The Polar Tang was a unique ship, and Ikkaku was generally considered the best person qualified to fix her after any given attack, accident, or just due to general wear and tear. It was a job the engineer was proud to do, giving her best day in and day out, making sure her beautiful submarine was getting the best care possible.

Yet despite her skills and natural inclination towards all things mechanical, Ikkaku also knew there was always something new to learn. And while traditional shipwrights would likely have nothing useful to add, or even have even the slightest understanding of such a magnificent, highly advanced submarine, the ones on Water 7 were considered the best in the world. If there were anyone who could teach her something, it would be them.

Hell, sometimes just getting an outsider's perspective was useful, so when the Hearts had stopped at the famous Captial of Water, she'd insisted on getting the Tang looked at, just to ensure there was nothing she could improve on or had missed.

The blonde shipwright - Paulie, if she had heard right - had certainly taken his job seriously, which Ikkaku appreciated. And she appreciated the comment about her submarine being well taken care of just as much. "Thanks," she said, beaming with pride. "She's the most beautiful and unique ship I've ever seen. From the moment I first laid eyes on her, I knew she was the best damn vessel in the four Blues. And I can promise she's looked after. I'm the head engineer, so I do my damnedest to keep her in tip-top shape."

Resting a hand on the yellow hull, she hummed in contentment. "I'd be surprised if you'd seen anything like her, but I guess if anyone would have, it'd be you folks. Bet you've seen all kinds of beauties sail in, eh?" she asked, giving the man a playful wink.

The lines “I know who you pretend I am”and “why not my ?” is to explain that the husband (or who ever he is) isn’t actually in love with her but someone else and it’s kinda giving Metamy ship vibe because I always imagine the idea that after the events of Metal Virus idw comic , when he finds out that he isn’t organic but robotic and that he “might” not be the “real” Sonic , he’d thought to himself like «Ho so it means that Amy isn’t just nice to me because I’m Sonic but because I REMINDS her of him» and he got thought of being betrayed and used (like always). And Amy on the other side actually don’t give a darn if he is the real Sonic or not , that he’s organic or not , that he’s real or not , she’ll still want to hang out with him and give him a chance to be who he wants to be . But Metal would probably stop trusting her and Amy will have a mental breakdown because she got abandoned … AGAIN

And this is now on my list of good shit angst :3

Now that im thinking about it, that "lycanthrope" headcannon for Chaos is actually kinda cool if i consider Metal Sonic as a vampire (specifically of electrical vamps- but a Ultrakill type "blood is fuel" would be awsome too..)

A Metal Sonic energy vampire (or blood is fuel) and high-tide Chaos together would be such a killer combo...

Considering that Metal Sonic literally sucked up a bunch of biodata from other peeps as well as a bunch of electrical/factory power to compelte his transformation (which allowed it to fly..)

So its already kind of a vampire at that point, just replace "biodata" with "blood".

Though the lycanthropy type headcannon probably could work, since Chaos technically has a transformation that is equivalent of a tsunami, but tbh i just to see a "werewolf"-esc full moon transformation of Chaos that makes him look cool, big and powerful because who doesnt enjoy seeing that??

I mean, he already transforms because of small powerfully magical rocks, why not transform because of a bigger, powerfully gravitational rock???? The moon!!!

expanding on my Paul/V-Man confession: i honestly think they'd be a really cute couple. just two Big Guy bassists in love <3

they'd be so cheesy and lovey-dovey with each other and never shy away from showing their appreciation for one another, even if people are around. V-Man is known for being a really good cook so i think it'd be adorable for him to treat Paul to some breakfast in bed the morning after they get home from touring or if Paul had a long day the previous day. Paul would always try to help V-Man out in the kitchen for dinner and such but kinda just ends up eating some of the ingredients while sitting on the counter and watching V-Man cook. they'd just be a really nice pair i think :)
