this user watched "The Master and Margarita" (2024) and she hopes that whenever this movie gets a digital release, it also gets english subtitles, because honestly, this was the best movie I've watched in the past few years

#the master and margarita #there's a thing I have to admit: I love british/hollywood adaptations of russian literature #because in russia those books are treated like sacred texts #which turns every adaptation into a blind word-to-word depiction of a novel #and the soul or the main idea quite often gets lost or covered in all of it #side note: I absolutely loved that in credits they wrote august diehl's name in the latin alphabet #like that's actually an amazing idea to use the native language of an actor to mention them. cheffs kiss #(I'm sure someone have done this before that's just the first time I saw it. so)#personall stuff
