I have never personally understood why so many people ship hockey players, but that dressing gifset certainly is... hmm... Compelling. Hmm.

Listen. LISTEN rpf in general is one of my squicks and the only reason I know anything about hockey rpf is because the boyfriend got overly curious about what could possibly be on AO3 about our fave players and we spent probably a good three hours Yes Anding each other about the tags on those fics (God bless the AO3 filtering system). There are maybe ten writers throughout any fandom I've ever been in who I would not mind reading their rpf.

That being said.

Sid and Nate are never beating the allegations. No matter how much Jon Cooper says they've got an older brother younger brother relationship. No matter how much the TNT crew hypes them up as idol/fan turned friends.

Any time they're together they're being weird about each other in a very compelling way and I'm very much a fan of it.

(also hockey players are somehow like the most homoerotic about their relationships out of any of the organized sports. so. there's that. or maybe it's the blood sweat spit and tears - and teeth - that inevitably end up all over the ice every game that people are particularly drawn to)
