something I did learn after some conversations and googling after this poll is that us whiskey haters aren't insane it does just taste like drinking a glass of jet fuel to us. bc it has to do with genetics and the amount of bitterness receptors you have. people with less often can't taste bitterness and these are the fuckers that insist whiskey tastes like caramel

#side note anyone in the notes like YALL JUST HAVEN'T HAD GOOD WHISKEY #no I've had everything from old crow (dirt) to the high end shit and let me tell you #all tastes literally the exact same. it's like jet fuel.#I felt like I was being gaslit as the ppl at the tasting were like ooooh I taste hints of marshmallow #I TASTE HINTS OF GASOLINE WHAT ARE YOU TAAAAALKING ABOUT #anyway. yeah apparently it's to do with genetics which I think is hilarious #my genetics said fuck you you will never be the cool old man that drinks whiskey straight #I only like whiskey in an old fashioned or very unfortunately if it's skrewball which is humiliating
