Note
Hey. Hey what if Zhao meets Lucifer in the spider kid au. What if Ik has to deal with the fact that her secret identity and her civilian identity are clashing in the worst way possible
Sees Lucifer talking with her dad while he's in hero costume: No. This cannot be
oh that's perfect. ik sneaks back home after finishing up some hero stuff only to see fellow hero morningstar (who is SUPPOSED to be at hq filing an incident report) leaving HER house
her instinct is to go "what the hell are you doing here??" but she's not in costume, and lucifer evidently doesn't recognise her because he very awkwardly goes "sorry, am i in the way" steps to the side to let her get to the front door. he does not explain what he, government mandated hero, is doing in a random civilian's house, but he does look like he's in a very good mood
ik hopes very hard that this is a fluke. it is not a fluke. morningstar is at her house AGAIN barely a week later and this time it's while she's at home, so she has to pretend to be very surprised and mildly starstruck when she walks into the kitchen and sees the guy she saved the city with barely a day ago. her dad explains that he's a very nice hero who's just checking up in the aftermath of stopping a dude robbing their house. ik is not fooled because morningstar has brought fucking FLOWERS and he is being about as subtle as a boulder rolling down a hill
from lucifer's pov, however, zhao's daughter clearly is suspicious of/dislikes him to some degree. understandable, she's at that anti-establishment age, and he is a government mandated hero. still, he'd like to get along with the kid for.... wherever it is this is going, and she seems to be about the same age as the vigilante he works with, so....
this results in lucifer offhandedly asking ik-as-spiderkid for advice in getting along with herself, and ik doesn't know whether to be amused by mr normally-aloof-and-prideful stooping to this level, or absolutely horrified by this entire situation
