your ears ringing and your eyes hurting and the weird feeling like youâd been punched in the stomach.
then right as things were beginning to calm, the woman sending the man back to the car and your tĂos ordered back to the living room in an attempt to diffuse the situation, a car pulled up in the driveway and eli swore under her breath as she knew right away whose it was.
within seconds flat, her car still left running alexia appeared by the front door, putting herself inbetween the woman and her mami with a hardened stare. â-all i am saying is the niña was very very lucky not to be hit. she needs to be careful this time of the year, and play in her yard not the road!â the woman warned sharply before turning on heel and walking away down the front steps, alexiaâs head whipping around to look wide eyed in shock.
âquĂ© diablos ha pasado?â your eldest sister asked, eyes darting between the multiple women gathered in the doorway. âdĂmelo!â alexia demanded, stepping inside as the front door closed, a very uncomfortable and awkward silence echoing through the once boisterous and noisy home.
âfresa was almost hit by a car.â eli answered quietly, barely able to get the words out still stunned near speechless, the possibilities of if the car hadnât stopped swirling around in her head.Â
âwhat? mami where is she? where is she?â alexia shouted, terror written all over her face as guilt set itself into eliâs realising youâd clearly run off without again anyone noticing.Â
âi-i do not know. fresa? fresa!â eli called out, calls of your name ringing out as everyone began searching frantically, your cousins falling over one another to check outside as the door thumped shut.
âhow could you let this happen? how!â your eldest sister shouted angrily, albaâs door opening as she stepped out, confusion written on her and paulaâs faces seeing everyone rushing around yelling for you.
âwhy werenât you watching her alba! why!â clearing the gap between them in seconds alexia had her younger sisters jumper balled up in her fists, screaming in her face as bodies rushed in to pull them apart.
with a scoff alexia took off, checking in each room and shouting out your name, only pausing for a moment when she noticed a very familiar beanie balled up in the corner of her room.
âfresa? fresita? are you in here?â alexia called out hopefully, hearing a rustle and with two knocks she was sprinting to her closet, sliding open the door right as a tiny body barreled into her legs, knocking her to the ground as you clung onto her for dear life.
âaye dios mĂo.â alexia breathed out in relief, sitting up and pulling you into her, your face buried in her shoulder as your little body shook with sobs which were muffled by the thick material of her jacket.
âits okay pequeña its okay. youâre okay now, youâre okay.â alexia chanted over and over, mainly to relieve herself of her own worries as she squeezed you tightly, kissing your head repeatedly as you shook and cried in her hold, hands tightly fisting the soft material of her sweater.
âfresa! you-â the moment alba burst in alexiaâs head shot up, hand on the back of your neck protectively as she hissed venomously for the younger girl to get out, though it was with words youâd normally remind meant she needed to put money into the curse jar sat on the kitchen bench.
as alba backed away, tears welled up in her eyes and guilt weighing heavily on her shoulders, eli was fast to usher the rest of the family toward the front door, knowing all of this fuss and rush was only going to make things worse as no one even tried to argue, planning to stay elsewhere for the evening.
alexia wasnât sure how long she sat there holding you tightly, mumbling the same words over and over in an attempt to soothe the pair of you, but no one dared to open her door again after the way sheâd snapped.
âyou left me! you promised and you left!â you pulled your head back and accused with a broken sob, alexia wincing and holding you tighter as you fought for her to let you go. âlet go alexia! let go!â you demanded among your cries, her head shaking and your body pulled even tighter into hers until eventually you gave up, crumpling and clinging onto her again as you sobbed and sobbed.
finally, with your eyes puffy and head pounding your sobs turned to sniffles, alexia not even paying any mind to the way you wiped your nose against her shoulder. her thumb softly wiped away a few stray tears as you sat limp in her lap, sagged against her and hands clinging on tightly to the stretched and faded material of her sweater.
âwhy were you in the road fresa? why! you know better than that.â alexia asked desperately, shaking you a little and tugging you around so you were facing her, unhooking your fingers which quickly grabbed onto the edges of her coat as if she could disappear at a moments notice.
âi was just following henry! he wanted me around, nobody else did.â you mumbled, bottom lip still trembling as your sister frowned. âwhat do you mean nobody else did fres?â her tone softened, eyebrows creased with concern.Â
âmami was busy. everyone was yelling and watching football. alba didnât want me, she said nobody wanted me around. nobody would play with me or let me help, not even with the tree! and you told me to go away and go bother someone else!â you choked out, tears welling up in your eyes again.
âoh hermana. no no i didnât- i didnât mean to but-â but you didnât let her finish, pushing up off of her and running off before she could grab at you. âeveryone says i get in the way! i donât fit.â you sobbed out at her after youâd pulled open her door, racing out and crashing into something hard.
but you softened once you realised who it was, arms up and scooped immediately into your mamiâs embrace, body wracked with sobs again as her hand rubbed up and down your back âshhh you fit mija, you fit right here.â your mami murmured firmly, eyes squeezed closed before she moved to take a seat on the couch as you curled up into her.
it was around an hour later when finally youâd settled again, everyone fussing over you and apologising and arguing about who got to do what. but now bathed and wrapped in fluffy christmas pyjamas all you wanted was everyone to be together, the only thing youâd wanted this whole day.
so when asked what it was you needed right now, you answered just that, eli sending off her two eldest to make hot chocolate, refusing to let you out of her sight even for a second as the pair of you looked through which movie to watch despite the fact it was long past when youâd normally go to bed.
meanwhile there was a frosty silence in the kitchen, alexia refusing to even look at alba who was so wracked with guilt sheâd barely looked up from the floor. âwhy?â she looked up at that, finding alexiaâs eyes now baring into her.
âwhy?â âsĂ. why alba? why would you tell her no one wanted her around? she is a baby!â alexia hissed quietly as the younger girls gaze dropped again. âi didnât mean it.â she mumbled somewhat pathetically as she measured out the coco powder and alexia scoffed.
âoh sĂ because a five year old is going to know that, tonta!â alexia shoved her, taking over the hot chocolates as a new emotion filled the younger girl. âwell she gets more attention than me! so do you even when you are not here you are the centre of attention!â alba bit, fists balled by her side as alexia looked at her incredulously.Â
âwhat?â âit is always oh fresita is so cute, fresa got a new tooth, fresa got a gold star, how adorable is the baby!â alba cooed sarcastically, words bubbling up and out that had festered there for too long.
âand you! everyone talks about you and asks about you and goes on and on about alexia putellas the next big football superestrella, saviour of barcelona and hero of españa!â alba waved her hands about with each word as her older sister watched on with a frown.
âbut no one ever asks me how i am, or how my school is, or about my achievements, how anything is! mami skips my parent teacher interviews to go to fresaâs, is at your games every weekend, i got a high distinction on a test and all mami did was move it underneath one of fresaâs drawing, she didnât even see it. i feel invisible alexia! and-â but her words were cut short, the taller girl pulling her into a tight hug.
âyou are not invisible hermana. i see you, and i love you, we all do. this family would not be right without you, i am so sorry we have not shown that.â alexia promised, alba giving in and hugging her back, more apologies exchanged between the two, falling silent in their tight embrace.Â
until the patter of feet and your voice broke them apart. âdo you need help?â you asked with a small frown of concern, the two having been making the hot chocolates for a strangely long time as you were growing a little impatient.
âsĂ! we need our special marshmallow helper.â alba confirmed, nodding at alexia who slid her the packet with a smile. ânobody puts them in like you fresa. perfect hot chocolate needs perfect marshmallows.â alexia affirmed with a nod, lifting you up onto the counter, softening at the way your face lit up.
very carefully you placed three marshmallows into each cup, no pink for alexia, all pink for you, and a mix for alba and your mami, just the way everyone liked it.
with a hot chocolate in hand and squished on the couch between everyone, it was far from the perfectly normal christmas you were promised, but things finally started to feel okay.

PAIRING ~ bf!nrk x gf!reader
SUMMARY ~ when you visit your boyfriend to spend time with him, he downright ignores you and continues gaming leading to a grumpy play fight which soon escalates into something not so playful.
GENRE ~ fluff, suggestive.
WORD COUNT ~ 1.485k
áŻâ
i had fun writing this ngl.
when you giddily turned the doorknob to riki's bedroom in his dorm apartment, your face rotted into one of disbelief. the room was dark, except for the large, obnoxiously bright tv screen near one wall of the room, with riki sitting across to it on a small black leather couch, a warm lamp lit on his side. he had a pair of gaming headphones snug on his head, one which had a mic to convey his less than clean exclamations of frustration at his teammates. there was a controller in his dexterous hands, his tongue darting out ever so often and teeth sunk into his plump bottom lip in focus. he didn't seem to have noticed you were even there, and to make things worse, he wore just a thin black tee and basketball shorts. it was a simple outfit, yet effective in driving you crazy in all the right ways.
you sighed and rolled your eyes. damn it. if you didn't know any better, he had probably spent all day glued to his couch, and it was probably going to remain that way unless you did something. you rid yourself of your puffer jacket, clearing your throat as you neatly folded it in an attempt to get him to at least acknowledge your arrival. but of course, your attempts were in vain.Â
you knew for a fact that he wasn't utterly unaware of your entrance, given how the corner of his lips tugged up into the tiniest ghost of a smirk. he was playing a game you were familiar with. he sensed you walking closer to where the couch was, but paid it no mind, the yelling and screaming of his other online gaming teammates ringing out through the air along with his own voice. it was only once you were standing between the couch and tv, arms on your hips, that he craned his neck up to look at you, a smug expression forming on his face. you narrowed your eyes into a glare, tapping your foot on the ground, waiting for him to take his darned headphones. he chuckled lowly, continuing to game by peaking over your shoulder for a few more seconds out of thorough enjoyment of watching you stew and grow impatient. but, he knew he should set a limit to his teasing. he took off his headphones and leaned forward to set them, along with his controller down on the coffee table in front of him. "something wrong?" he teased, his tone all too playful for your liking. âoh, donât give me that. and quit smiling.â you almost immediately responded, crossing your arms over your chest. âitâs cold as balls outside, but i still came to see you. you didnât even look my way!â you scolded, but it came off more as whining to your boyfriend.Â
he held his hands up in mock surrender, a small smirk still tugged at his lips at your pouty expression. he had to admit, you were pretty cute when you were mad. "i'm sorry, i'm sorry." he chuckled again, patting the empty space next to him on the couch. "come, sit. i'll make it up to you, yeah?"
you felt your irritation slowly but surely subside, but kept your expression indifferent. with a petulant âhmph!â, you looked at the spot riki patted at, and then at riki. you dodged the edge of the coffee table by the couch, deciding to climb up onto rikiâs lap, straddling his thighs instead.
he could only shake his head fondly, his soft and deep laughter ringing in your ears. he was more than happy to indulge you. he leaned back against the cushions of the couch, gaze never leaving yours as one hand found a place at the small of your back.
âpay attention to me.â you whined, rather demanded, nudging your scrunched nose with rikiâs. he chuckled to himself and hummed playfully, landing a gentle pinch on your hip and watching your reaction with sheer amusement. your demand earned a huff from him before he replied, "you're literally sitting in my lap right now, baby. how much more attention do you want?" âi don't know, i donât care..â, you continued, wrapping your arms around his torso in a firm grip and burying your face into your neck. as much as you tried to act bratty and annoyed, you couldn't deny how flustered amused smirks made you feel.
he wrapped his arms around your waist in response, keeping you firmly against him, your small form pressed up against his much larger frame. your neediness was only driving his smirk to widen. "needy baby." he teased, one hand finding your hair and gently running his fingers through it. a frown of irritation formed yet again at his little tease. you further dug your face into the crook of his neck, your mind working overtime on how to reply. when you couldnât, you decided to land a bite on his neck as âpunishmentâ. he let out a slight huff in surprise at the feeling of your teeth against his skin, his grip around your waist tightening somewhat as he did. "little brat." he muttered under his breath, lightly tugging on a few strands of your hair as a 'punishment' of his own. âoww..â you pouted, dramatically massaging the spot on my scalp. you pulled your face out of the crook of his neck, announcing your irritation with a frowny face. apart from irritation, there was a certain flare of competitiveness in your eyes. oh, it was so on. the pads of your fingers and palm made contact with rikiâs chest as you landed a slap on it in return.
"hey-" he cut himself off with a scoff when you slapped his chest, the expression on his face growing into a smirk once more. he knew all too well about your playful tendencies, and his competitive nature was beginning to be triggered now. without a word, he suddenly hooked one arm leg under your thighs, the other near your waist and lifted you up. with a few long strides, he carried you to his bed before you could even process what was happening, unceremoniously dropping you onto his bed. your eyes widened, and before you could even try shouting at him or wriggling out of his hold, you landed on the black duvet covering his twin bed with a bounce. dumbfounded, you exclaimed, âdid you just body slam me, riki?!â he chuckled as he crawled onto the bed between your legs, hovering over you on all fours. his smirk grew as he watched you pout up at him, clearly not too happy about the way you had landed on the bed. "i guess you could say that. did you like it?" he asked in a teasing tone, one of his hands going to tease under your shirt. âi- wha-â butterflies. god, butterflies had likely colonised your stomach over his stupid smirks and how he could easily manhandle you into doing essentially anything. but, you knew better than to give him the satisfaction of seeing how flustered you were. you concealed your feelings with a grumpy pout and maybe just a little genuine embarrassment of your own lack of strength. âyou canât just do that!â he chuckled yet again, his hand still exploring your exposed skin under your shirt, slowly making its way up to your ribs, right under the lacy edge of your bra as he continued to look down at you. your bratty behavior amused him, and he was always fond of how easy it was for him to tease you. "i just did, baby. it's fucking adorable how easy it was to." he cooed, his hot breath fanning against your neck, his nose nuzzled into its subtly fragranced skin. if you were standing right now, you were certain your knees would've given out. there was something so attractive about riki's confidence, not to mention his little cuss, that it turned you on in ways almost embarrassing. you shakily exhaled and frowned in slight offense, realizing you were a gone case if you stayed there any longer. stuck under some of the weight of his larger, muscular frame, you began squirming and wriggling in hopes to coax yourself out of his grip. he simply scoffed and grinned at your efforts to escape from under him and used the hand not snuck up your shirt to pin both your wrists over your head. he now pressed his lips against the side of your neck, planting a few gentle kisses before speaking again. "stop squirming." he whispered next to your ear before nipping at the lobe. you felt your face heat up, a tingle between your legs now undeniable. you bit the insides of your cheeks and let out a silent shaky exhale. you continued squirming under him, now using a tactic of pity to get away from the situation. âlet me go, youâre heavy...â he lifted his head from your neck to flash you a wolfish grin, using his knees to spread your legs apart. the next thing you knew was his very evident erection pressed right by your thigh, and his hot, deep whisper right by your lips, ânah.â (reblog and comment for part 2 ya filthy whores đđ)

adorably mine! | l.hs
pairing: idol husband!heeseung x wife!reader
synopsis: heeseungâs been acting weirdly clingy lately, and it doesnât take long to figure out whyâheâs jealous. all because of one little comment about jungwon being cute. now youâre stuck dealing with a sulky, dramatic husband who wonât stop clinging to you.
warning: heeseung is in enhypen (no duh), mention of jungwon (idk if that needs a warning lmaoaoao), teeth-rotting fluff!, heeseung is superrrrrrr clingyyy and jealous and pouty and itâs sooo cute!!!
wc: 949
the way heeseung had been acting lately was enough to both frustrate you and make your heart swell at the same time. as much as you loved your affectionate, doting husband, his clinginess over the past few days had reached new heightsâones that were starting to seriously test your patience.
it had all started so innocently. a casual comment made during an outing with the rest of enhypen. you hadnât even thought twice about it when you remarked how cute jungwon looked while practicing. after all, everyone knew you had a soft spot for adorable things, be it puppies, plushies, or jungwonâs leader energy.
but apparently, heeseung didnât share your casual outlook.
the very moment the words left your lips, you noticed his head snap up, his usually soft brown eyes narrowing slightly as he stared at you. his lips had formed into the smallest pout, but youâd waved it off as a fleeting moment of jealousy.
if only youâd known what was coming.
đđ§žàŸàœČ
it started with little things. like the way heeseung would suddenly hold your hand tighter whenever jungwon was around. or how heâd lean in closer than usual during conversations, as if he was trying to drown out the presence of anyone else. then, it escalated.
youâd never seen him quite like this.
âbaby, can you please let go?â you asked, a mix of exasperation and fondness in your tone as you struggled to fold laundry. heeseungâs arms were snugly wrapped around your waist from behind, his chin resting heavily on your shoulder.
âno,â he murmured, voice low and firm as if his very life depended on staying glued to you. his breath tickled your neck as he pressed himself closer, and his grip tightened slightly. âi like it here.â
you sighed, your movements slowing as you turned your head slightly to glance at him. heeseungâs brown eyes met yours, wide and pleading, a spark of insecurity flickering in them that made your heart clench.
âare you seriously still hung up about what i said the other day?â you asked, voice softening.
he didnât answer, but the way he pursed his lips said enough.
âbaby,â you tried again, your tone half-scolding, half-affectionate. âi call everything cute. youâve known me long enough to know that it doesnât mean anything.â
âyeah, butâŠâ he trailed off, his voice barely above a whisper. âyou donât call me cute anymore.â
your heart practically broke at his words.
âoh, hee,â you cooed, gently prying his arms from your waist so you could turn and face him. âis that what this is about?â
heeseung shrugged, his pout deepening. his eyes dropped to the floor as he shuffled awkwardly, his bottom lip jutting out ever so slightly.
âitâs not fair,â he muttered under his breath, glancing at you from under his lashes. âyouâre my wife. youâre supposed to think iâm the cutest.â
you bit back a laugh, not wanting to hurt his already fragile ego. instead, you cupped his face in your hands, forcing him to look at you. his cheeks were tinged with a faint pink, and he looked more like a sulky child than the confident, charismatic performer the world knew him to be.
âlee heeseung,â you said firmly, though your lips twitched with a smile. âyou are, without a doubt, the cutest man iâve ever met. no oneâand i mean no oneâeven comes close.â
ânot even jungwon?â he asked, his tone still holding a hint of jealousy.
ânot even jungwon,â you promised, leaning in to press a kiss to his nose.
heeseungâs pout wavered, and you could tell he was trying hard not to smile. but then, as if he couldnât help himself, he blurted out, âsay it again.â
you blinked. âwhat?â
âthat iâm cute,â he mumbled, his ears turning red.
you couldnât hold back your laughter this time, your heart swelling with affection for the man in front of you. âhee, youâre adorable. the cutest. the most precious. no one else even compares, okay?â
finally, his pout disappeared, replaced by a shy, satisfied grin. he leaned into your touch, his arms winding around your waist once more as he pulled you into his lap.
âyou really mean it?â he asked, burying his face in the crook of your neck.
âof course, i mean it,â you replied, your fingers threading through his soft hair.
heeseung let out a contented sigh, his lips brushing lightly against your collarbone. but just as you thought heâd finally calmed down, you couldnât resist one last tease.
âthough, now that i think about it, jungwon is pretty cuteâŠâ
heeseung pulled back so fast you almost lost your balance.
âbaby!â he whined, his cheeks puffing out in frustration. âstop saying that!â
you burst into laughter, wrapping your arms around his neck to pull him back to you. âiâm kidding, hee. youâre the only guy iâll ever want. no one else even stands a chance.â
he narrowed his eyes at you suspiciously, but the way he melted back into your embrace betrayed his resolve. âyouâre so mean,â he muttered, though there was no heat in his words.
âand youâre so dramatic,â you shot back, pressing a kiss to his temple.
heeseung only hummed, a quiet, pleased sound that made your heart flutter. his hold on you tightened, as if he never wanted to let go, and you knew in that moment that you wouldnât have it any other way.
âi love you,â he murmured, his voice soft and genuine.
âi love you too,â you replied, resting your forehead against his.
and even though heâd surely find another reason to pout tomorrow, you knew youâd always have the upper handâbecause heeseung was hopelessly, completely, head-over-heels in love with you.

"Ugh," you groaned, letting your face fall into your hands. You figured it was better than hitting your head against the table in the hopes that your situation would suddenly change. Â
"What's wrong?" Ororo asked, studying you across the break room table. Â
âMy whole life,â you grumbled, knowing you were being childish, but glad that none of your students were around to see it. Â
You had managed to get a brief moment of respite from the teenagers roaming the halls of the X-Mansion by retreating to the makeshift teacher's lounge located in a room tucked away near the kitchen. All of you had worked to make it your own space. Â
Hank had lugged in a refrigerator and at some point a microwave had shown up on someone's repurposed nightstand. Charles had offered to pay for whatever the staff might have wanted, but all of you seemed to want to fill the room with personal touches and effects. So, someone had dragged in an old table that must have been stored in the attic and other people stole desk chairs from unoccupied rooms. Over time, a coffeemaker had been added along with a small cabinet full of snacks. There were also photos along the wall, candid and professional shots of the staff. Â
Your favorite was a group shot where most of you were making a goofy face. Your eyes were always drawn to Remy doing bunny ears behind Loganâs head and Logan in the middle of snarling at Remy to cut it out, but there was just the tiniest bit of a grin peeking at the edges of Loganâs mouth. Â
He swore he hated you all, but you knew better. He was part of the family and there was a reason he had stuck around despite his own protests. Â
The lounge was one of your favorite places to be and it was even better when you were joined by your fellow teachers and friends. It was a bonus perk knowing that none of the kids were allowed. You loved teaching and you loved all the bright, young students taking up residence in the mansion, but it was nice to get a break from time to time. Â
Especially when you needed a safe place to vent your frustrations about every wrong turn your life seemed to take. Â
âNo, really, whatâs wrong?â Ororo asked again. Â
"My parents," you sighed, sliding the invitation you received earlier that morning across the table so she could read it. Â
"What's the big deal, sugar?" Rogue wondered, leaning over Ororoâs shoulder so she could read the paper as well. "Sounds like a good time."Â
"Every year, it's always the same," you explained, reaching out to grab the invitation when Ororo handed it back. "My parents invite me to their Christmas party and I go because I love them, but I end up having a miserable time."Â
"If it's so miserable, why bother going?" Logan asked from where he was leaning up against the table that held the coffeemaker and microwave. He was sipping a beer and looked relaxed in a white t-shirt and grey sweatpants. You had a fleeting thought that Logan looked really good and you hoped Charles or Jean hadn't managed to catch that. Â
Charles had only grown more meddlesome in his old age and you certainly didnât need him trying to set you up with Logan. And Logan had been infatuated with Jean for as long as you had known him. You really didnât cherish the idea of her knowing she had something you desperately wanted. Â
"It's complicated," you tried, but rolled your eyes when Logan simply arched a brow at you, unimpressed with your attempt at deflection. "My parents aren't so fond of mutants," you finally conceded, unsurprised at Logan's snort and shake of his head. Â
"I might be missing something here, but you're a mutant, aren't you?" Remy asked as he dropped down into the chair at Rogue's side. He let his arm stretch across the back of her chair and you noticed the way she leaned into him, careful not to let her skin brush against him. Â
You hadn't noticed Remy enter the room, since you had been so focused on Logan. You shrugged your shoulders, staring morosely at the rest of your sandwich. "Yeah," you sighed, meeting Remy's gaze. "They love me. They do," you insisted at Remy's incredulous look. "But they want me to be normal. I only see them a couple times a year, since I'm usually here with the X-Men, and every year at Christmas, without fail, I show up without a date like an idiot. And then my parents try to set me up with some normal human guy as if that will make me somehow more acceptable to them."Â
"That sure sounds a lot like conditional love, sugar," Rogue mused, quirking an eyebrow at you. "Why don't you just skip out on the party this year? Save yourself the hassle?"Â
"Because as much as they've royally fucked me up with all their anti-mutant bullshit, I still love them. I can't help it. So, if I have to suffer through another year of trying to ward off some random jackass' advances while my parents stand there smiling as if they can't see how uncomfortable I am? Then I'll deal with the torture if I can make them happy for a few minutes."Â
Silence invaded the room and you suddenly got the sense that every person in the room was staring at you. You didn't realize until you said it out loud just how fucked up your situation with your parents really was, but you were so deep into it that you didn't know if you'd ever be able to claw your way free. Â
"Well," Ororo started, leaning forward across the table and placing a hand on your arm, as if trying to offer you comfort. "If you want them to stop meddling, then show up with a date. Break the cycle."Â
"But that's the problem," you protested, crossing your arms over your chest. "I'm not dating anyone, so I don't have a date."Â
"Well, it's not like it's got to be a real one, darling. Why I'm sure Remy would love to go with you. Your parents will sure get a kick out of him," Rogue offered, reaching out to settle a gloved hand on Remy's shoulder. Â
Remy offered you a smirk before holding out his hand with his palm turned up. You furrowed your brow as you rested your hand in his and laughed when he pulled your hand close and kissed it. Â
"It would be my pleasure," he vowed with a wink. Â
You glanced from Remy to Rogue and then back again, realizing they were completely serious. You knew your parents would flip when they met Remy. He was charming, but chaotic, and sure to piss your parents off. If his red, glowing eyes didn't give away that he was a mutant, then you were sure it would only be a matter of time before he blew something up. Â
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad showing up with a date. Remy was your friend and you knew that he would do whatever it took to make sure you weren't cornered by some asshole who had been misled by your parents into thinking you were on the market. You felt safe with Remy and maybe for once you might actually enjoy one of your parent's Christmas parties. Â
"Alright," you decided, nodding your head as you drew you hand back. "Yeah, that sounds like--"Â
"I'll do it," Logan interrupted, startling you. Â
You had completely forgotten he was practically standing right behind you. You turned in your chair to look at him. You were surprised to see him studying you, expression intent. Â
"What?" You blurted, sure that you had misheard Logan. Â
"I'll be your date," Logan offered before casually raising his beer and taking a sip, as if he hadn't sent your heart into a frenzy. Â
"You don't have to," you assured him, not sure how you would be able to handle Logan as a date to your parent's Christmas party. It wasn't that you didn't want to go with Logan, because you absolutely did. The problem was that you had had a pathetic crush on him the moment you first laid eyes on him, but Logan was notoriously head over heels for Jean.Â
Even though she was married to Scott, you had heard time and again from practically every person on the X-Men that Logan had been in love with her from the first moment he met her. So, you wouldn't be able to handle a fake date with Logan, because you would spend the whole time desperately wishing that it was real. Â
"I want to," Logan insisted, finally standing up out of his slouch against the table that had been converted into a coffee bar. He rolled his shoulders, like he was preparing for a fight, and you wondered why he was being so adamant about being your date. Â
"That's sweet of you, Logan, but Remy already offered, and--," you tried before you were cut off by Logan again. Â
"I'll do it," Logan stressed, a hint of a growl in his voice as he stared down Remy like he was challenging him to something. Â
You glanced from Logan to Remy to Logan again. Â
"What the hell is going on," you muttered, shooting a bewildered look at Ororo and Rogue to see if they were as confused as you were. Â
Rogue looked amused and Ororo was watching Logan with an arched brow. But neither one seemed to be questioning the events that were playing out before them. Â
After what seemed like hours of intense eye contact between the two, Remy finally held up his hands in surrender. He shot you a wink, ignoring Logan's grunt of protest. Â
"I'm sure our Logan will do a fine job playing your paramour," Remy added, reaching out to run his fingers along your arm. "But if it doesn't work out, you know where to find me."Â
Logan grumbled something under his breath before he strode over. He snatched the invitation off the table, succeeding in separating you and Remy, before he skimmed over the page. Â
"How long will it take to get there?" Logan asked, glancing down at you. Â
"It's about a three-hour drive from here," you told him, trying not to focus too much on the fact that Logan was so close to you that you could feel the heat radiating off his body. The fabric of his sweatpants was dangerously close to brushing against your arm and you had to force yourself to stay absolutely still, because you weren't even sure what you would do if you allowed yourself to move. Â
"Be ready to leave by four tomorrow, then," Logan ordered before he placed his empty bottle of beer on the table between you and Remy and left the room. Â
You stared at the door for a moment before finally turning your gaze on the three people patiently waiting for you to break free of your stupor. Â
"What the hell just happened?" You wondered, still trying to catch up. Â
"What happened," Remy started, leaning back in his seat and placing his arm along the back of Rogue's chair again, "my beautiful, clueless friend, is that Ororo here owes me twenty dollars."Â
"What," you muttered, watching helplessly as Ororo handed Remy the money she evidently owed him. Â
"It was only a matter of time," Remy continued, tucking the money away in his pocket. "Logan's wanted you for years."Â
You scoffed, ready to deny it, but shut up at Ororo's eye roll. Â
"I thought he would never make a move, but Remy had far more faith in Logan than I did."Â
"A move? What move? There wasn't a move," you insisted. Â
"Swooping in and stealing you away from a fake date with my Remy? That was a move," Rogue assured you, grinning at you. "It was only a matter of time. Everyone knows about Logan's feelings except for you."Â Â Â
"There are no feelings, because he's been pining for Jean for years," you reminded them. You stood up, grabbing the invitation off the table, and fixed them all with a determined look. "You're all wrong, you know that? Nothing's going to happen between Logan and me," you told them before leaving the room. Â
You clutched the paper in your hands and tried to ignore the fact that you really, really wanted something to happen between you and Logan. Â
The next afternoon, you were nearly done getting dressed when someone knocked on your door. You glanced at the clock, realizing it was nearly four, and rushed to pull on your jacket as you walked to the door. Â
You opened the door and stood, stunned, at the sight of Logan dressed in a dark t-shirt, jeans, and a leather jacket. This was as close to dressed up as Logan got and you didn't get why he was going to all the effort just for you or your mutant-hating parents. Â
"Did you shave?" You blurted, noting that his usual scruff was a little more contained than usual. Â
Logan shrugged his shoulders, stepping to the side and gesturing for you to lead the way. You narrowed your eyes at him as you passed him, making for the front door of the mansion. Logan reached out and stopped you with a hand on your elbow, steering you towards the garage instead. Â
"Are we taking your bike?" Temperatures were quickly dropping outside and you didn't exactly want to freeze your ass off even if you would be pressed up against Logan. Â
"Nope," Logan answered, not bothering to clarify until he was standing right beside Scott's car. Â
"Are we stealing Summers' car?"Â Â
Logan held up the keys, flashing you a quick grin. "Asked for permission this time," he informed you before rounding the car and pulling open the passenger side door. He stood there, watching you expectantly, before you finally forced yourself to move. Â
"Thanks," you told him, gifting him with a smile, before settling into the passenger seat. Â
Logan gently closed the door for you before moving towards the driver's side. It wasn't long before he was pulling the car out of the garage as you put your parent's address into the navigation system. Christmas music faintly played, filling the silence between you, and you kept shooting nervous looks over at Logan. His shoulders were tense and his hands periodically clenched the steering wheel tight. You couldnât tell if he was regretting his decision or feeling just as anxious as you were. Â
The silence began to feel excruciatingly awkward, but you didn't know how to fill it. You spent so long staring resolutely out the window that you didn't even notice when you began to drift off, your head lolling back against the headrest as your eyes closed. Â
"Y/N," Logan called, his hand on your shoulder cautiously shaking you awake. Â
"What?" You grumbled, reluctantly opening your eyes and squinting over at him. Â
Logan looked enraptured, a soft smile on his face as he studied you. Â
"We're here," he told you, prompting you to look out the windshield to the sight of your parent's home. Logan had parked the car in the long, winding driveway. There were already several cars parked along the side of it, which only made the driveway seem longer. "So, your family's loaded, huh?"Â
"Yeah," you groaned with a grimace. "Why do you think they keep trying to marry me off to all their rich friend's sons? They want their legacy to continue or whatever bullshit goes on in their heads."Â
"Damn," Logan sighed, shaking his head. "Good thing you won't have to worry about that this year, huh?"Â Â
You nodded your head, finally making yourself look at Logan again. You reached out, tentative, and placed your hand on his arm. "Logan?"Â
"Yeah?" He asked, staring down at your hand before turning slightly in his seat to face you. Â
"Thanks," you said, pulling your hand away when you realized you had been touching him for way too long to be normal. "For doing this," you clarified, ignoring the way your cheeks flushed at his attention. "You really didn't have to, you know."Â
Logan stared at you for one drawn-out intense moment and you fought the urge to look away. You inanely felt like you were in a predator's sights, which was stupid because Logan would never hurt you, but you still felt like you were being hunted.Â
"Yeah, I did," he finally responded, his gaze lingering on you before he glanced away. Â
Before you could question him, Logan got out of the car. You stared at the closed driver's side door for a moment before you took a deep breath and opened the passenger door. Logan met you just as you were getting out and he closed the car door for you.  Â
He held out his arm and you linked yours with his as you headed up towards the house. You had to stop yourself from swaying into Logan's side. There was a feeling rising within you that you weren't sure how to contain. It was anticipation and longing and fear, because if you fucked this up, then what would you do? It would be awkward living and working in the same place as Logan and you hated the idea of avoiding him all to save yourself some dignity. Â
Before you were ready, you were standing on your parent's doorstep, hesitant to announce your arrival. Â
"What's wrong?" Logan asked, nudging you in the side with his elbow. Â
"We can leave," you blurted, avoiding his gaze. "We can leave and just skip this year and they never have to know I was here."Â
Logan sighed before unhooking his arm from yours and wrapping it around your shoulders. "I've got you," he promised. "Now ring the damn doorbell."Â
"That was almost sweet," you muttered, grinning at Logan's snort of amusement. Â
You reluctantly reached out to ring the doorbell, wincing at the chime you had heard throughout all your childhood. It meant you were home and not where you really belonged at the X-Mansion. You were still debating the merits of just making a run for it when the door opened and you were met with the sight of your mother. Â
She looked genuinely happy to see you, which was really one of the only things that was keeping you rooted to the spot. But then she realized you weren't alone and she turned her attention towards Logan. The warmth in her smile faded into something more polite and suited for company. Â
"Oh, you brought a friend," your mom observed, the corners of her mouth turning down in disapproval. Â
"I brought a date," you corrected her, trying not to startle when Logan dropped his hold on your shoulders and instead grabbed your hand. Feeling Logan lace his fingers through yours felt like the greatest thing ever and you hated that he was only doing it for show. Â
"And who is this?" Your mom asked, already dismissive of Logan despite knowing nothing about him. Â
She knew one thing, you thought, doing your best not to scowl at your mom. She hadn't picked Logan for you, so of course he wasn't good enough. Â
"Logan, ma'am," he introduced with a nod of his head. Â
"And how do you know my daughter, Logan?" Your mom interrogated, staring him down as if she could make him disappear if she concentrated hard enough. Â
It was then you realized your mom was refusing to move until she got her answers. Your mom hated being perceived as rude and you knew she must really not want Logan there if she wasn't even going to pretend to welcome him. Â
"Y/N and I work together and--" Logan cut himself off and shot you a wary look. You shook your head, letting him know not to tack on that you practically lived together as well. "We work together," he settled on with a small shrug of his shoulders. Â
"Are you one of those?" Your mom asked, gesturing briefly towards you. Â
You felt Logan tense up at your side and knew that trouble was fast approaching. Logan smiled at your mom, practically baring his teeth, and cocked his head to the side. "A mutant?" He supplied, practically not blinking as he met your mom's unimpressed stare with one of his own. "You could say that, sure," he added with a dangerous smirk that sent warning bells ringing in your head. Â
You tightened your hold on Logan's hand, lending him your own brand of moral support while also hoping to shut him up. "Mom, it's cold out here," you hinted, quirking an eyebrow at her. âMaybe you should invite us in.âÂ
"Right," she muttered before stepping aside. "Why don't you and your...date," she practically sneered, "come in?"Â
"Thanks," Logan told your mom, offering her a wide, unsettling smile. "Your hospitality is appreciated."Â
You had never really seen Logan like this before. Maybe once or twice when he was in the same room as Scott and Jean and he wanted to get under Scott's skin. But this was somehow different and terrifying and just a bit thrilling. Â
Logan was doing his damnedest to stand up for you while also pretending to respect your mom. You could tell your mom was disappointed in you, but you didn't even care. You found yourself wishing that bringing Logan as your date was real, but you would take what you could get. You would just have to enjoy Logan's attention for as long as you had it.Â
Logan urged you forward with a hand on the small of your back and then helped you shrug out of your coat. âYou werenât kidding,â he muttered under his breath, sounding irritated. âYouâve put up with this shit your whole life?âÂ
âYeah,â you answered, knowing it was starting to look really pathetic on your part. Â
Your mom had retreated into the living room. You could see her talking to your dad and she pointed towards you and Logan. Your dad scowled before schooling his expression into something more neutral. Â
"Shit," you hissed, before grabbing Logan's arm. "Let's go somewhere else," you suggested. Â
"I go where you go," Logan promised, letting you lead him towards the dining room where you knew you would find a buffet-style spread of food. Â
At the very least, this was something your parents always got right. Logan looked exhilarated as he piled a plate with all kinds of food, ranging from strips of steak to scalloped potatoes to slices of honey glazed ham. Â
âNow this is a spread,â he approved, taking a bite of stuffed mushroom. Â
âEat up,â you told him, grinning at him. âYouâve earned it.âÂ
After eating and then drifting from room to room in a bid to avoid your parents, you realized that Logan was intent on keeping his word. He stayed right there at your side, letting you introduce him to your parent's friends and their kids with a smile on his face and a hand on the small of your back.Â
You were beginning to feel flustered having Logan in your space, so you retreated to the one place you knew you could drop the facade for just a little bit and gain a tiny bit of your sanity back. Â Â
You ended up hanging out with the children that had been left in a room near the back of the house. You had always hated being a kid at your parent's parties, because it meant you were stuck in a room with other kids and basically ignored for the rest of the night. But now, as an adult, it was the only true refuge to be found at your parentâs house during a party.Â
You ended up entertaining them with your powers. You helped some float using your forcefields and you turned invisible and let them try to find you. All the while, Logan stood at the entryway of the room, watching you with a fond little smile that set off a fluttering in the pit of your stomach. Â
After half an hour of Logan's undivided attention, you decided to give yourself a break. You planned on staying with the kids, so you doubted your parents would even find you. The plan was foolproof and would give you the time to calm your racing heart. Â
"Hey, would you mind getting me a drink?" You asked Logan, glancing up at him from where you were crouched on the floor and letting Mrs. Hudson's granddaughter draw what you thought might be a unicorn on your arm. Â
Logan nodded his head, pushing off the doorframe he had been leaning against. He looked so fond and you couldnât take it anymore.Â
"Any preferences?"Â
"Surprise me," you told him with a grin, feeling just the slightest bit bold and playful. Â
âYou got it.â Logan winked before leaving the room, doing nothing to help you feel any more in control of the situation. Â
"Are you and Mr. Logan getting married?" Mrs. Hudson's granddaughter asked you, adding what you assumed was blood beneath the unicorn's hooves. Either that, or she had run out of green for grass and was making do with what she had on hand. Â
"Mr. Logan doesn't like me like that," you told her, obediently turning your arm over when she tapped it and shook a blue marker at you. Â
"Yes, he does," she answered, as if it was that simple. She started shading in a sky and you hoped it would be easy to wash off later. Â
"Well, isn't that adorable," someone drawled from the doorway. Â
"Fuck," you breathed, instantly recognizing the voice. Â
"That's an uh-oh word," Mrs. Hudson's granddaughter reprimanded you. Â
"Sorry," you told her, patting her on the shoulder before standing up. You reluctantly turned to see your ex standing there. "What're you doing here?"Â
"Your parents invited me," Timothy told you, studying you. "God, you look great."Â
"Shit," you groaned, realizing that Timothy had been the person they were going to try to set you up with this year. Â
"That's another uh-oh word," Mrs. Hudson's granddaughter informed you with a disapproving frown. Â
"Right," you agreed before walking towards Timothy. "Maybe in front of the children isn't the best place for this conversation."Â Â
You brushed past Timothy, hating that you were in the same room as him, much less signing yourself up for a confrontation. You had been convinced for three years that Timothy was the one until he told you that he would rather adopt children than risk you passing on any of your 'mutant genes' to them. It had crushed you, realizing that Timothy didn't fully love you at all, and you had packed up all your things and joined the X-Men. Â
If anything, it should have made your parents hate Timothy for driving you away. Instead, they seemed to think he was the one who got away for you and you would never do any better. Â
You stopped in the entryway of an empty guest room and turned to face him. Â
"Look, I don't know what my parents told you, but I'm here with a date. I'm taken, alright? I don't want to get back together."Â
"Oh, come on," Timothy said, moving forward until he was in your space. "There's no date. You donât have to lie to me to make me want you more. I want you. I always have. And now we're here and there's a really good reason why I should kiss you right now," he continued with a quick glance up. Â
You tried not to wince as you also took a chance and looked up at the frame of the doorway. "Mistletoe," you observed, hating that you had the worst luck. "It wasn't on purpose."Â
"I already told you that you don't have to lie to me," Timothy claimed before bringing a hand up and cupping your cheek. "I'm all yours, babe. Just say the word."Â
"Leave," Logan growled, approaching the pair of you from down the hallway. He had two wine glasses in his hands which he quickly set down on a table displaying family photos. Â
"Who the fuck are you?" Timothy asked, barely even budging from his spot in front of you. Â
"My date," you helpfully informed him just as Logan unsheathed his claws. Â
"What the--" Timothy started just as you pushed him away with a forcefield. He went stumbling back, shooting you a look of betrayal. "You swore you'd never use that against me."Â
"When we dated, sure," you reminded him. "But we're not together anymore. And we never will be again," you stressed, hoping he would get the message. Â
When Logan kept coming towards the two of you, not bothering to put away his claws, Timothy's eyes widened. Â
"Move it, bub," Logan snarled, looking like he was moments away from sinking his claws into Timothy.Â
"Okay, okay, I get it, whatever. Tell your boyfriend I'm sorry," he rambled, practically scrambling to get away from you and Logan. Â
You watched him scurry away, a grin tugging at your lips. "That was great," you exclaimed, turning back towards Logan. You nearly jumped when you realized that Logan was now standing right in front of you. Â
He packed the claws away and reached up to frame your face in his hands. Â
"What are you doing?" You whispered, your heart suddenly pounding so hard you were sure Logan would be able to hear it going crazy. Â
"There's mistletoe," Logan reminded you, his voice soft and intimate.Â
"We don't have to," you assured him. "I mean, it's just a dumb tradition, right? It's--"Â
"What I want," Logan finished for you, expression intent and serious. His thumb gently swept along your jaw and you didn't even have time to process the fact that Logan wanted to kiss you before his lips were pressed against yours. Â
Your brain went haywire trying to figure out what to do. You brought your hands up, unsure where they should land, before you settled them on Logan's shoulders. You were worried you would fuck the moment up by not responding, so you poured all your feelings into the kiss. You had wanted Logan for so long and if this was the only kiss you got from him, then you wanted it to be something you remembered for years to come. Â
Logan's touch remained gentle, but his kiss was searching and all-consuming. You nipped lightly at his lips, testing for a reaction, and shivered when Logan moaned and reeled you in closer. Â
By the time you pulled away, you felt like Logan had thoroughly claimed you. You nearly couldn't catch your breath, torn between giddy anticipation and fear that this was all about to come crashing down around you. Â
You met Logan's eyes, unsure of what you would find there. You froze for a moment, sure that you were wrong, but you let yourself take the time to really look at him. You couldnât afford to mess this up. There was way too much at stake.Â
Logan was watching you like you were the only thing in the whole world. He was looking at you with affection and want and something that looked a lot like love to you. It was exactly what Remy, Rogue, and Ororo had claimed Logan had been doing all along. Â
"I've really got to thank Remy," you muttered, realizing that he had been right that Logan had been making a move by agreeing to be your fake date. Except, Logan did have real feelings for you, but you were the only one who hadn't been able to see it. Â
"What?" Logan growled, his grip briefly tightening on you. "You're really thinking about Remy right now? After what just happened, heâs whatâs on your mind?"Â Â
You shook your head, smiling at Logan. Logan had absolutely no reason to be jealous, because even if he might not be aware of it, there was no one who could ever compete with him. No one else had ever made you feel the way Logan made you feel. You felt like there was a warmth taking root in your chest and it was lighting you up inside. It was all Logan. His touch, his kiss, and his affection had you feeling invincible. Â
As long as you had him, you truly could do anything. Including deal with your parents and their intolerance and shitty choice of suitors for you. Â
Logan had volunteered to be your date and had spent a whole evening putting up with your parents and their snooty, prejudiced friends all for you. Logan had run off your ex and then kissed you like he wanted nothing more than to keep doing that for the rest of his life. Logan wanted you just as much as you wanted him and you felt like you were on top of the world. Â
You didn't care that this had started out as fake, because now it was real and there was really only one thing you wanted to do now that you knew you had Logan. Â
"You've got nothing to worry about. You're all I want," you assured him before reeling him back in for another kiss underneath the mistletoe. Â
It wasnât exactly the Christmas you had expected to have, but it was turning out to be the only one worth celebrating.Â
Logan was truly the best gift you had ever received.Â

Hiiiii! Could you write G!P councilor Sevika x fem reader? Where Sevika comes home to her wife after a council meeting and she is frustrated so reader offers to help her with it and Sevika has her way with reader? Resulting in her getting pregnant.
Thank youuuuu xoxo
Alrightyyy!~ Another G!P Fic
This time Sevika x Fem!Reader
Mentions of G!P, pregnancy, smut
âââ
You are my world
Sevika just arrived home after the council meeting, not looking very amused as she stomped into the kitchen, making herself a drink and heading to the living room, sitting down on the sofa before taking a sip from her drink and putting the glass down, letting out a annoyed groan.
You heard her being finally home again as you just got out the shower, feeling so happy to see your wife being back home again. âHey! Youâre finally back.â You cheered happily, walking towards her but her expression made you frown as you sat beside her. âIs something wrong?â You asked with a tilted head, making her sigh before she answered. âBeing a Zauntie member in the council is just frustrating. They donât really trust me, I get weird looks and-âŠugh.â Sevika groaned, rubbing her face with her hand, you hated seeing her frustrated like that.
âSevikaâŠgive them time. You are the most loyal and kind Zauntie I ever met. You have a heart of gold and they will notice it sooner or later.â You tried to calm her down, your hand gently caressing her muscular arm, finally she looked at you with a more softer expression and a little smile. âI just know why I made you my wifeâŠyou are just so good to me. You donât know how much you mean to me.â Sevika responded and you smile brightly before leaning in to press a kiss on her lips. The kiss got returned by her, ending up into a deep and passionate kiss, she really loved you and you loved her.
You soon pull back, both of you catching your breath before you got an idea to make her relax. âYou know I do have a idea to get your frustration offâŠif you like to.â You said with a teasing voice and Sevika got the message quickly, how could she deny you? She simply couldnât. âOh baby I would love that.â She said with the same lustful voice before picking you up, carrying you to the bedroom.
You moaned softly as Sevika put kisses on your neck, you laying underneath her, being fully exposed to her, you just loved how much affection she shows you, loving and cherishing every inch of your body as she worked her way down to your chest, leaving marks all over your chest and neck so everyone knows you belong to her. She was also fully exposed, her cock rubbing against your wet folds. Your hands are placed on her strong shoulders, whining softly when she started to play with your nipples, arching your back. âUghhâŠstop teasingâŠâ You mumble and she looked up at you with a lustful gaze. âImpatient?â
You just let out a little grunt in response. âFine fine. I wonât let my wife wait for longer, after all I am still frustrated and I want to get it all off of me.â She leaned up as she adjusted herself between your legs, your gaze fixed on her beautiful strong body, your hand moving down along her muscles on her stomach before you let out a moan once she slid inside of you.
âFuck!âŠâ You moan out, hands trying to find something to hold onto and they found your pillow, grabbing it tightly as you let Sevika thrust into you. Her size was just perfect for you, filling you completely up and stretching you so good, the first thrusts making you already go crazy. When her hands held your hips you felt a shiver go down your spine because of the feeling of her metal hand on your soft and warm skin. You bit on your lip, trying to hold back your moans.
âOh no I want to hear those. Donât you dare holding back.â She grunted, thrusting harder inside of you and with every thrust, feeling her rubbing your insides and hitting your sweet spot, you moaned louder. âA-Ah! Yes! Yes right there!â You moaned out, not feeling embarrassed anymore about your lewd moans as the pleasure was taking over, your legs squeezing around Sevikaâs hips.
âDamnâŠthatâs right. Give me those sweet sounds of yours.â Now she was moaning too at the good feeling, filling up the room with lewd sounds of your moaning, whining and the sounds of yours bodies clapping together. You felt close but you didnât even think about wanting her to stop and pull out like usually.
âC-cum inside me. Please do.â You begged her and that made Sevikaâs expression softer. âYou sure??â She asked in between her gasps and moans and you nod at her. âYes. Yes please do. I want it. I want it with you.â You whined, feeling your orgasm getting closer and your words made her feel even more aroused, Sevikaâs hips now moving almost automatically as she literally rammed her cock inside of you. Making you moan even more lewdly and making you roll your eyes back as you felt a wave of electric shocks through your body, legs shaking as they clenched around her hips. The feeling of your pussy clenching around her cock made her reach her orgasm too, making Sevika moan out and groan as she granted your wish, not pulling out as she came inside of you, filling you with her cum. âOh fuck! I am cummingâ She moaned out, cock twitching inside of you as she let it all go inside of you, making you feel all warm. She kept on thrusting slowly until she pulled out, watching a little bit of cum getting out of you, she really filled you up with a lot of cum.
After both of you reached your orgasms and calmed down, Sevika laying beside you in bed as she caressed your hair with her human hand. Slowly realising what you just did. âWeâŠare going to be parents.â She said with a soft whisper and you moved your gaze up to look into your wifeâs eyes with a soft and happy eyes. âYes. Thatâs all I want. Because you are my world.â She smiles and you could see her eyes being teary, you didnât see her being emotional that often but you loved it every time you saw her being soft with you and before she could say anything, she kissed you deeply and passionately. Sometimes actions are more than words and you both were happy to become parents.

'A Fresh Start đČ*à©â©â§âËđ[part iv]
She's weird, she's creepy, she's a total stalker, and now she's... loitering outside your door...? [part iii]
You paced your living room, arms crossed tightly over your chest, teeth chewing the inside of your cheek. You felt like an idiot.
What were you thinking showing up to her house uninvited, banging on her door and shouting her name like a lunatic? No matter how hard you tried, you couldn't help but feel that showing up like you did had been a mistake.Â
The look in her eye when she opened the door haunted you. It wasnât anger, not really. It was something else entirely. Fear? Guilt? Whatever it was, you hated that look on her.
You stopped pacing for a moment, your arms falling to your sides as you let out a heavy sigh. What was the point of trying to fix things now? Youâd probably just scared her away for good. Why did you always have to push things? You shouldâve just left her alone, I mean clearly she didnât want to be friends.Â
But then you couldnât help but wonder: why the hell had she been following you then??
You groaned and flopped onto your couch as your mind raced. It didnât make any sense. If she didnât want anything to do with you, why had she gone out of her way to be near you? Why had she constantly stared at you from afar as if she wanted to say something?
None of it added up, and the more you thought about it, the more frustrated you felt. Maybe you were overthinking it. Maybe she wasnât following you at all, and youâd just misread the whole situation. But⊠no. The way sheâd looked at you when you confronted her, it was written all over her face. Sheâd been following you. You were sure of it.
âUgh.â you groaned, dragging your hands over your face. This was hopeless.
Every time you thought you had a grasp on her, sheâd do something to throw you off completely. She was impossible to read, like a puzzle missing half its pieces, or a windup monkey without its gears. And as much as you wanted to forget about it, about her, you couldnât.
Because deep down, you cared. You hated seeing her so⊠isolated, so withdrawn. And even if she didnât want to be friends, even if youâd scared her away, you couldnât help but feel like she didnât deserve this.
Pushing yourself off the couch, you started pacing again. You wanted to fix this, to figure out some way to show her that you werenât just trying to bother her. But how? After the way sheâd turned you away, what was the point?
Part of you wanted to march back to her house and try again. But the other part screamed at you to stay put, to not make things worse, to wait until she was ready.
But god did you want to see her.
You huffed again. You felt like a stupid teenage girl kicking her feet and hitting her pillows while whining about her latest highschool crush. You wanted to see her, you wanted to see her so bad it was driving you crazy. It was irrational really. She was a total freak. New in town, avoidant, creepy, and frankly, a little bit of a bitch. All negative traits associated with someone you shouldnât be seeing. So why did you want to so badly? All your alarm bells were going off but it was hard to tell if they were yelling or singing.
Either way, you decided that this time you wouldnât be impulsive. Youâd choose logic over feeling, because obviously thatâs what any other responsible adult would do⊠obviously. Logic over feeling. Rationality over impulse. It sounded easy in theory, but as you sat there, staring at the blank wall across the room, it felt impossible.Â
What if she thought you hated her? What if she thought you didnât care? Or worse, what if she thought you pitied her?
Sheâd probably slam the door in your face again if she thought for a second you were pitying her. You knew nothing about her yet you couldnât help but feel like she would be the type.
You groaned, flopping back onto the couch. "This is ridiculous," you muttered to yourself. "I'm ridiculous."
You stayed still for what felt like hours, the only sound you could hear being the faint ticking of the clock. You couldnât sit here forever, pacing between guilt and worry. But youâd already decided: no more impulsive decisions.
âŠ
So why were you halfway to the door before you even realized it?
Your hand froze on the doorknob. You couldnât go over there again. What happened to all that logic over feeling talk? Before you could scold yourself and retreat back to the couch, a sound from the other side of the door made you pause.
A shuffle. A creak. The distinct sound of someone sighing.
Your heart skipped a beat, and for a moment, you wondered if you were hearing things. After a short pause you decided that it wouldnât hurt to just check, for your own peace of mind if not anything.Â
Turning the doorknob to quickly open the door, the sight made your breath hitch.
Powder was crouching on your doorstep, looking up at you like a deer in headlights. Her eyes were wide, her hair messy, and she looked just as nervous as you felt.
âYou!â You shrieked.
She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out.
"What... the hell are you doing here?" you managed to ask after a long pause, your voice softer this time so as to not freak her out.
She shot to her feet so fast she almost lost balance, quickly tucking something into her pocket. Her eyes darted to the ground as she fidgeted with her fingers. âI donât- I wasnât-â
âYou werenât what? Just crouching on my porch for fun?â
She looked back up at you with a sour expression, her cheeks flushing a bright pink. âI didnât think youâd open the door!â she blurted out defensively.
âItâs my house!â you said, exasperated.
âI know that!â she snapped back, louder than she intended. Her eyes widened, and her voice softened almost immediately. âI just... I wasnât ready.â
âFor what?â you asked, but she didnât answer.
The air was heavy and the atmosphere was thick as you waited for her to respond. Her lips parted again as if to say something, but instead, she shook her head and spun on her heel, dropping onto the top porch step with a huff.
You took a minute to look at her. Just a couple minutes ago you were telling yourself to stay away from her, and although you agreed, you couldnât help but feel grateful for her visit. It felt right, yâknow, her being around.
Staring at the back of her messily cut hair, you wondered why sheâd dropped by in the first place. Two days ago she was shooing you away like a fly, but now, for whatever reason, she came to you this time. You wondered what changed.
You sighed as you followed her, sitting down a few feet away. Neither of you said anything at first, the silence filled only by the far away sounds of the townsfolk heading home as the sun set.
Finally, you spoke first, your voice quieter this time. âYou know, you don't make much sense.â
She didnât look at you, her eyes fixed on the sidewalk below.Â
âI know.â she muttered.
âThen help me out.â you said, trying to keep the frustration out of your voice. âWhatâs going on here?â
âI... I donât know.â she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
You turned to look at her, noticing the way her fists tightened. For someone so closed off, she looked more lost than anything else.
You felt a pang of guilt, and although you knew she'd never stand for being pitied, you couldn't help but feel bad.
âWell...â you said after a moment, leaning back slightly, âwhatever it is, thereâs no rush.â
She glanced at you out of the corner of her eye, her lips pressing into a thin line. She didnât say anything, but the fact that she didnât immediately run away felt like progress.
âThere's no rushâ the phrase replayed in her head for the millionth time. It was just like you to say something like that wasnât it? Sweet, patient, so sure of yourself. Meanwhile, she felt like her insides were about to explode.
She hated how much she cared about your words, how they lingered in the back of her mind, how they actually managed to reassure her.
âYouâre being too nice to me.â she said finally.
âHow so?â You asked, keeping your tone light.
She shook her head. âYou just are.â
You groaned dramatically. âYouâre so confusing.â
She laughed dryly in response.
After a short pause you leaned forward, resting your elbows on your knees.
âI like being nice to you.â you said simply.
She froze. For a moment, neither of you said anything.
âI donât know how to deal with that.â she admitted finally, her voice small.
âThen donâtâ you replied. âNot right now at least.â
Powder looked away, blinking rapidly. She stood abruptly. âI have to go.â
You stood too, subconsciously copying her. âPowder, waitââ
She turned to face you, looking at you fully for the first time since you two sat down, before quickly cutting you off. âHere, this was for you.âÂ
She extended her fist towards you before opening it to reveal a crushed and wilted flower.Â
You hesitated before accepting it, it was a cute offer but you were more confused than anything. You stared at it for a second before the sound of her boots rushing down the steps caught you off guard.Â
âH-Hold on!â you called out.
She stopped in her tracks, turning her head slightly to look at you through her peripherals.
âAre you⊠free tomorrow?â

CROSSING THE LINE â PART FOUR âĄ
paige x azzi
word count: 5.5k
A/N: Alright this chapter is a little shorter than the other one's but the next few will be longer! We finally get to see the outcome of Azzi leaving đ«Ł. Please keep leaving comments and live reactions, they seriously make my day.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
November 2023
Paige had tried calling Azzi that morning, her fingers hesitating over the screen before she finally pressed the call button. The phone didnât even ring before going straight to voicemail. She frowned, trying again, only to be met with the same result.
Frustrated but not willing to give up just yet, Paige decided to try Caroline, figuring Azzi might have told her where she was or needed her help if she did go somewhere. But when Caroline answered, her tone was firm, almost apologetic. âPaige, I canât tell you,â she said. âAzzi asked me not to.â
âSeriously, Caroline?â Paige snapped, her voice sharper than she intended.
Caroline sighed. âLook, Iâm sorry. I just⊠I canât. Youâll have to wait until sheâs ready to talk to you, she just told me she needed to get away.â
Paige ended the call feeling even more irritated, a bitterness creeping into her chest. So she moped around the suite for the rest of the day, her phone always in hand, checking it incessantly. Every notification made her heart jump, only to have her disappointment and hurt settle deeper when she realized it wasnât Azzi. At one point, desperate to get her mind off of things, Paige tried going to the gym. She pushed herself through a far too intense workout, hoping the burn in her muscles with each set would drown out the ache she felt in her chest, but it barely made a dent in her mood.Â
By the next day, when she still hadnât heard from Azzi, her frustration had morphed into something darker. She didnât want to admit how much it hurtâhow much Azziâs absence left her feeling hollow and unsettledâso she did what she always did when she didnât want to deal with her emotions.
She found someone else.Â
The girl showed up that evening, and while Paige went through the motions, it was different this time. Her actions were almost mechanical, her words borderline cold. She made it clear from the beginning that this was just for sex, no strings attached, and she stuck to it. When they were done, there was no lingering, no casual conversation, no pretending like she would call her. Paige stood up from the bed and handed the girl her clothes without hesitation.
âYou can go now,â she said casually, her tone devoid of any warmth, of any emotion at all for that matter.
The girl looked taken aback, but Paige didnât care. By the time the door clicked shut behind the stranger, Paige was already strolling into the common area, her expression unreadable, acting as if nothing had happened.
This pattern repeated over the next two days, Paigeâs encounters becoming increasingly detached and transactional. She barely even looked at the girls as they left, her mind elsewhere entirely.
Wherever Azzi had gone, the damage would already be done by the time she got back. Paigeâs hurt had hardened into something sharper, and she wasnât sure if she was angrier at Azzi for leaving or at herself for caring so much that she did.Â
âŠ
Azzi stepped into the suite late Monday night, three days after she had left, with her bag slung over one shoulder and a determined expression on her face. She was tired from traveling back from wherever she had been, but the weariness didnât dill her resolve. She needed to talk to Paige.Â
The sound of buttons being furiously pressed drew her attention to the couch, where Ice sat with her headphones on, deeply engrossed in the game in front of her. Azzi gave her a small nod as Ice looked up.
âHey,â Ice greeted, briefly pausing the game.
âHey,â Azzi replied, as she glanced toward Paigeâs closed door.
Ice noticed the look on Azziâs face and raised an eyebrow but didnât say anything at first. Azzi turned away, heading straight for Paigeâs door. Her hand was already on the knob, ready to open it without knockingâsomething sheâd done a hundred times before.
âI wouldnât,â Ice said kind of frantically, her voice cutting through the quiet.
Azzi paused, glancing over her shoulder with a confused frown. âWhat?â
Ice leaned back on the couch, her game forgotten for the moment, and gave Azzi a serious look. âJust⊠trust me. Knock.â
Azzi hesitated, the unfamiliar warning sending a feeling of unease through her. Still, she trusted Ice enough to take her advice. So with a quick exhale, she knocked on the door.
For a few moments, there was only silence as she waited. Then the door swung open abruptly, and Azzi found herself face-to-face with Paige for the first time in days.
Paige stood in the doorway, her expression unreadable, almost stoic. The usual warmth in her blue eyes was replaced by a cold detachment that sent a pang of guilt through Azziâs chest. Azzi opened her mouth to speak, but before she could get a word out, her gaze shifted past Paige to the girl lying on her bed.
The girl was half-covered by a blanket, her hair messy and her body language far too comfortable. When the sight hit Azzi she immediately felt like she was about to throw up and whatever words sheâd been about to say died in her throat as she just stood there.
Paigeâs expression didnât change, her blank eyes meeting Azziâs as if daring her to react. âWhat?â Paige asked flatly, her voice devoid of emotion.
Azziâs mouth opened, but nothing came out. Her hurt was too sharp, too raw to translate into words. Instead, she just stood there, stunned and speechless
Paige scoffed, the sound harsh and dismissive, and without waiting for a response, she slammed the door in Azziâs face.
Azzi stared at the closed door, still lingering as if she could somehow push through the moment. But the sight of Paige's expression and the girl on her bed played on a loop in her mind, each replay cutting deeper.
Ice watched the whole thing but didnât say a word. She just watched Azzi, her usually teasing demeanor replaced by quiet concern. As Azzi turned away from the door, Iceâs gaze followed her retreat, but she made no move to intervene.
Azzi walked past Ice without meeting her eyes, her shoulders stiff, her thoughts racing with everything she had planned to say but couldnât. Ice let her go, sinking back into the couch with a sigh, silently bracing herself for whatever fallout was brewing between the two.Â
âŠ
The tension that had settled between Paige and Azzi after that wasnât just a passing thing. It was a slow burn, spreading through every practice and team event. For the past week and a half, everyone witnessed the shift. Nothing overly dramatic, nothing that caused an outright scene, but something was different. The chemistry that once seemed unshakable between Paige and Azzi had been replaced with an uncomfortable distance, one that made even the simplest things feel like obstacles.Â
Nika and Aubrey worked tirelessly with one another in practice to offset the forced movements, calling plays and adjusting to shifts in defense. But the connection between Paige and Azzi was broken. The fluidity they had once shared was absent, and the team could feel it.
It wasnât just the lack of contact between them at practice; it was the silence that filled the space between each word they exchanged. When Geno called out instructions or made them do something together, their responses were clipped, their focus seemingly more on avoiding the other than executing the plays.
Some of the team tried to pry, casual questions about how things were going between them, but each attempt was quickly shut down. Paige would just brush it off clipped comments that were emotionless, and Azzi wouldnât say anything, simply turning away, her usual warmth replaced with a wall that many of them hadnât seen before.
It wasnât that Paige didnât careâit was that she cared too much. She just didnât know how to express it. She couldnât even look at Azzi without feeling the ache in her chest, the gnawing sense of loss that had taken root after that morning when she woke up alone with no explanation. So, she continued to fill the void, as she always had. She barely even noticed the girls anymore, but she kept bringing them around, hoping that doing something, anything, might help drown out the silence between her and Azzi and stop the thoughts from swirling in her head.
She couldnât quite articulate why she did it to the few teammates that askedâit wasnât because she was interested in any of them and she definitely didnât get anything from the exchanges. It was just that they provided a brief distraction her mind clawed at in desperation to ease the dullness she was feeling through her entire body.Â
Each time Paige came home with a new girl in tow, Azziâs irritation only deepened. She would be on the couch or in the kitchen, trying her best to remain composed, but the moment Paige walked through the door, it was as if the air shifted. Azziâs eyes would narrow, her jaw tightening, and if she was already sitting, her posture would become rigid. Sometimes, if she was on the couch, sheâd roll her eyes so dramatically that it seemed painful, the silent judgment lingering between them. Sheâd scoff under her breath, but never utter a word to Paige, as if silence alone could speak louder than anything she could say. It wasnât that she didnât want to confront Paige; it was just that the words never came.
The hurt was so clearly written on Azziâs face every time, but Paige couldnât bring herself to acknowledge it. Her own heart was in too much turmoil to even care about whatever Azzi was feeling. The silence, while deafening, was easier than facing the rawness of everything theyâd both been avoiding.
One morning, after another night spent at a girlâs houseâanother night of doing absolutely nothing this time aroundâPaige walked back into the suite, hoping to slip in unnoticed. Azzi was already in the kitchen, a mug of coffee in hand. She didnât look up when the door clicked open, but the second Paige stepped inside, Azziâs voice cut through the stillness.
âNice at least you had the decency to actually stay the night with this one.â Azziâs words were sharp, her tone biting.
The comment hit Paige like a jab to the ribs, the weight of the unspoken accusation hanging in the air between them. She froze in the doorway for a moment, the anger building in her chest before she exhaled sharply, her eyes narrowing.
Paigeâs voice was cold, her usual tone with Azzi these days. âYou donât really get to speak about that, considering your history Azzi.â
Azziâs eyes snapped up, her expression twisted in confusion and irritation. âWhat the hell are you talking about?â she shot back. âIâm not the one whoâs sleeping with the entire campus.â
Paige scoffed, the sound bitter as she shook her head. âNiice letâs pull the whole Paige sleeps around cardâ she muttered, voice dripping with sarcasm. âWhatever Azzi.â
Without another word, she turned on her heel and walked into her room, slamming the door behind her, the sound echoing through the quiet apartment.
The silence that followed was harsh, until the faint shuffle of footsteps broke it. Ice stepped out of her room, brow furrowed as she took in the tension that had been hanging in the air. She glanced between Azzi and the door to Paigeâs room, clearly concerned.
âWhat happened?â Ice asked, her voice low, but carrying the weight of her worry.
Azzi didnât even look up, her gaze fixed on the empty space in front of her. âNothing. Just another day,â she said, brushing off Iceâs question, trying to sound indifferent.
Ice crossed her arms, clearly not buying it. âAzzi, come on. I heard the door slam. Thatâs not ânothing.â Whatâs really going on?â
Azzi exhaled sharply. âIce itâs nothing I want to talk about, alright? Just drop it.â
Ice, who had spent days walking on eggshells around the two of them, wasnât having it this time. She stepped forward, her expression soft but firm. âLook, Azzi, I get it. You two are in a rough spot right now. But Iâm telling you, whatever you did to her you need to fix it.â
Azziâs chest tightened at the implied accusation. She lifted her head, her tone defensive. âWhy are you assuming Iâm the problem here? I didnât do anything wrong.â
Iceâs gaze softened, but her voice remained steady. âLook, I'm not trying to accuse you of anything. Iâm just putting two and two together Az. Paige was the one drowning herself in drinks that night. I had to basically carry her up the stairs when we got here. The next morning she came looking for you and sheâs been like this since thenâŠso.â
Azziâs jaw clenched as the words sank in, but she didnât let herself show how much they were affecting her. âI donât know what youâre talking about, Ice,â she muttered, eyes diverting from Iceâs gaze.
Ice let out a soft sigh, her frustration giving way to genuine concern. âAzzi You might not see it because youâre pissed at her right now or whatever, but you know Paige is the sweetest most selfless person we know. But whatever happened that night... it turned her into someone I donât even recognize anymore. She just looks so sad or angry all the time and the few times she does crack a smile at someone it seems forced and out of obligation. Thatâs bigger than whatever argument you two are having. So please just fix it.â
Azziâs breath hitched at Iceâs words, and for a moment, she felt a flicker of guilt and doubt about what she should be feeling. But she quickly shut it down, unwilling to listen, unwilling to accept that maybe she had played a part in all of this. Her mind set on her version of events. âLike I said, itâs not my fault,â she said sharply, as though trying to convince herself.
Iceâs voice grew softer, really trying to get through to Azzi. âYou know Paige would do anything for you. Sheâd turn the whole damn world upside down if it meant you would be happy, and I know you know that because you teased her about it all the damn time. But right now whatever is going on, whatever happened I can tell she feels like youâre just... another person sheâs lost and you know how she gets in her head about stuff like that Azzi.â
Azzi froze at Iceâs words, her heart beating harder in her chest. A part of her wanted to believe it. A part of her knew just how much she meant to Paige, But the bitterness inside her that had to watch Paige go back to sleeping around with random girls like it was nothing refused to let go. So she shook her head, a hard look in her eyes. âPaige treats me like every other girl she gets bored with, Ice. I doubt sheâs as broken up about us not talking as you think.â
Ice didnât even react to Azziâs words. She had seen enough to know that they werenât true. âCome on, you donât even believe that,â she said, her tone calm but pointed. âYou know exactly how she feelsâyouâre just not ready to admit it.â
Azzi didnât respond. Instead, she let out a small, frustrated sigh and walked toward her room, shutting the door behind her without another word.
âŠ
Even though Paige and Azzi werenât in the best placeâboth of them carrying an unmistakable anger toward one anotherâthey still cared about each other more than anything in the world. It was like they were tethered by an invisible string, a constant pull that neither could escape. No matter how far they drifted, they always came back, surfacing for a quick breath of air when they knew the other needed it most before going back under.
Thatâs why, when Azziâs birthday rolled around, Paige couldnât bring herself to ignore it. She knew how much Azzi had been dreading this day. They spent hours talking about it one day during the summer, the time where they would spend everyday getting to know one another. Azzi was spending her birthday without her family for the first time. So it didnât matter how hurt, angry, and confused Paige was; she couldnât let the day pass without doing something.
Azzi stepped into her room, the quiet stillness pressing against her in a way she hadnât expected. Birthdays had always been bittersweet, but this one felt heavierâemptier. She had tried not to think about it all day, pushing the pang of loneliness aside. No family. No big celebration. Just another busy day of her telling the team she didn't want to celebrate.Â
Her gaze drifted toward her bed, and she stopped in her tracks. Sitting squarely on her pillow was a small, carefully wrapped box. The wrapping paperâadorned with the smiling faces of Elsa and Olafâbrought an involuntary laugh to her lips, soft and tinged with nostalgia. She knew instantly who it was from.
The memory of forcing Paige to watch Frozenânot once, but maybe 10 or so timesâbrought a bittersweet ache to Azziâs chest. With a shaky breath, she walked over, picking up the box. The wrapping wasnât perfect, corners slightly crumpled, but it was clearly Paigeâs best effort. Azzi ran her fingers over it, a sad smile creeping onto her face.
She sat down on the bed, careful as she tore open the paper. Inside was a small jewelry box. When she opened it, her breath caught in her throat. Nestled in the box was a beautiful silver heart pendant, simple yet elegant, glinting softly in the light from her room.
Azziâs fingers traced the smooth surface of the heart, her thoughts inevitably drifting to Paige. The way she smiled, the way she laughed, even the way she annoyed her most daysâ every detail of the blonde seemed to live in this small necklace. But her attention was soon drawn to the card that also rested on her pillow. Her chest tightened as she opened it, already bracing herself for what was inside.
The handwriting was unmistakably Paigeâsâslightly messy but deliberate âHappy Birthday Az.â But what truly made her breath hitch were all the signatures and words around. They were all from every single member of her family.
Tears welled up in Azziâs eyes as she read the words they had written, her vision blurring. Paige had somehow managed to reach out to Azziâs familyâmiles awayâand have them all sign the card. She couldnât even fathom how much effort Paige must have put into this, knowing how much it would mean to her.
A single tear slid down her cheek, followed by another, until they came freely. She clutched the card to her chest, her emotions unraveling as she whispered into the empty room, âGod, Paige⊠why canât you just let me hate you for a minute.â
In that moment, all the pain, the distance, the walls theyâd built between them seemed to crumble just a little. Even when they werenât talking, Paige had cared enough to remind Azzi she wasnât alone. With trembling hands, Azzi unclasped the necklace and slipped it around her neck, fastening it securely. The weight of it against her skin was both comforting and overwhelming. And that, more than anything, left Azzi completely destroyed.
Despite this, the silence that lingered between them stayed the same. Both of them were experiencing feelings they had never felt before and couldn't find it in themselves to talk to one another. No words seemed like enough to express just how broken each of them were, just how much they both felt.
There was a hesitance that lingered between them, like an invisible wall neither knew how to break down. Pride? Fear? Hurt? Maybe all of it at once. Conversations that used to flow so naturally now felt like a daunting task, weighed down by all the unsaid feelings and misunderstood actions.Â
So, Paige and Azzi continued to exist in the same space, but their silence had become the loudest thing between them. The atmosphere in the apartment wasnât as heavy but it still lingered and they both bore it in their own way. Paige had stopped bringing girls home, though it wasnât out of any sense of compromiseâmore like resignation. They didnât hold her attention, and it was more draining than anything to sit there and pretend to listen to whatever it was they had to say. The season kept her occupied, and though UConn had won their first two games, the chemistry between the players was strained. And it was clear to everyoneâespecially Paige and Azziâthat they were capable of so much more.
Then came the third game.
Despite the fact that UConn had won, Azzi played a game far beneath her usual standard. Missed shots. Bad decisions. A lack of the confidence that had once been her trademark. It wasnât a total collapse, but it was jarring to watch it unfold. And everyone could feel it. The team had pulled through, but Azziâs performance lingered in the air, like an unspoken question no one could answer.
Back in their shared suite, Azzi was isolated. Sheâd retreated to her room after the game, a rare moment when she didnât have the usual fire in her eyes. The slow loss of her confidence throughout the game had been too much to handle, and as she scrolled through social media, the criticism rained down on her. The comments, the posts, the critiquesâthey all hit harder than they should have. The self-doubt crept in, overwhelming her. She knew she was better than this. She knew she could do betterâbut tonight, it felt like the world was telling her she couldnât.
Paige, knowing exactly how much Azzi struggled with this kind of pressure knew Azzi would internalize it all, even when she shouldn't. So Once again coming up for a breath of fresh air even with the silence that lingered between them, Paige silently made her way to Azziâs room, her hand reaching to open the door.
When she stepped inside, the sight of Azzi laying on her bed with her phone in hand, eyes red-rimmed and filled with tears, knocked the air out of her chest. Paige didnât say a word. She simply moved toward Azzi, gently taking the phone out of her hand. Azzi didnât fight her, didnât protest, her hands too weak to stop Paigeâs gentle movements. Paige locked the phone and set it aside before crawling under the covers next to her.
Azzi didnât immediately respond. She kept her distance, staring at the pillow, her breathing shallow. Paige hesitated for just a moment before she carefully pulled Azzi on top of her, guiding her head to her chest. It was an unfamiliar gestureâbut the silent bond they shared, the deep connection that tethered them to one another, made it feel like home the moment Azzi rested her head on Paigeâs chest. Paige rubbed slow, soothing circles on Azziâs back, her hand tracing over the familiar patterns as Azzi finally gave in, burying her face deep against Paigeâs chest as the tears began to flow freely.
The silence between them was thick, but it wasnât empty. It was filled with everything they couldnât say. Azziâs emotionsâabout the game, about herself, about everything she had been holding inâpoured out in the form of quiet sobs. Paige didnât speak. She didnât need to. She just held her, feeling the warmth of Azziâs body pressing against hers, reminding her of everything they still had, everything they could have.
As the time ticked by, Paige continued rubbing soothing circles on Azziâs back, her touch slow and steady. The tension in Azziâs body began to fade, her cries growing softer with each passing second. Paige could feel the weight lifting from Azziâs shoulders, even if just a little, as she finally started to relax. Eventually, Azziâs breathing evened out, slow and steady, and before long, the crying ceased altogether. The silence in the room deepened, and Paige felt Azziâs body become still in her arms.
When Paige finally realized that Azzi had fallen asleep, her breath soft against Paigeâs neck. Paige hesitated, a portion of her brain not wanting to disturb her, the other portion loving the way Azzi felt against her chest. But as much as she wanted to stay, to keep holding Azzi and never let go, she knew she had to leave. Slowly, carefully, Paige tried to extricate herself from Azziâs grasp.
As she moved, Azzi, still in a deep sleep, unconsciously gripped onto Paigeâs shirt, her hand clutching the fabric tightly, as if trying to keep her there. This made Paigeâs heart ache. She could feel the pull of Azziâs need, but as much as it hurt to tear herself away, Paige knew she couldnât stay.
With a quiet sigh, Paige gently unwrapped Azziâs hand from her shirt, and though every part of her wanted to stay in that bed, stay in that moment with Azzi, she slowly slipped out from under the covers. She stood beside the bed for a moment, looking down at Azziâs peaceful face, before leaning down and placing a soft kiss on Azziâs forehead. It was a kiss full of tenderness and care, an unspoken promise that, no matter how broken they were, there was still something between them that could be fixed.
She pulled away, her heart aching, and shut the door softly behind her.
As Paige walked toward her room, she caught sight of Ice standing in the hallway, her eyes immediately locking with Paigeâs. The concern in Iceâs gaze was unmistakable, but it was the sadness in Paigeâs blue eyes that struck her the hardest. Ice saw it. She saw how badly Paige was hurting, even if Paige was trying to hide it.
Without saying a word, Ice opened her arms, a silent offer of comfort. Paige hesitated for a moment, her chest tightening, before she reluctantly stepped into the embrace. She forced herself to hold it together, unwilling to break down in front of anyone. She stayed still, but her arms were stiff, her mind racing with all the things she wanted to say to Azzi, but couldnât.
Eventually, Paige pulled back, the hug lingering just a moment longer than she wanted, and gave Ice a weak smile, barely more than a fleeting, pained expression. Without another word, she walked past Ice, retreating into the quiet of her room.
âŠ
After that night, the silence between Paige and Azzi clearly wasnât one of anger anymore. It was much softer, filled with longing, a quiet understanding that neither of them could fully name. They missed each other.Â
It started off slow. It went from both of them keeping their doors shut all day to them leaving them open. They would sit in the common area, not speaking, but neither one of them moving to leave. It was as if the space between them was hanging on a delicate balance, each of them too cautious to disturb it.Â
Paige would catch glimpses of Azzi absentmindedly playing with the necklace she had given her, the one she only took off for games and practices now. It was a small gesture that spoke volumes. Every time Paige saw it, a slight smile would tug at her lips.Â
They both had waved the white flag, they just didnât know how to break the silence.Â
Paige now sat on the edge of Nikaâs bed, her hands pressed into her lap, fingers twitching with restless energy. She couldnât meet Nikaâs eyes, even as her twin studied her with a knowing gaze as she was trying to get Paige to finally talk about what happened.Â
âPaige,â Nika said again softly, her voice a calm counterpoint to the hecticness that had been brewing inside of Paige. âI know somethingâs been bothering you. Itâs been weeks, just talk to me so we can figure it out.âÂ
Paige just shrugged, eyes flicking to the window as if the answer could be found in the dull gray light outside. âItâs nothing. Iâm fine, Nika.â
But Nika wasnât convinced. Besides Azzi she knew Paige better than anyone, knew the signs when Paige was holding something in. This wasnât the usual âIâm fine.â This was differentâsubdued, like Paige was a thread stretched too thin, about to break.
âPaige,â Nika insisted, her voice softer now, âstop shutting me out. I can tell somethingâs been going on with you. Weâve been through too much together for you to hide it from me.â
Paigeâs lips pressed into a thin line, her eyes darting to the floor. There was a tremor in her chest, and she fought to keep it contained. She wasnât ready to talk, wasnât ready to let anyone see the cracks in her armor just yet.Â
Nika didnât push too hard, but she didnât let up either. She sat down next to Paige, close enough that the warmth of her body was a quiet comfort. âCome on,â Nika coaxed, her voice gentle but insistent. âYou donât have to talk about it if you donât want to, but youâre not fooling anyone anymore. Definitely even me.â
Paige exhaled sharply, then, almost as if the words had been building up in her chest for too long, she whispered, âWe slept together.â
Nika blinked, not sure if sheâd heard her correctly. She tilted her head, voice steady but curious. âWhat? Who?â
Paigeâs gaze snapped to the floor, her throat tightening as she repeated it, a little louder this time. âAzzi. Me and AzziâŠwe slept together.â
Nika absorbed the words, the weight of them sinking in slowly. She had seen the chemistry between Paige and Azzi for a while now, had seen the way they glanced at each other, the quiet touches when they thought no one was watching. It wasnât surprising, exactly, but hearing Paige admit it was different.
âI... I donât know what to say,â Nika said, voice soft but not judgmental. âWhy is that a bad thing? It should be good, right?â
The question hung in the air, and that was when it happened. A single tear, slow and hesitant, escaped from Paigeâs eye, tracing a path down her cheek; because yes, it shouldâve been good. It shouldâve been amazing. Paigeâs hand instinctively went to her face, as if trying to catch the tear, but she couldnât stop it. She felt itâfelt everythingâthe confusion, the hurt, the abandonment all spilling over in that one small, silent tear.
Paigeâs chest tightened, her breath catching as her walls finally crumbled in the quiet of Nikaâs room. âShe was gone the next day,â she whispered, her voice cracking. The words felt like rocks in her mouth, heavy and painful. âShe... she just left me. When I woke up, she was gone.â
The floodgates opened then, the words pouring out faster than she could contain them. Her shoulders shook as another tear slipped free, and then another, until the tears were flowing in uninvited yet unstoppable. Paigeâs chest heaved as the weight of it continued to press down on her, the pain she had been holding in finally spewing out.Â
Nika didnât say anything at first. She simply reached out, pulling Paige into her arms with a tenderness that only she could offer.Â
âItâll be okay, twin,â Nika whispered, her voice barely audible. âItâll be okay.â
Paige couldnât answer. She could only let herself break, the sobs wracking her body as Nika held her close, whispering assurances over and over again. The comfort of Nikaâs arms right now was the only thing that kept Paige from completely losing herself to the turmoil inside her, she missed Azzi so much.
After a while she fell asleep in Nikaâs bed, the weight of her emotions finally easing in the stillness of the room.
Nika didnât disturb her. She let Paige sleep, knowing how much she needed the rest. After a few minutes, Nika gently moved away from the bed, making sure not to wake her. She grabbed a piece of paper from the nearby desk and scribbled down a quick note:
Wanted to let you sleep. Text me if you need anything. I'll be around. -Twin
With a soft sigh, Nika placed the note on the pillow next to Paige before she quietly exited the room.
The rest of the suite felt too quiet as Nika walked to the common area, her mind racing trying to figure out how to fix the situation. She needed to do something. There was only so much she could do by offering comfort. She needed to handle the bigger picture.Â
She pulled out her phone, her fingers moving with purpose. Within seconds, she created a group chat with the rest of the team, making sure Paige and Azzi werenât included. The message was simple:

Dean tilted his head up towards the sky and forced out a heavy sigh filled with tension and regret and frustration and fear and remorse⊠it was chock full of emotions he didnât want to feel or deal with. This was the furthest from the kind of night he wanted, it was the furthest thing away from his he wanted Madison to feel. Even letting his anger over the concept of her getting into her car drunk overpowered his ability to speak calmlyâ all he could think was how many people heâd scraped off the road from their âit wonât happen to meâ endeavors.
She was fast, heâd give her that much, but he was faster. He collected her heels and took off after her to make sure she didnât pull a move like the deer and run her way into oncoming traffic. âFuck!â He wheezed out on the winds of her racing feet. âMadison, stop!â He screamed, the anger had dissipated entirely to something he couldnât pinpoint. Fear? Panic? Genuine concern that she would hurt herself? All of it maybe. âStop, youâre gonna hurt yourself goddammit!â He shouted again, reaching out and latching onto her wrist.
He didnât know what else to do, he pulled her sharply towards himself to throw her off balance and in one smooth and fluid motion he scooped her right up off her feet and bridal style into his arms. She could fight if she really wanted, but he just wanted her safe and if that got him put in a worser timeout then so be it. Dean would never hurt Madison, but the fact that she saw him as a harmful man.. it brought the vibrancy of his eye color out; magnified by the fact genuine tears of angry distress hung on his lashes. Though none fell, he wouldnât allow that. âIâm not gonna hurt youâ- Iâm not your psycho ex- I donât go around hurting women, would you just listen to me! For once would you and Cas just split the single fucking braincell you both share and listen to me! Iâm not going to hurt you!â His voice cracked and his eyes remained locked on her.
It was a shame really. Because she could hear the words Dean was saying & maybe she wouldâve been able to process them. Maybe.
But when he spun her around & pressed her up against the car door, she froze. Her eyes widened & panic set in. Dean was yelling & she was cornered. No where to run or hide, no one to protect her. She sniffled & the louder he got the more she shrank until she was shaking like a scared puppy.
He yelled about the phone calls & she covered her face. Cowering away & crying, âIM SORRY!â she cried, not able to hear what else he was saying. âIâm sorry Iâm sorry please donât hurt me. Iâm sorry.â
She the keys in her hands were warm & sweaty from the tension, she tossed them into deans chest. âIâm sorry Iâm sorry take them Iâm sorry please donât hurt me.â W/ all her strength she shoved Dean aside & took off running. She managed to kick off her heels in the process & just ran. She didnât know what direction. Just anywhere.

after hours, a fluffy husband!Nanami oneshot
an: this one goes out to all the babes working through the holidays, in all forms<3
âWorking late again, my love?â Nanami wrinkled his brow as he looked over your shoulder at the computer screen. âIs this the same project youâve been working on all week?â
You rolled your neck, trying to ease some of the tension, and he took it as his cue to begin gently massaging your shoulders. âYeah, it is,â you sighed. âI tried to tell my boss we shouldâve started this months ago, but they ignored it until this week. Now Iâve got to get it all done by an impossible deadline.â You jabbed at the button to lower the brightness on your monitor. Your eyes stung, and it only frustrated you more. âIt sucks.â
Nanami kept kneading your shoulders as he listened, softly pressing down when they rose up to your ears as you vented. âThat sounds awful. They should have listened to you.â
âMhm. But it doesnât matter now, I still have to fix their problem.â
âThereâs no one else that can do this? Or at least help?â
âHa, no one else who can do it right, or on time.â You shrugged his hands off, ignoring the way it made him frown. âIâll be working late tonight. Donât stay up waiting for me, okay? Only one of us should have to suffer.â
He hummed dismissively. âI donât think so. Iâm keeping you company, at the very least.â He pressed a kiss to the top of your head. âYou know how I feel about overtime.â
âItâs shit?â
âExactly. Iâll be back in a moment.âÂ
You slumped in your chair and scrolled through a few more pages of documentation as Nanami clattered around the kitchen. When he reappeared in the doorway, he was holding two mugs of tea, with a book tucked under his arm. Your softest pair of sweatpants were draped over his shoulder.Â
âWhatâs all this, Kento?â
He set the tea at your elbow and held out the sweatpants with a crooked smile. âTrying to help a little.â He knelt down in front of your chair. âWill you let me?â
You nodded and let your head fall back on the chair as he pulled off your trousers, your scowl easing just a bit. Kentoâs touch was gentle and warm, chased by light kisses. He slid your comfy sweatpants on, smiling as you lifted your hips to let him work them up to your waist. âThere we go. Better?â
âMuch,â you conceded. He lifted your bare foot and pressed a kiss to the arch, like Prince Charming doting on Cinderella. But instead of a glass slipper, he adorned you in fuzzy socks.
Nanami didnât give you a chance to protest as he pulled a chair up beside you and settled in, one hand resting firmly on your thigh. âWeâll see this through together, alright?â He opened the book he had brought in and began to read.Â
His silent support made the work go faster. Though it was a miserable slog, leaning your head on his shoulder or feeling his hand in your hair reminded you that there were better things waiting for you when the work was done.
True to his word, Nanami stayed up as late as you did, microwaving your tea, massaging your aching shoulders, and murmuring words of encouragement until your monster of an assignment was vanquished. You sent your last email and slammed the laptop shut with a triumphant grin, and he scooped you up in his arms. "You're incredible. My wife, the genius. My brilliant- what is it you say?" he stopped to think for a moment. "Corporate baddie."
You burst into a fit of laughter. "Where are you taking me?"
"To a well-earned rest, my love." You smiled into his chest, feeling a familiar heat between your legs, his sweetness and strong embrace making you want to feel the rest of your him, to reward him for his patience...
Despite your grand plans, you were half-asleep by the time he reached the bedroom. He laid you gently in bed and set to work wiping the makeup from your face with a reusable cloth- he wasn't new at this. "This" being taking care of you- by far the most important responsibility in his mind.
He accepted the half-asleep kisses you pressed to his lips between mumbled promises of what you'd do to him tomorrow, in thanks.
"As lovely as it sounds, at least I think," he teased, "I don't need to be rewarded for caring for you. I seem to remember saying some vows to that effect..."
You shushed him with another kiss, already drifting off beside him. Exactly where you belonged.

Billy Butcher x you oneshot!
Billy knows how to really take care of you when you need it mostâŠ
18+ only smut, piv, cock warming, creampie
Merry Christmas! đ
~*~*~
It was getting late. Butcher was watching a movie on the couch, but you were sitting at the table, finishing up some work.
When you were finally done, you gave a huge sigh of relief and checked your email one last time.
"Fuck," you groaned as you opened the 5th message from your boss that night asking you for a report on one of your projects. Frustration and tension and anxiety surged inside of you like the tide, and for a moment all you could do was sit there and stare at the screen.
Butcher had paused halfway through his movie as he got up to get a drink and seemed to sense what was happening. Honestly, you were stressed a lot these days. Most of the time he wouldn't notice, or at least would just let you be but right now you felt like you were at your tipping point.
"C'mere doll," he said from behind you.
You glanced over your shoulder to tell him you were busy, but the fierce look in his eyes told you he was not going to take no for an answer.
You sighed when you stood up and went over to him but all you were thinking was 'he noticed.'
Butcher slid his hands around your waist, tugging you against him. "You've been workin' too hard."
All of the breath in your lungs seemed to escape in one big whoosh. "It's just how it is this time of year.
I just have one more report to work on. And I need to do my laundry. And it's Thursday."
Butcher leaned back, lifting his eyebrow at you.
"Dusting day," you explained meekly.
Billy gave you a look. "I'll do yer laundry with mine and dustin' can wait. What can I do tonight to make ya sit still for a while and let yerself go?"
You leaned forward wrapping your arms around his waist and pressing your cheek against his broad chest. He was right, you felt like you were about to collapse but there was still so much to do...
"Maybe just hold me," you said softly.
"I'd be chuffed, love, but yer mind would still be whirlin' wouldn't it. Need somethin' to distract that pretty head o' yours too."
He rubbed your back for a moment as he thought and a soft, but tired, little sound escaped your throat. He knew you, and he knew it had to be something different to truly get your mind off of your worries right now.
He glanced at the tv where the movie was paused, then back to you. "Up for a little playin', love? I've got an idea."
The look in his eye told you it was something interesting and you couldn't help immediately being intrigued. "Maybe...what would I have to do?"
"Nothin' love. Go and change inta somethin' comfy. Just a shirt, nothin' else, then come back out and sit with me."
"Ok." You gave him a kiss before you retreated into your shared bedroom.
When you came back out he was sitting on the couch and he groaned as soon as he saw you.
"Fuck me," he muttered.
You grinned at him, pleased. You'd changed into one of his shirts, and you'd left it unbuttoned, though it was pulled around you at the moment. It was soft and it barely came to the tops of your thighs.
"Well c'mon," he husked, patting his lap and letting his heated gaze roam over you.
You climbed into his lap kneeling over him and sitting back on his thighs. "If your idea is to fuck me..." you deadpanned.
He smirked wickedly, his hands sliding to your hips. "Nah it ain't that. You know you'd be comin' in minutes, love, then you'd be right back to your troubles again wouldn't ya? Need somethin' to relax yer brain fer a lot longer than that. Besides I need t'finish me film."
Well...he wasn't wrong.
For a moment you met his eyes, gleaming with mischief, and you could feel his cock swelling beneath you...and then you realized what he wanted to do. A surprising pulse of lust surged through your veins and you knew you were immediately wet for him. It wasn't something you'd ever thought of before but now that you did...now that you did you were more than eager to try. That might actually work.
His hazel eyes glinted with desire even as they darkened. "Be a good girl and get me cock out, yeah?"
You swallowed, nodding your head and sliding back off his lap. He gave you a look and you obeyed instantly, working his belt free and opening his jeans. He shifted his hips so you could tug them down just enough to free his cock, already hard and ready for you.
"How do you want me?" you whispered.
"Facin' the telly, yeah? Wouldn't want you to miss the rest o' the film."
You hadn't really seen the first half as you'd been working at the same time, but you had a feeling that didn't matter. And maybe it would help to have something to watch to help distract you from his...distracting.
You stood up and turned around as he slid one big hand around the base of his cock to steady it, and gripped your hip with the other.
"Ready, doll," he murmured low, and you moved to sit on him slowly, his hand positioning you with a tight grip.
When you felt the head of his cock at your entrance, a little moan left your lips but he kept guiding you down without pause.
"Fuck..." you breathed. Without much preparation, the fit was tight and he stretched you almost uncomfortably but you knew your body would adjust.
"Fuckin' hell, love, your gushin'," he groaned. "Must've liked this idea more than I realized."
You wanted to argue but a broken moan was all that left your lips. You took a breath as you took him all way, you ass quickly pressing flush against his thighs. "Oh my god..." you whimpered. Syrupy pleasure flooded through your body, making your clit throb and your cunt flutter around his length as you thought about staying like this.
Billy gripped your hips hard with both hands and you felt another gush of wetness around his cock. "Easy now. Take a deep breath fer me, love. Yer gonna have to calm down if you yer gonna be a good girl and let me keep ya on me cock till I'm done watchin'."
"Oh fuck," you moaned breathily, closing your eyes and biting your lip hard. Breathe.
His hands rubbed soothingly over your hips and outer thighs and you took a slow deep breath and licked your lips, focusing on the tv in front of you. You caught sight of the time bar and you almost groaned at the amount of time that was left, just a little less than an hour. Breathe.
He felt so thick inside of you, the size of him alone lighting up every nerve ending you had. But you had a long way to go so you took another deep breath, and finally your body let go of some of the tension, just a little.
That's my girl," Billy murmured low from behind you. He slid one arm around you and urged you to lean back against his chest. "Just rest here for a bit, filled up with me cock, not thinkin' 'bout nothin' else."
Your only answer was another whimper and he gave a low chuckle.
Starting the movie again, he moved a pillow to your side, and another on his shoulder so you could rest your head against it and still watch the movie. Your bare legs were draped over his jean clad thighs and you had to be careful not to let his open zipper scrape across your inner thighs or worse. Incentive not to move, you supposed.
You swallowed again, trying hard not to clench around him, but you couldn't help the little flutters of your cunt anytime his cock twitched or he shifted even the tiniest bit.
How he was keeping his own control so easily, you had no idea. Probably had a wank in the shower earlier, you sighed to yourself.
His chest was warm against your back and his big hand was rubbing your thigh. You really tried to watch the movie, but fuck, he was so deep like this. His cock was fiery hot inside of you and you swore you could feel the veins that ran the length of it. You felt every inch af him.
Minutes ticked by slowly, and you did your best for almost 15 of them, but as pleasure continued to pool in your center, and your body adjusted to his size, relaxing and taking him deeper, all you could think about was getting relief. You were dripping and you were sure he could feel it, but still he seemed as relaxed as ever, lazily stroking your thigh as he watched the tv.
Then before you could try to stop yourself, your hips rocked on top of his lap and a soft little cry escaped as bliss erupted inside you, making your whole body tense and buzz, making your fingertips tingle.
Billy rumbled and caught your hips with both hands, gripping hard, holding you still. "No movin', doll."
Your clit throbbed helplessly, completely neglected and you had to bite your lip to keep from whining pathetically, clenching your hands on your thighs.
"Breathe," he murmured, his beard tickling the curve of your neck as he leaned forward. You took a gulp of air, and then another, not even realizing you'd stopped.
Breathe.
Finally, you caught your breath and your lust lowered back to a simmer.
"That's a good girl fer me," Billy said, kneading your hips in reward but all you could do was groan at his praise and it made your cunt flutter around him again.
"Don't say that," you whimpered.
He gave a quiet laugh and patted your leg. "We'll have to keep practicin' this," he said low against the shell of your ear, then went back to watching the movie.
You slumped back against his broad chest again and his arm came around you. Instead of thinking about the way his cock was filling you, you tried to focus on letting your palm play over the little hairs on his forearm. After another 15 minutes, a hazy-sweet fog started to drift over your mind, some combination of dazed and still wildly turned on.
Anytime he moved it sent a jolt of pleasure through you but you were starting to get used to it, learning to let it soften into your body, banking it for later. After a while you couldn't even tell where he ended and you began, he was just a part of you.
At some point you must have completely spaced out, because you suddenly realized the tv was off. Billy was smoothing his hands slowly over your stomach and your thighs and your hips, still thick and big inside of you.
"Did I do it?" you murmured languidly.
Billy leaned closer, kissing the side of your neck, his mustache and his beard scratching sensitive skin spectacularly. "You did it. Such a good girl. My girl..."
You made a lilting, blissful sound and wrapped your fingers around his forearms, desperately needing to hold on to something.
"Think you can come for me now, pet?" His voice was gravelly and rough in your ear.
"Mmmm...mmhmm..." You gripped his arm tighter, unable to get your mind to even form another word. Every single worry was completely gone and you couldn't care less about anything except this right here.
Billy shifted underneath you, pushing his jeans further down his thighs and the movement made him thrust up into you.
You cried out, trembling with need, and he made a low sound to soothe you. "I've got ya, love. I'll take care now..."
It was too much to hold yourself up so you fell back against him and he rumbled approvingly. The vibration in his chest only added to your pleasure.
He pulled the edges of his shirt that you were wearing apart so you were totally exposed and tugged it down so your shoulders were bare but didn't bother taking it all the way off. Then he wrapped his hands around your bare waist and began to thrust up into you. "Fuck," he groaned. "Wasn't gonna last much longer either, love."
One of his big hands slid up to engulf your breast, kneading the weight of it in his palm then pinching your tight nipple between his thumb and forefinger. Your heart stuttered as you gasped for breath, every nerve lighting up. Billy knew how to make your body sing.
Lifting one arm, you curled it around him to thread your fingers through his hair and let your eyes flutter closed, just feeling him.
Every single thrust hit the right spot and made you whimper or moan or cry. Pleasure seemed to only crest higher and higher inside you, no limit in sight.
Within moments, as he had predicted earlier, you were on the brink of orgasm, but you wanted more, needed it. Grabbing at his hand on your waist, you pushed it down, guiding his fingers to where you were joined.
Billy moaned, his lips brushing the nape of your neck. "Mmmm, needy little thing, ain't ya..." he teased, but he deftly nestled two fingertips right over your swollen clit.
The second he started to circle over the throbbing nub your bliss heightened ten-fold...it had been left ignored for too long.
Your cries now were so much that you vaguely wondered if the neighbors would be concerned but there was nothing you could do, and Billy didn't seem to care at all.
His fingers slowed when he sensed you were almost there and he used his free hand to move your knees to the outside of his so he could push your legs farther apart with his own, wide open for him, and stuffed full.
Then his fingertips returned to their fast, slick circles with haste.
The eruption of your climax happened immediately. Your entire body tensed in pleasure, wave after wave crashed through you in relentless pulses as he continued to stroke your clit.
The growl Billy let loose against your shoulder in response was earth-shaking. You had never felt an orgasm this intense before and you could tell your thighs and his fingers and his cock were drenched.
"Fuckin' "ell," he groaned. He moved to grip your hips with both hands one last time, the fingers on one hand still slick with you, and he bucked up into you, rough and erratic as his own orgasm began.
Burying his face against the curve of your neck, he bit down, moaning, low and gruff.
Broken whimpers and unintelligible words fell from your lips as every sensation continued to bounce and ping through your body like a pinball machine.
You could feel his come, hot and thick, spurting deep inside you. It felt just as good as everything else this night.
By the end of it you were completely expended, weak in his lap. You wouldn't be able to move even if the apartment caught on fire.
Billy was slumped into the couch now too, but his arms were around you and he was still inside you.
You had no idea how long the two of you lazed there, but eventually Billy regained his strength.
You whimpered as he finally slid out of you then gathered you up in his arms.
Your own strength was long gone and it was not coming back. He carried you into the bathroom and you were too fucked out to even care he stayed. After he cleaned both of you up, he scooped you up again and set you on the bed. He found your favorite, softest long t-shirt to sleep in and tucked you in. In the next minute he was sliding under the blankets too and he hauled you against his chest.
"Alright love?" he murmured.
"Mmmmmm. Mmmhmmmm." You were nestled in his arms, his skin warm beneath you and your face pressed to his shoulder. You wanted to say thank you but you were pretty sure only a mumble of half-formed words came out. His hand rubbed soothingly over your back and you felt him nuzzle the top of your head only seconds before you were out.
You couldn't go to work the next day, much to Butcher's smug amusement.

Hey! I'm gonna take advantage of your charity and incredible talent and ask me some Silco stuff, and I will make it very personal.
Im just a sucker for angsty fluff, so I was thinking something in the lines of reader works either in some restaurant where Silco goes or actually works in the last drop. And she's just having a rough couple of days and Silco finds out about it and just wants to help (maybe he gets frustrated because of it all, and goes all Silco, you know what I mean? Damn I'm gonna shut up now). But we all know Silco is not the most affectionate man, or at least shows it in weird (?) ways. I feel like it would be better (?) if they didn't have a relationship yet. But I'll leave it to your brilliance to do as you please, I have complete trust in your skills.
But remember, you don't have to do this if you don't feel like it of course.
Anyway, to much information already. So good luck, love your work, that brain of yours and you in general â€ïžđđđ€
PS- do not allow me to make more requests, I will make them long, weird and I'll keep remembering more stuff to add and the next thing you know it's a full blown fic đ€Ł
Take All Your Sins
A/N: Thank you so much for your request, love!!! I was excited to do this one!!! This is going to be a two parter or MORE for SURE. <3 ilysm thank you again for your trust in me!!!
Summary: You work in the Last Drop and very close to Vander. What happens if Silco comes along and ruins that?
Pairing: Silco x Reader
WC: 1.4k
Warnings: Angst, sweet Silco, protective Vander, alcohol
Taglist Form | Arcane Masterlist
âIf you have something else to do, I can finish those.â You come into the doorway of the kitchen, nodding toward the dishes that heâs doing.Â
âI got âem. Almost done.â The older man smiles at you.
A few years ago, Vander gave you a place to stay when he found you out on the streets and ever since then, you were basically inseparable. His kids were like your own.Â
âRough night, huh?â Vander asks as you lean in the doorway, keeping an eye on the place in case more patrons came in.Â
The Last Drop is usually busy this time of night, especially on this day of the week. But itâs like a ghost town right now and you canât seem to figure out why.
âRough week.â You sigh, crossing your arms.Â
âDo you need a couple days off?â Vander asks, genuinely.
He always made sure you were taken care of, which you appreciate, but sometimes it feels like he does too much for others, and never lets anyone do anything for him. Youâre bound to change that though. His birthday is coming up and youâve been saving up for something special that will be from you and the kids.Â
âNah, Iâm-â You start but hear the door open.
âYou got it?â Vander asks and you nod with a grin and turn around to greet the customer, letting the kitchen door swing shut.
âWhat can I get ya?â You smile at the older man, who makes you do a subtle double take.
âWhiskey. Neat, please.â He smiles.Â
Heâs got dark hair, a partially scarred face, one blue eye and the other dark black with an orange iris that makes him look incredibly menacing. Heâs wearing an open, fancy peacoat with a buttoned vest and tie. Who the hell is this guy?
His eyes rake over you as you approach the bar where he sits.Â
âHavenât seen you before.â You smile, politely.Â
âI donât get out much.â He takes his coat off and sits it down on the stool next to him. âI⊠work a lot.âÂ
His voice is silky and you canât help but want to hear him say more.Â
âWhat do you do?â You ask as you pour his drink.Â
âI own my own business.â He tells you and takes the drink when you slide it to him.Â
The way he says it, makes you think he doesnât want to answer anymore questions about himself.Â
âWhatâs your name?â He asks softly.Â
You tell him and he takes a sip, keeping his blue eye on you. You smile softly, unsure of what to say.
âPretty name.â He tells you, after he finishes off his drink.Â
You go to pour him another but he puts his hand over his drink and shakes his head.
âThanks.â You put the bottle back down and then take the empty glass from him, sitting it in the sink. âWhatâs yours?âÂ
âSilco. Do you like working here?â He asks, not missing a beat.Â
You nod. âYeah, I do.âÂ
âAnd you like Vander?âÂ
You nod. âWho doesnât?âÂ
He chuckles, glancing around subtly. âWho doesnât, indeed?â
âWhat are you doing after work?â He asks.Â
Oh⊠of course. He thinks youâre going to put out-Â
âIâm not trying to fuck you.â He tells you, as if he can read your mind while he stands up and puts his coat back on.
âYouâre not?â You narrow your eyes at him.
âI mean, I wouldnât say no if you wanted to, but thatâs not why I asked.â He smirks.
You both stare at each other for a moment. His eyes fall to your lips before coming back up to your eyes.
âSo⊠the real reason is?â You cross your arms.
âI think youâre beautiful and Iâve not been on a proper date in years.â Silco shrugs, placing a hand on the back of the barstool.Â
You go warm in the face before looking down at his slender fingers and immediately canât help but wonder what theyâd feel like inside-
âIâll be by at 11.â He tells you, snapping your thoughts back to the present as he places a few cogs onto the bar.Â
âUm. Alright.â You nod, giving a kind smile.Â
He stares at you for another short moment before giving you a smile back and then leaving. Just as the door closes, Vander walks out and sees you staring at the door, breaking you out of the trance that Silco seemed to have put you in.
âEverything okay?â He asks, placing a hand on your shoulder.
You look up at him, smiling a little dreamily. Itâs not something youâre used to. Normally, when customers ask you out, you brush them off and pay them no mind. But Silco⊠he managed to get you to pay attention.Â
âAll good. Um⊠I have a date after work.â You go warm in the face at the word âdateâ.Â
Itâs not like you donât date⊠you do⊠just not consistently. The last date you went on was a year ago. It didnât go well so you decided to just focus on work.
âWith the customer that just came in? Who is he?â Vanderâs eyebrows raise in surprise, knowing that you havenât gone out with someone in a long time.
âJust⊠some guy.â You shrug, starting to wipe down the bar.Â
Vander chuckles. âAlright. Keep your secrets. I was young once, too.â
You laugh with him, your thoughts immediately going back to Silcoâs unmatching eyes and the way they softened at the sight of you.Â
âYou can go get ready if you want. I can finish here.â Vander smirks.Â
You roll your eyes. âThanks. I owe you.âÂ
âNah. Get outta here.â He nods toward the door that leads to the upstairs.Â
You pat him on the shoulder as you walk past him, heading upstairs to go shower. You look at the clock and see that it reads 9:30. That should give you plenty of time to get ready. You donât take particularly long showers.Â
As you turn on the water, you climb into the shower, letting the water flow over your body as you stand there for a moment before starting to wash your body and hair. You still canât stop thinking about the older man. He had to be about Vanderâs age, right? You wonder if they know each other. Perhaps after you get to know Silco a little more, youâll introduce them.Â
After your shower, you dry your hair the best you can and then settle on a dress that youâd saved up forever to buy just because. What better excuse to wear it than on a date with an extremely attractive, slightly intimidating, man?Â
At ten til 11, you make your way back down to the bar. Vander and Benzo both let out a whistle at the sight of you.
âDonât you clean up nice?â Vander grins.Â
You shrug, going warm in the face from the attention. âI guess.âÂ
You sit up on the bar stool next to Benzo. You glance over at the door and then back at Vander.Â
âDo you want something to loosen your nerves?â Vander teases.Â
âIâm alright, thanks.â You roll your eyes, amused.
âWhoâs this hot date with?â Benzo nudges you with his elbow.Â
You go warm in the face all over again, thinking about Silco. âJust some older guy⊠heâll be here any minute.âÂ
They accept that answer and continue their conversation from before about business stuff that you donât really mind yourself with. You pretty much just show up and do your job and do exactly what Vander tells you to do and then go back upstairs and sleep. And then repeat.Â
The door opens moments later, and the three of you look up to find Silco walking in. You canât help but give him a sweet smile. He smirks at you and pauses by the door.
âAre you ready-â He starts.
âSilco.â Vander growls.Â
âHello, Vander.â Silcoâs eyes fall past you to the man behind you. âLovely establishment you have here.â
You turn to Vander, confused. âYou know each other?â
âOh yes, we do.â Silco walks toward you, wrapping an arm around your lower back, looking you up and down. âYou look beautiful, darling.âÂ
âSheâs not going anywhere with you.â Vander comes around the bar and starts toward Silco but Benzo gets up quickly from the stool and stops him.Â
You look between Silco and Vander, still confused.
âI think thatâs for her to decide.â Silco smirks up at Vander who stands almost a foot above him.
You turn to Vander, with furrowed brows. This man is the one who gave you life again, the man who is like a father to you. The man you owe your life to. If he says you shouldnât go⊠then shouldnât you listen to him?

Every Move You Make
MDNI John Price x Fem!Reader | your husband likes to watch you
Inspired by @the-californicationist who so graciously tagged me with the idea "Price comes home and watches you finger yourself." Teehee c:
WC: ~900 (this is entirely not proofread it might be a bit shit i'm so sorry)
CW: none, really. just mutual masturbation and piv
At last, you allow yourself to melt onto your sheets. Freshly showered and free from work for the day. You should have two hours until your husband makes it home. More than enough time to help yourself release a bit of⊠pent-up tension. You wriggle your pants off, graceless in your exhaustion, and begin circling your fingers gently over your clit. No need to rush.
Youâre finally in the throes of your pleasure, that slow build of warmth and electricity in your core just beginning to culminate into something absolutely delicious, whenâ
You jolt at the shift in weight at the end of the bed. Eyes flying open, you lock gazes with your husband, one knee resting on the mattress but otherwise preternaturally still, like a wolf waiting for his prey to bolt. Heâs early.
âJohn,â you pant.
âSorry, love. Didnât mean to startle you.â His rumbling voice is almost as dangerous as the smile slowly spreading across his face. âDonât stop on my account.â He moves slowly, sinking his other knee into the bed and shifting forward until your thighs lay over his.Â
You donât move, enthralled by the look on your husbandâs face. Heâs so very hungry.
Normally, John would have slapped your hands aside by now and taken over for you. Wasnât that one of the benefits of having a partner? Orgasms that you didnât have to give yourself?Â
He raises an eyebrow, looking between your face and your glistening cunt, âWell? I want to see the show I almost missed out on,â he grumbles.
Ah, it was going to be like that today.
Your fingers dip into the slick arousal pooling at your entrance before returning to dance over your clit. Your eyes never leave Johnâs face, but his stare is fixed upon the movements of your hand, licking his chops. He hums, big hands stroking over the sensitive skin of your thighs, soothing you like a wild animal. Heâs burning you alive, you just know it. Every nerve ending lights up at his touch like iron filings following the pull of a magnet. Thereâs no stopping the moan that crawls out of your throat, and your pussy clenches pitifully around nothing.Â
Empty, empty, empty.
You need your husband. You need your John inside you.Â
When youâre finally considering begging, you watch him bend his head forward. âStop,â he says.Â
âThank fuck,â you think. At last, your husband is going to take care of it, and you can relaxâ
You hear him spit. You feel wetness land on your clit and meander down to your opening.
âAlright,â he whispers with a short nod, âContinue.â
You blink at him owlishly, frustration building with each pulse of arousal through your swollen clit. Itâs only now that you realise John has shucked his work trousers down to the mid-thigh without your notice, one large hand fisted tightly around his cock. You tease yourself again, this time with the wet gift he has provided you, and his hand starts to move.
You stop. He stops. You speed up, he speeds up.
He smirks, a low chuckle escaping him. He looks like a dragon billowing smoke. âThank you for finally catching on, love, I was worried youâd leave me to play all by myself.â That smile from earlier turns into a full-on grin, just a little too toothy to be innocent.Â
Dangerous, your husband.
Thatâs okay. Youâve always liked it when he puts those teeth around your neck.
âDonât worry, darling,â you sigh. His eyes snap to your face for a moment at your words, before they focus back on his prize. âIâll always play with you,â you croon. Your free hand trails a path from your knee to your centre, one fingertip circling lazily around your entrance. Your husbandâs eyes narrow viciously.Â
âDonât,â he growls. His hand stills on the base of his cock, watching. Waiting. Hunting.
You laugh and thrust two fingers inside yourself.
You barely get to crook them before John snaps, massive paw wrenching your hands from your flesh, notching himself against your cunt before sliding home in one smooth stroke. Youâre not laughing now. Youâre shrieking.Â
âYou little fucking minx, you just couldnât help yourself. Are you happy?â He asks, the weight of his hips pinning you open beneath him like a butterfly under glass. Youâre grinning like the cat that got the cream, cheeks burning with mirth. Your husband chuckles darkly at the sight.
âOf course youâre fucking happy.â John pulls out until heâs barely inside of you, âCan never let me sit back and watch, can you? Always so desperate to have your husband inside of you.â He drives his point home with a brutal thrust, and you wail at the feeling of his tip popping past the tight ring of muscles just behind your entrance.Â
âYes,â you cry. âAlways want you inside, need you insideâŠâ Your words trail off into moans, clawing at Johnâs shoulders until his entire body is draped on top of you, crushing you into the mattress. It takes barely a minute before youâre bearing down on his cock with a blinding orgasm.
You let your wolf devour you that night.

So I rewatched "Our Town" last night and when I sat down at my laptop this morning to do something that was not writing, I ended up writing instead. These things happen. Just a silly fluffy-ish little thing because omg that ep is so gross and also Scully has to be getting sick of being abducted all the time. Mulder feels the same way.
She canât sleep. Itâs not every day you almost get beheadedâeven after everything that sheâs already been through this year, it seems there are still things that can shake her up pretty badly. She rolls over on the lumpy motel mattress and tries to get comfortable. For a glorious moment, she considers quitting. Handing Skinner her resignation and walking away, finding a nice job with regular hours where people wonât handcuff her to radiators, stick her in closets, contort their stretchy bodies through cracks in her bathroom window, or drive her around in the trunks of their cars before handing her over to aliens or the government or whatever theory Mulderâs going with right now. A job where she wonât spend the end of a work day strapped into a metal harness as a guy in a mask raises an ax above her head.
In her mind she pictures a simple life: a nice house with a yard, a dog greeting her as she opens the door and walks inside after a long day at the hospitalâŠno, a private practice? A day of teaching? Whatever sheâs been doing, she walks into a kitchen that smells like home-cooked dinner, leaning up to kiss her faceless husband whoâs vaguely Mulder-shaped. âHoney, Iâm home!â âDinnerâs almost ready! How was your day?â âFine. Narrowly avoided decapitation. Nothing exciting.â Fuck. Not even fantasy-Scully can escape the absurdity of this life.
The knock on her door doesnât even surprise her. She already knows who it is. He stopped waking her unless itâs something really important, so she groans and gets up, her bones aching, weeping inwardly as she makes her way to the door. So she canât sleep; that doesnât mean she wants to spend the night going over their case report or whatever that infuriatingly charming insomniac wants from her this time.
But when she opens the door, he doesnât look as if he wants to go over case reports. He looks like shit. As much as thatâs even possible for him. Another thing thatâs simply unfair about her life, she thinks with a sigh. Even with bags under his eyes and pale as a sheet he still looks beautiful. âMulder?â she says.
He doesnât answer, just steps right into her and pulls her into a wordless hug, so tight sheâs a little afraid heâll crack her ribs. She hugs him back weakly and pats his back, not quite sure what else to do since she has no idea what the fuck heâs even doing. She expects him to pull back, but he just keeps holding on, and sheâs genuinely having trouble breathing.
âUh, Mulder?â she says again, a little louder.
âYouâre okay,â he mumbles into her hair, and she wiggles in his arms, trying to loosen his grip.
âNot for much longer if you donât let go.â
âSorry.â He drops his arms and takes a step back, but keeps looking at her like heâs never seen her before. âSorry, I justââ
âItâs fine,â she says. âDid you have a bad dream?â
He shakes his head. âI couldnât sleep.â
âYeah.â She grimaces. âMe neither. Itâs beenâŠa day.â
âAre you sure youâre okay?â he asks, and she laughs. Sheâs too tired not to.
âThanks to your timely rescue, my head is still firmly attached to my body.â It sounds a little bitter, and sheâs surprised at herself before she feels another little piece of her frustration clicking into place. Ah, yes, she thinks. Thereâs that too. Rescued once again. She makes a mental note: fantasy-Scully in her little imaginary suburban nine-to-five utopia will never have to be rescued. Sheâs gonna be the one doing all the rescuing. Except nobody needs to be rescued in that perfect little world, because nothing bad ever happens to anyone.
âYou donât sound okay,â Mulder says, and she closes her eyes for a second. Sheâs not annoyed with him, she reminds herself. Itâs not his fault that she became part of these townsfolksâ dinner plans, and itâs not his fault that she needed him to keep that from happening.
âIâm just a little tired.â
âIâll let you sleep.â He sounds exhausted and when she looks at him, she sees leftover fear in his eyes. âNo more interruptions, I promise.â
Her hand reaches out for his before sheâs fully conscious of what sheâs doing. Itâs just that heâs here and sheâs had enough of being Agent Scully for tonight, and he really looks so much like Doctor Scullyâs faceless dinner-cooking husband in her nice little fantasy home. âCome on,â she says.
âWhat are youââ
âBed,â she explains, hoping he wonât ask any more questions.
âOh. Okay.â
She gets in on her side and is relieved when he lies down next to her without another word. She closes her eyes, but she can feel him stock-still as a statue next to her, she can feel the tension radiating off of him, and, hell, it sounds like heâs even trying to breathe without making a sound. So she grabs his arm and rolls onto her side, tugging him with her until he has his back against her chest, and she holds firmly onto his hand and snuggles back into him.
âScully?â he asks, sounding a little confused.
âRelax, Mulder,â she tells him. âSleep.â
âAre you sure?â
âAbout sleeping?â
âYou know what I mean.â
She laughs and squeezes his fingers. âNo. Of course not. But honestly? I really donât care right now.â
âOkay,â he says, and he gets it, she knew heâd get it. âOkay,â he repeats, and laces their fingers together. She feels him lift his head, feels his hot breath against the side of her face, and then a gentle kiss against the corner of her eye. âGood night, Scully.â
âGood night, Mulder.â
Behind her closed eyelids, fantasy Scully lies just like this with her faceless partner, whoâs just as warm and smells just as good as real Scullyâs friend-partner spooned up behind her. The only difference is that her own real Mulder isâŠwell, real. No matter how perfect her beautiful little dream house with her beautiful perfect husband may be, she kind of prefers snuggling with someone who has a face and a name. And maybe sheâd actually miss the mess.
Not all of it. Not the ax-swinging, homicidal maniacs or the lumpy motel mattresses. But a partner who knocks on her door in the middle of the night because he couldnât sleep without making sure she was okay? Who sleeps wrapped around her with his breath ruffling the hair at the back of her neck, knowing this isnât leading anywhere other than comfort and friendship? AndâŠshe kisses the backs of his fingers once she convinces herself heâs probably asleepâŠa vague hope that maybe this wonât always be all there is between them?
Yeah. Sheâll take it.

Me, Us, and You
Synopsis: You've been used one too many times, and find comfort in the arms of those you love.
Foul Legacy x Reader Pronouns: Gender Neutral (no pronouns mentioned) Genre: Hurt/Comfort, Comfort Warnings: Mentions of being used as an emotional outlet
~ * ~
âHey⊠why do people like using me?â Foul Legacy looks up from the chunk of crystal he was batting around, tilting his head curiously. You catch his gaze, inquisitive and concerned, and sigh. ââŠSorry. Itâs nothing.â He frowns with a quiet trill. Not good- heâs seen this habit before, your way of pushing down your emotions, never speaking a word. Legacy shakes out his fur, rising to his feet and crossing the room before plopping down beside you, chittering in worry. His claws knead against the carpet, nudging and pushing up against you gingerly until you finally huff out a laugh and weakly shove him back. ââŠYou get what I mean." He does. Far too well. Heâs seen it happen, from behind a corner as Childe; idly twirling a coin between his fingers, walking up to meet you at your favorite restaurant, or merely happening to pass by on the street.
One, two, three. Then more. The number of times that youâve been treated as a mere outlet. Youâre too kind for your own good, too patient, too understanding. Why canât you get angry? Why donât you tell off the people who start using you as an object to vent their emotions to- or at least tell them no? Instead you just smile and nod, offer your advice even when you donât know what to say since you donât even know your own feelings and what they mean, but you try so, so hard to lift them up, help them feel strong, better, braver. And they do. They smile again, nod, laugh. Sometimes they take your advice, sometimes they just want someone to agree with them. Whatever the case, they leave lighter, and you leave with a new burden in your arms. Itâs fine. You donât mind carrying it for them, as long as theyâre happier- you insist that it makes you happy if they are, too. But inside it still hurts, knowing you only exist when someone needs you to listen. When you need to fulfil a certain role or do something for someone.
They started getting used to it, too. Pulling you into conversations as innocently as a lamb only to pour forth a tidal sea of issues and frustration. They cry and rant and yell and scream and then pat you on the back with a smile with a see you soon and talk to you later. One even paused, looking at your tapping fingers, your focused expression, and told you to write things down. So you could remember them for later, if more things came up- we wouldnât want you to forget, now would we? A pause, a strained smile, as you fished a notebook and pencil from your bag. It made dread coil in your chest, a heavy weight over your heart. Thatâs right. You only matter as long as you have use.
Thereâs a croon, and you blink, shaken from your daze. Foul Legacy stares down at you, crystalline eye wide and anguished. No. No, no, no- he hates that you think of yourself like that, as someone, something to be used. He crawls towards you, cupping your face in his claws and letting out a soft, saddened warble. His wings twitch and flutter, curling in your direction as if he wants nothing more than to cuddle you close and shield you from all the dreadful things in the world, because he does, his instincts scratching at his skull and hissing, biting, gnashing the source of your hurt, trying to vanquish it in battle and make it disappear. Protect. Heal. Love.
Legacy squeezes you a bit tighter, pressing your head against his lavender fluff, grown soft with how much you brush and fawn over it. You think heâs beautiful- youâve told him before, time and time again. Beautiful, lovely, wonderful- why canât you see how amazing you are, too? How much you help, how much you matter? Even if anyone else canât see past their own nose, he knows how much you deserve to be showered with gratitude and affection. His gentle nuzzles shift and crackle lightly, turning to soft skin, scarred hands massaging your arms. Childe presses his forehead to yours, his despair on par with Foul Legacyâs, murmuring frantic words of reassurance filled with tears. Nothing, nothing, nothing. Thatâs all you ever call your feelings, your wants and needs. Youâve spent so long supporting others that you canât even remember anything you desire, truly, nothing at all. He caresses your cheek, looking deep into your eyes with an oceanic gaze. Please, tell him something you want. Anything. Please. You shudder, and desperately reach your arms to him. Childe meets you halfway, wrapping you in a firm, tight hug and pressing his face against your shoulder.
He wants to give you everything, yet he knows what you need most is someone you can just exist with, not to help, not to complete a task for them, but just to be in their- his- presence. If you listen to his woes, ever, not even the Archons would be able to stop him from listening to yours, because you deserve it. Friendships go both ways, the world seems to have forgotten. Childe was your friend first, and heâs your friend now, and your love, your Harbinger, your sweet, monstrous Foul Legacy, and he adores you with every fiber of his being. Childe peppers kisses over your face, one hand human, the other armored talons, both him and his Abyssal half comforting you. Yes, they get what you mean. They get what you mean all too well, aching and weeping and watching you suffer again and again, wringing yourself dry for people who toss you away once their problems are solved.
But not with them. Never again with Childe and Legacy, forever by your side. You have no tears left to cry, but they still hush you, gently. Shh, shh⊠itâs alright. Everything will be okay. Childe sighs as he pulls away, tracing your features with a finger and holding back his own sobs, steadying his voice against his resentment towards the world for your treatment. âTalk to me. Talk to us. Please.â For us, we love you so.

Billie Eilish x Fem!reader
Warnings: excessive whining, billie is mean?? reader is a brat, obvi
Synopsis: you havenât seen billie âallll weekâ, itâs finally her off day, which usually consists of silence but, your trailer is small, over pink, and youâre just a brat
Billie dragged herself through the front door, every muscle in her body screaming for rest. She barely had time to remove her shoes before she heard Y/Nâs whiny voice calling out from the living room.
âBiiilliiieeee,â Y/N whined dramatically. âWhere have you been? Iâve been waiting forever. You never take me anywhere.â
Billie paused, taking a deep breath to center herself before responding. Sheâd had a long dayâone of those days where everything felt like it had piled up, and all she wanted was to sit in silence for a few hours. âIâve been out, Y/N. I told you, Iâm tired.â
Y/N didnât care. She flounced over to Billie, face twisted into a pout, hands placed on her hips in a way that told Billie this wouldnât be easy. âI donât care,â she whined. âIâve been sitting here all day, bored out of my mind. You promised me youâd do something with me today.â
Billieâs frustration flared, her eyes narrowing. âIâve been working all day, Y/N. Iâm not some damn personal assistant whoâs at your beck and call.â
Y/N scoffed, clearly unimpressed. âWell, you should be. Youâre my girlfriend. Itâs your job to make me happy,â she shot back, her voice rising with bratty defiance.
Billieâs jaw clenched as she stepped closer, trying to keep her cool. âThatâs not how this works, and you know it. Iâve been running on empty all day. The least you could do isââ
âYouâre so selfish!â Y/N cut her off, stamping her foot in a huff. âI want to do something fun, and youâre just sitting there, acting like Iâm bothering you.â
Billieâs patience snapped. âIâm not bothering you. Youâre the one acting like a spoiled brat who canât stand not getting everything she wants,â she shot back, her voice sharp. âIâm tired, and I canât just turn it off because youâre throwing a tantrum.â
Y/N crossed her arms, still pouting. âIâm not throwing a tantrum. Iâm just saying, I want you to care more,â she muttered, sticking out her lower lip. âYou used to care. But now, youâre all busy and annoyed with me all the time.â
Billie took a deep breath, stepping back to put some distance between them. She was frustrated, but Y/N was pushing every button. âI do care, Y/N,â she snapped, her tone biting. âBut you canât just expect everything to be about you all the time. I need space, too. Youâre being ridiculously demanding.â
Y/Nâs eyes watered a little, and she dropped her arms to her sides, her voice now tinged with a whiny desperation. âYouâre being so mean, Billie. I just wanted us to do something together. I donât ask for muchâŠâ
Billie ran her hands through her hair, trying to calm down. She could hear the subtle edge of guilt in Y/Nâs voice, but that didnât excuse her behavior. âI get it. You want attention. But I canât give it to you every second of every day. Sometimes, I just need a break.â Her voice softened, though the frustration still lingered. âAnd the whining⊠I canât deal with it right now.â
Y/N let out a shaky breath, a tear slipping down her cheek. âYou donât want me anymore.â
Billie groaned, feeling the weight of her exhaustion mixed with guilt. She closed the distance between them and cupped Y/Nâs face gently. âThatâs not it, okay? I just canât always be on your schedule. You need to learn that sometimes, itâs not all about you.â
Y/N sniffled, still clearly upset, but she nodded. âI just want to feel important to you,â she whispered, looking down.
Billie sighed, pulling her close and resting her forehead against hers. âYou are important to me,â she murmured. âBut youâve gotta stop pushing me like this. Iâm not some toy to entertain you whenever you feel like it.â
Y/N stayed quiet for a moment, and then whispered, âIâm sorry. I just⊠I hate when youâre mad at me.â
Billie sighed again, kissing the top of Y/Nâs head. âIâm not mad, baby. Just frustrated. And you have to stop acting like everything is always about you.â
Y/N nodded, still clinging to her, and Billie couldnât help but soften. âNext time, no more tantrums. Okay?â she asked, her tone more gentle.
âOkay,â Y/N mumbled, her voice small but sincere.
Billie hugged her tighter, knowing this wouldnât be the last time Y/N pushed her buttons. But for now, she could at least relax and hopefully get some peace. Even if it meant tolerating a little bit of bratty attitude here and there.

a softie for sentimentality, bakugou katsuki.
Bakugou wears a bracelet. Youâve known about it for as long as you could remember, but only decided to acknowledge it now that youâre in your third year at UA, two weeks before graduation.
It wasnât flashy or adorned with any kind of logoâjust a simple, sturdy piece of metal with a stainless clasp that he seemed to wear all the time. You tilted your head as you studied it.
âYouâve had that bracelet for as long as I can remember,â you said, sitting down on his study chair. Itâs a privilege to even set foot inside of his room without immediately being told (yelled) off, really.
Bakugou looked up from his book and glanced at you. âYeah, and?â
âIs there, like, a story behind it?â
âNo story,â he said with a shrug, but you werenât entirely convinced.
âReally? Thatâs so bland. I thought thereâd be like a gut-wrenching or life-changing story for it.â
He sat up from his bed with a huff, his eyes narrowing at you. âItâs just somethinâ I wear. Whatâs it to you?â
You raised your hands in mock surrender, a playful smile on your lips. âAlright, Mr. Mysterious. Keep your secrets.â
âFuck off, dipshit.â
âAgain with that! Why canât you be nicer now that weâre graduating?â
âShut up,â he grumbled.
-
But the conversation stuck to you.
Itâs the day of graduation when you presented him with a small, handmade box. It was simple, made of sturdy cardboard decorated with his signature colors and an orange ribbon to match. Bakugou rose a brow.
âWhatâs this for?â He asks, holding it up like the box might explode at any given moment, though there was no bite to it.
âA box.â
âNo shit,â he scoffs, âwhatâs in it?â
âOpen it to find out!â You egged him on.
Bakugou sighs, opening the box with a focused pout. He went quiet when he saw what was inside.
âTa-da! A bracelet,â you said, smiling. âFor you. Thought you could use something new to switch things up.â
He held the stringed bracelet in his hand, looking at the material as if it would erupt in flames if he glared hard enough. It was a stark contrast to his metal oneâbrightly colored warm complementary beads with little charms that somehow still managed to feel like him. There was a red charm shaped like an explosion, a black bead with a skull design, and a small silver charm with an engraved kanji for âstrength.â
âIâm not wearing this,â he said flatly.
Itâs like your cartoonish heart balloon had suddenly been popped with a prickly needle.
âWhat? Why not? Itâs cool!â you argued. âI even made it myself to really match you!â
âItâs not my style.â
âSure it is. Look, itâs got black, silver, and even a little redâit screams Bakugou Katsuki.â
âI didnât get you anythinâ as a parting gift,â he tells you.
âDonât worry about it! Itâs fine,â you replied, waving your hand in dismissal. âJust thought thisâll go with your metal bracelet.â
He nodded, though there was a somewhat frustrated pout on his expression, muttering something under his breath a soft âthanks,â and placed the gift back in the box, never actually letting you see him wearing it during that moment.
-
Years later, during a photoshoot for the yearly hero gala, Bakugou stood in front of the camera in his full Dynamight suit. The photographer adjusted the lights, snapping rapid shots as Bakugou struck his signature confident poses.
âHold still,â the stylist said, adjusting his gauntlet slightly. Her eyes flicked to his wrist, and she paused. âOh, thatâs cute. Is that handmade?â
Bakugou blinked, following her gaze. Wrapped around his wrist, right next to his ever-present metal bracelet, was the colorful string bracelet you had made him all those years ago.
He stiffened slightly, but instead of taking it off, he shrugged. âYeah. What about it?â
The stylist smiled warmly. âItâs a nice touch. Makes you seem... approachable. And quite frankly, it matches your suit.â
Bakugou snorted. âWhatever. Letâs get this over with.â
-
When the photos surfaced online, fans quickly noticed the bracelet. Social media practically exploded that day.
Is Dynamight wearing a friendship bracelet??
A HANDMADE BRACELET ON DYNAMIGHT??
Guys, heâs worn this thing for YEARS. Check the old pictures! đââïž
You, of course, caught wind of the newsâbecause honestly, who wouldnât when it took all social media platforms by storm? You saw the posts one evening while scrolling through your phone. Your heart skipped a beat when you saw the photos. It was unmistakableâthe bracelet you had made all those years ago.
Long after your UA days were behind you and your lives had taken you and Bakugou down different paths, the all-too-familiar bracelet made you smile sadlyâmore nostalgic happiness than actual sadness, really.
You stared at the screen, sighing quietly. You thought back to the last time youâd spoken, to the unspoken decision that had pulled you in different directions. You never thought something as small as a bracelet would still mean anything to him.
You didnât even think youâd live to see the day he wears it, much less keep it after the years.
But there it was, bright and unapologetic on his wrist, a subtle reminder of a bond that hadnât completely faded with time.
Somewhere across the city, Bakugou stood on a rooftop, the evening wind tugging at his hero uniform. He glanced down at the bracelet on his wrist, running his thumb over the frayed edges of the string. He smirked to himself, a quiet acknowledgment of the past and the person whoâd given it to him.
âGuess you were right,â he muttered, his voice barely audible over the wind. âIt does scream Bakugou Katsuki.â
