Kohaku wakes up early. By the time your eyes open to see the world draped in sunlight, he’s already up and sometimes, even, ready to go. Yet, he’s still asleep, while the world has once again been draped by the sun’s soft embrace. A smile makes its way to your lips; he’s strangely peaceful. An idea pops into your mind not soon after rubbing your eyes open- oh, it’s the perfect time for a little prank. You didn’t even need to get up for this one. 

When it seemed he would wake up, which, luckily, did not take long, you put your hands over his eyes. You greeted him good morning, in which he responded with his own “mornin’...” and you asked “Guess who?” 

“Whad’ya mean, who’s this?” he asks, confused. He asks if it was you, and you take your hands off his face. You giggle. Oh, maybe you should’ve done this later in the day. 

SHIRATORI AIRA

You closed the door as quietly as you could. If Aira wasn’t home, you’d be damned. Well, not really, but if he wasn’t home, it would’ve been weird for you to be walking as quietly as you could in your own home, alone. You looked around for him, being as quiet as you could possibly be. You found him in the living area, immersed in studying choreography. Only you could hear the hops from your feet as you made your way over to him and quickly covered his eyes before you could be seen.

“Uuwaah!” 

“Hehe, who do you think it is?” 

It took him a moment. He stood there as the music went on, but before long, he had realized it was you. 

“Gosh, don’t scare me like that!”

AKEHOSHI SUBARU

You hadn’t told Subaru that you were there- backstage, at the Trickstar live. You told him that you’d be there, but you didn’t say where in the venue. It was really interesting, seeing the live from someplace other than the front. It was easier to see everything that went into it; everyone’s work was ever so apparent, and it made for a whole new experience. 

The plan was to surprise him backstage, but was it too plain to just appear? Then, if the rest of Trickstar didn’t spoil your plan (that they didn’t know about), you could probably pull it off. 

The concert ended before you knew it; they say that time flies when you’re having fun, and that was the case for everyone who was there.  You hid yourself behind one of the props that was tall enough to cover you, and as soon as Subaru passed by, you brought your hands up to his eyes, and the words “Guess who?” reached Subaru’s ears.

“Hm? I wonder… hehe,” he said, before gently removing your hands from his eyes and kissing your cheek.

Hiiro Amagi

•Him as your spouse? Ah! Whenever the light seeped from the window to alert you the day’s started, he’d stir awake from his slumber. Unlike his energetic and curious self, he’d take in a moment to stare at you, reaching his hands to touch the face who always faced him whenever you’re asleep. But when he was about to touch the skin, he was afraid he might wake you up instead. So he kept it to himself, staring at you before getting ready.

•When you’re awake, you’d already see him at the table eating breakfast and getting ready to go out. He’s already prepared, taken a shower, eating breakfast—whilst you barely took a shower yet, and hadn’t eaten breakfast. You always woke up in time before he left just to see him off before going back to your bed and sleeping some more.

•”How’s your sleep?” he’d be the type to ask you that every morning without getting bored. He stood up from the breakfast table and walked towards you like usual, with a smile blazing his face before he set off to the world of idols. He wouldn’t exactly kiss you out of the blue unless you initiated him, because he wouldn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable. So he’d just offer a hug and go out.

•He didn’t exactly understand Valentine's things, and what you’re supposed to do. But he did know about gifting to partners from Aira. So every time he’s done with work, he’d go to some shops trying to figure out which gift would you like to receive. Though he didn’t exactly know why valentines are special when he get to spend everyday with you.

•He hoped you liked the gift he got for you. Though, he wasn’t sure if the gift had been a good idea from the start. Since almost everyday, he seemed to get home gifting you with snacks, or anything he found.

•And when he arrived back at his house, the first thing he did was call out your name and announced he’s home, something done occasionally just to let you know he’s here and you’re no longer alone in the house/apartment (whichever you preferred). Though, all work would’ve sucked normal people’s energy, he didn’t seem the least bit tired from the day. Instead, he seemed to be more elated with the gift and the thought of seeing your reaction.

•You came to him, which he’d give the gift to you with the happy grin he’d always show. “I don’t know what’s the best gift for valentine since I don’t think there’s anything more special than being with you everyday. But here, I hope you’ll find it to be of good use. Happy valentine, (Name).” He gestured the gift to your holds, which you accepted.

•During the night, he’d snuggle up against you, head in the crook of your neck as he tried to search for comfort and warmth reserved specially for him. He’d never get bored of your scent calmly alluring him to sleep. Ending the day with a thankful praise to the universe for letting him to end the day with you, he’s looking forward to starting the day with you again the next day.

Aira Shiratori

•You have that one kind of Kpoper spouse. Well, not exactly Kpoper since he’s more of a Japanese Idols’ fan, but he’d be the type to introduce you to his idols and you both would sometimes late at night watch concerts together, arms locked together and hands intertwined as he sang praises.

•Once you caught him asleep in the middle of his fangirling session and decided to cover him up in warm blanket, trying to be careful not to wake him up from his sleep.

•When you both decided to sleep on the bed, he’d never let you go from his grasp, always holding onto you until he’s awake the next day.

•You're usually the first to wake up. Always opening your eyes and huffing a gentle smile as you saw Aira peacefully drifted off into his slumber. Knowing how he’s a light sleeper, you couldn’t exactly move a lot, or else he might’ve been woken up by the bed rustling movements.

•He’d started the day with cuddles on bed, a light kiss after breakfast, and his usual beams of love reserved for you. No matter how old they might be, he’s never too old to tell you his “Love you”s. He then set off to work, already missing the bed and your embrace even if it’s not a minute to work yet.

•Though, to him, love is everyday, he’d find valentines to be especially extraordinary—he tried to finish his works early just so he could have time to find some gifts on shops and give them to you, spend time on bed with TV on with you whilst holding onto each other’s hands like usual.

•And so, he rushed all his work, went to the shop and went through a dilemma breakdown as he couldn’t decide which one should he give, went back to his home and smiled and announced his presence. “I’m home, (Name)!”

•He’d be rushing towards you, giving you the gift and wanting to see the reactions you had, anticipating as you pulled out the neatly wrapped gift. “Happy valentine day, (Name)! Though everyday is special, days like these are extraordinary since I just want to spend time with you watching movies until late at night. I love~!”

imagine being online friends with them!! you all talk about idols and stuff for years before you all stop talking for unknown reasons. you wished you could talk to them again, but life probably caught up to them and they’re handling personal business. you’ve been busy too, handling school and taking on jobs as a producer. it’s been your dream to work with idols, ever since you were young. you remember love-swan wanted to be an idol, and while he wasn’t as passionate as love-swan, you could also remember the occasional hopes that sakura made about being an idol too. you really hoped that you would be able to work with them, but you quickly shake the thought off. you don’t even know if they were able to become idols. you don’t even know what they look like!! well, if they did become idols, maybe you’d finally be able to meet them in person… again, you have to take a minute to regain your focus. you have a job to finish, and you want to do your best. after all, it’s your first job working with idols directly. but still, in the back of your mind, you wished so badly to be able to meet them, even if it was for work.

a/n I know Aira's bday was a bit ago but I feel like celebrating it again. Newbie Idol AU.

💝Present for You ~ Aira💝

"Oooh! Newbie!" Aira's eyes light up as he turns in your direction, "You came to celebrate my birthday!" He rushes over to you and clasps your hand in his.

You distantly hear Tori yelling about being ignored and interrupted but that can wait. Aira is pulling you by your hand from the entrance further into the party. You are glad he noticed you immediately because you are instantly overwhelmed by all the big-name idols at the party. Of course, all of Alkaloid is here but even the leaders of UNDEAD and fine have graced this room with their presence.

Your mind swims a bit, but you are pulled back to reality as Aira's hand slips from yours. The whole time your other hand has been tucked behind your back, hiding your gift from view.

"Ha-happy birthday Shiratori-senpai!" You stumble out.

Aira smiles at your stuttering, clearly trying not to laugh before composing himself. "Geez, Newbie, you know you can call me Aira~ I'm not that senior to you when it comes to idol activities anyways."

You let out a soft breath, "Okay... Aira-senpai!"

Aira smiles and puts his hands to his face, "That sounds so Love~!" He blushes and moves excitedly, "It's so cool to be a senpai... I was an underachiever for so long you know."

You smile back, satisfied having heard your senpai's signature phrase. "I've brought you something, Aira-senpai," You fiddle with the object still hidden from Aira's view.

Aira's face lights up again, "Really? I'm so excited!"

You bring the envelope before you and grasping it with both hands, offer it with your head bowed. "Happy birthday, senpai!"

You aren't looking but you can hear Aira clasp his hands together in delight before gently taking the letter from your outstretched hands. "A letter? Thank you, Newbie!"

You blush as you look back up at Aira admiring the lettering and decoration on the envelope. "I've only been able to spend a little bit of time training with you..." You start, "But I want to get to know Aira-senpai more... So, I wrote all sorts of things in that letter!" You break eye contact briefly, "I also included... one of my training unit bromides... since you like idol goods. I hope that's not overstepping..."

Aira beams at you, his smile wide. "That's so Love~!! A photo of my cute kouhai? It'll be a rare item when you make your major debut! I'll cherish it, thank you~"

Your smile matches his as he praises you. You'll thank the staff later for printing pre-debut goods for you and the other trainees.

"Shiratoriiiii!" You see Tori distantly waving his arms and throwing a fit as Yuzuru lightly scolds him.

"Oops, gotta go! Have fun at the party and have some cake!" Aira waves as he turns, still securely holding the letter. "Coming, Himemiya-senpai!" He throws another smile over his shoulder before disappearing further into the party.

You are left a little dumbfounded in the middle of the room, but you spy another trainee idol at the dessert table. Well, it would be rude not to try the cake~

Happy birthday, Aira~ And congratulations on getting into the StuCo!

Location: First-year classroom

Aira: (This is bad, what should I do now... It’s not like getting bad grades will get me suspended from school.)

(But with this kind of poor result, even I get shocked.)

(This is just a small quiz so it has yet to do much damage, but if this was the regular examination...)

(Urgh~, just imagine that sends a shiver down my spine.)

(I'll try harder next time. I'll study seriously so I won't get bad grades anymore.)

(... or so, I just think like that only on the day my tests are returned. I will never actually do it.)

(I'm horrible at studying... Yumenosaki is a school that nurtures idols, they really should have had more idol-ish classes(?).)

Aira: H-Hiro-kun!?

Aira: Nothing good happened, and why are you here anyway? This place is the first-year classroom you know?

Hiiro: Umu, I know. Just that the bell had already rang and a lot of time had passed but Aira never appeared, so I came to get you.

Hiiro: You do? If that's the case, you should study so you can get better school results.

Hiiro: Why though? If you want to go to the library, Seisoukan also has a bookroom where you read books, right?

Aira: The library is the best place to study. It's quiet so people can concentrate.

Why is Hiro-kun following me here?

Hiiro: Since you called off the promise to show me around the school, I ended up with nothing to do.

I was told about this place before but I never used it once. Taking the chance, I want to know what kind of place the library is.

Aira: Ah, I see. Well, Hiro-kun is free to do your things, just don't disturb me while I study.

(...Hiro-kun, what kind of book is he going to read? We never talk about this topic, so I can't really think of anything.)

Oh uh, you surprised me. Hiro-kun, since when did you come and sit right in front of me?

Hiiro: ...

Aira: Why are you being quiet now? No, even with your gestures, I can't understand what you are trying to say.

You are taking out a notebook, and you are writing something down... "Aira told me to not disturb you while you studied."

Aira: I did say that... But talking by writing is bothersome, just speak like you usually do.

Hiiro: Thanks, you saved me a lot. It is much better to express your thoughts verbally than through written letters.

You said you were bad at studying, but I think you are admirable when you earnestly make an effort with it.

I really respect Aira for being a 'hard worker'.

Aira: Yeh-yeah, thanks... If it is just hardworking then anyone can do it.

But if you don't show results, the time you spend doing it will be rendered useless. Really just 'a waste of time'.

Hiiro: Each person's growth rate is different. There are plants out there that can grow more than one meter a day, but there are also plants that take several years for their roots to develop.

As long as you don't give up and continue to take care of your plant, it will surely grow. Humans are the same, efforts never fail.

Aira: (I know that an underachiever like myself needs to take time.)

(Just that I can't wait until the success shows its signs. Ah~, if only I could be like Hiro-kun and confidently say 'it is simple'...)

Well, I'm tired now so Imma take a break~ Maybe I will go buy something sweet.

Hiiro: Something sweet?

Aira: Yep. They say when you are tired, you should have sweet things.

Hiiro: Why is that?

Aira: Who knows, it is a myth.

Hiiro: Fuhm. I will tag along with you to check that out.

Aira: Eh~? Hiro-kun is following me around like a baby chick.

Hiiro: Umu. Aira knows a lot of things that I don't know. I'm never tired of being together with you.

Aira: H~mm... Fine with me I guess.
