Before Heartsteel

You’ve been with him before he was kicked out of his old band (maybe even well before he started his music career), so of course, Rhaast was no secret to you. He never was, really. You actually liked Rhaast and loved seeing him just go crazy and do what he wanted without much of a care of the consequences. Kayn figured this is why he was initially drawn to you, because you accepted this part of him.

His band was pretty much the opposite. They held him back extensively because of Rhaast. The situation itself and seeing him lash out time to time made you worried on how much more he could stand being with that group. Some days, you just let him rant to you. You don’t know much on the other members in general besides their names and their roles in the band, but seeing him so frustrated because of them felt like maybe it’s best if you didn’t.

When Kayn did get kicked out, you let him stay around for a bit. A bit eventually became a while. Totally weren’t preparing for this, you made sure there was plenty of room for him. An artist needs his own space after all, though he didn’t exactly pick up his guitar for some time.

It’s been rough for Kayn for a while. He was getting easily irritated over the smallest things and seemed to often get into fights online. You’ve had to keep him off social media more than once before he really made things worse for himself. His reputation has taken quite a hit when he was kicked out, so this was for the best if it means he doesn’t damage further by doing something stupid.

Rhaast, on the other hand, was a bit harder. Rhaast liked to leave a mark, mostly in a physical sense. There were times where you had to stop him from actually getting into serious trouble. It was hard to talk him out of it and sometimes you had to keep him from walking out that door. Doing such a thing did make you feel bad since you’re holding him back almost like his old band did with him, so there were times where you hesitated. Don’t get him wrong though, he knows you’re just worried about his wellbeing.

When he finally did pick up his guitar again, the songs he made were quite clearly targeted towards his old band. Rhaast was going all out and you encouraged that. Of course, these songs never went public for obvious reasons (though Rhaast almost argued with you to upload them somewhere). Hearing songs like these from him were really the one and only times where you can hear just how truly angry he was. Still, you were glad he was letting it out in a way that felt natural to him. Artists letting out their frustrations through songs weren’t uncommon, and most of the ones out there needed to have their listeners read between the lines to understand and see the artist. But you? You didn’t have to. It was all right there in front of you.

Approaching Kayn on the topic itself is rather difficult as he tends to get defensive and dismissive over it, so really, the best you could do was get his mind off of it for a little while. Anything works as long as he was doing something, anything. It didn’t matter what it was.

It’d take quite some time for him to actually come to you for comfort on the matter. When he does though, it was a huge weight off of both of your shoulders. It basically just happened one night, and it was one of those nights for him where his thoughts were keeping him awake. He can’t sleep, you can’t sleep either, so you two just kind of talked for a bit to tire each other out. Eventually, the topic shifts and you can feel his hold on you tighten ever so slightly.

Kayn almost never showed a vulnerable side of him, especially around you. He had his own reasons for that. On the rare occasion that he does, know that it means he trusts you more than anything.

He is happy that you stayed and helped him as long as you did (both being his muse and just supporting him). He makes you aware of it during that night and he does continue to show his appreciation in his own way, whether it’s simply some quality time or even writing a song for you.

Things did eventually calm down and Kayn was beginning to just enjoy doing what he wanted to do again just for the fun of it rather than out of spite. As long as he’s happier now. There’s nothing else to say about his old band.

General stuff between you two

Teasing. So much teasing… He loves your flustered and/or slightly annoyed look when he does it. He finds it adorable.

Kayn can drive but for the love of god never actually let him drive. The chances of getting pulled over and arrested for reckless driving is really high up there. Just let him be in charge of the music, he’ll at least he satisfied with that.

You two still text each other on Discord even if you’re in the same room. He just likes hearing you laugh over what he sends. This does include videos he finds online that he thinks (knows) you’ll laugh to.

Matching hair color! It’s fun, a pain in the ass to get done, but fun. There was a bit of a mess in the bathroom though, and that wasn’t fun to clean.

“Hah! It looks like a murder took place in here!” “I murdered your hair, that’s for sure.” “What?! Are you kidding me? This isn’t the first time you did my hair! It’s perfect!” “Well yeah, but your long hair is gone… I really loved your long hair…” “I mean- It’ll grow back eventually.”

Lunch and dinner sometimes include ordering some food and having it delivered, then eating it in your shared room. Is it healthy food? No, but hey, at least you’re both eating food. If it wasn’t that, then one of you was cooking. Kayn’s cooking is not that bad, but it could be better. Don’t say that though.

Doing each other’s makeup. Although, it started with you wanting to do his and him saying he’ll let you do it if you let him do yours. Now it’s routine.

Playing with his hair. Loves it when you do it. Just him laying his head beside you, or on your chest, with your hands running through his hair. It calms him down and makes him sleepy sometimes. He’ll deny it though.

“Sleepy?” “No.” *literally about to fall asleep* “Sureee.” “Shut up.”

Though there are some nights where one of you can’t fall asleep no matter what you do. Whether it’s insomnia or the other just won’t shut the fuck up (Kayn), at least one of you is still awake. If you feel someone brushing your hair in the middle of the night and giving small pecks, it’s totally not Kayn.

Heartsteel

When Heartsteel found one of his songs and sent him a message, you were okay with him eventually moving in with the group. Kayn has been talking about them for some time, and you think this might be good for him. From what he’s been telling you, these people accept Rhaast. Totally not the one reason why you were okay with it in the first place.

He often texts you about what’s going on and teases you by asking if you miss him. Say no. :) Sometimes complains to you about Yone, but it’s just him being assigned a chore (dish duty).

It does get a bit lonely sometimes now, but he’s happy to be around a group of people that doesn’t push Rhaast away so it doesn’t bother you. Kayn does make up for it by calling you and sometimes dropping by. The second one isn’t often though. Again, gotta keep fans and paparazzi from finding out about your relationship. Although speaking of calls, there were times where you two fell asleep while on call. It usually ends with one of your phones running out of battery.

The group seems to know about you. Yone and Sett has heard of you once or twice, but K’Sante is the one that knows about you the most. According to K’Sante, Kayn talks about you a lot. Ezreal only knows about you cause he got a peak at his phone and saw your name thanks to one of your over night phone calls and he won’t stop asking Kayn about you.

“Dude who’s [name]??? Is that who you’re always talking to all night?” “The hell are you looking in my phone for??!”

Ahem… Kayn did get some relationship advice from K’Sante. Honestly this is exactly why he knows a lot about you from him.

Aphelios only knows about you because of Sett, who then tells Alune.

Kayn tried to keep the music video of Paranoia on the down low so it could surprise you, but he needed to tell you about the dog the moment they picked him up. With that aside, seeing the music video definitely put a smile on your face. He looked like he was having a lot of fun with the new band (you totally saw the Discord calls Aphelios leaked).

He wasn't stressed at all

He loved his dad but didn't care if he didn't accept you

Had to take a whole week off to travel to Zed's home and actually spend some time with him

When you two arrived, you didn't expect his dad to be so...hot?

You were served a great dinner and then went to rest

Across the next few days you and Zed got to know eachother better, he was glad Kayn finally found someone who could keep him calm...er

After that he frequently texts you to ask about Kayn and you, even though he's busy with his fighting school

Yasuo lived nearby so he just came over someday and it just happened that you were also over

He was surprised that his older brother managed to keep someone around

When Yone was making dinner, Yasuo kept you entertained with stories from their childhood, which, if Yone would have heard, would have earned him a smack to the head

You learned that Yone was the calmer of the brothers while Yasuo was way more hot headed

Though that didn't bother you, at least for now

Yasuo likes you, he's glad his brother finally found someone who he can trust and who can maybe get him to stop over working himself so much

Sett

He was so nervous before you two got to Mama's house

He kept on stressing about her not liking you

Her opinion was important to him, but not more important than the love he felt for you

His blabbering also made you nervous

When you finally arrived at her house, you were surprised to see a soft looking older woman.

She welcomed you with open arms

She was so nice to you, asking about you, your relationship, but not in an intrusive way

When she asked Sett to help in the kitchen, you wanted to help too, but the kitchen was too small, so you just stood in the doorway and talked with them

You were starting to like her more than Sett honestly

He gave you some food to eat later

Since she's the bands manager, you've known Alune since the beginning

He'd probably take you to one of those claw machines shops

You know the ones that just have a bunch of functional claw machines, and you get to try your luck at them

He'd be a total god at them it's unbelievable

He'd get you anything that you lay eyes on for more than 2 seconds

That Badtzmaru plush? It's yours in 7 seconds

That figurine of your favorite character? He's getting it right now

And if you get him anything? He will melt

Aphelios will cherish what you got him more than anything (other than you or alune)

During the date, he'll speak to you softly and, if you want, he'll teach you his ways on the claw machine

He'll stand behind you while you play and would not mind any affection given to him out of excitement

He tries to get you something in secret, and if he succeeds, he would be smiling so hard under his mask

You both exit the claw machine place with your arms filled with prizes, most for you and some for himself

Then he takes you out to eat something, anything

Though he does love his takeout 🙃

When he takes you home, be sure to show him your gratitude by kissing him on the cheek after placing your stuff on your living room

For a first date, he'd probably take you out to karaoke

He'd be able to show off what he likes to do and see your taste in music

And by that, he'll definitely be able to determine things about you

To get you comfortable, he'll sing to you a few times and encourage you to sing either with him or alone

If you sing a duet with him, he'll be very pleased and choose some type love song like "can't help falling in love" or something lol

and if you get the courage to sing a song for him, he'd totally encourage you and sing praises

He'd get shivers down his spine while you sing and if you mess up he wouldn't even laugh

He would just smile at you sweetly and listen as you sing

He's so mesmerized by you that he doesn't notice that you finished the song until you poke him on the cheek

After a while, both of you get tired of singing, throats stomachs hurting from singing and laughing

And when he drives you home, he helps bring the bags up to the front door before attempting to leave with a wave and a smile

When he gets inside his car, his face is as pink, and his hair and his ears perked up higher than anyone's used to seeing💜

You don't know what you're getting into

Kayn is scared

Before meeting up with you, he had to tall Rhaast some basic rules like, don't be disrespectful and some other ones that he need to keep in mind

Even though Kayn is quite wild, he didn't want to scare you on the first date

So he met up with you at your place on foot and you both went on the bus to the nearest paintball/airsoft park

He showed you the basics of the games, you watched and admired him intently, and played some yourself

You guys didn't go against each other as he spectayed while you played and you spectator while he played

At first, he was slightly romantic, helping you with putting on gear and protection so you wouldn't get hurt

But when the adrenaline started getting to the both of you, he started to get a bit roudy

But you know it's because of the adrenaline

He treats you with utmost care and affection

If you're nervous about the first game, he'll comfort you, though it's kinda difficult because he's not used to it

He makes sure you're not too hurt, and if you get a mark due to a bb

After a few hours, you guys walked to the closest convenience store, and he called one of his friends to pick him and you up in a few minutes

He bought you a few snacks and some drinks to cool off and walked towards a nearby park to sit around and talk to you

When the ride came and you arrived home, you held his hand and sqeezed it lightly before leaving the car with a soft smile

You, sadly, didn't see him cover his face with his hands after you shut the door and walked inside

K'sante would 100% have a first date at a pottery painting place!!!

He'd suggest painting something for you and you painting something for him!

He designed a Ramen bowl for you while asking about your favorite things, like color, character, music genre, and clothing style

You also asked him some questions, but your creative piece didn't come out as well because you were so distracted with how gentle he was with the details of your bowl and how handsome he was

The plate you were designing looked,,, not as good, and you felt he definitely deserved a better plate

So you kept silent and concentrated

Some questions here and there are to get to know each other better, but most of the time is used on painting.

So, in the end, it was a silent date with him

After you both finished your pieces for each other and washed your hands, you both went out to eat out together!

Two days later, K'sante appeared at your front door with a ramen bowl that was your favorite color with your favorite shape.

The plate you made is something he uses when you're around to make you feel proud of yourself!!

Before he leaves you with your new favorite bowl, you grab him by the hand and pull slightly before hugging him 🧡

Kayn x Graffiti Artist!Reader

hi hi~ welcome to the start of my heartsteel x headcanon series "creatively charmed"! sorry, i cant think of a better title atm LOL anyways, this is gonna be a series of the heartsteel band with a lover who's got a creative side to them XD that's all, hope you enjoy! next up will be sett ^-^

Started with another one of days where Kayn decided to go out and wreak havoc by vandalizing everything LOL

When he does he often comes across a lot of grafitti art, this one in particular has a certain style to it

He always lets out a little chuckle when he sees it.

Now, as a fellow artist himself, he is respectful enough to not ruin that person's art, but he does his own grafitti nearby. For him it always includes his HEARTSTEEL icon and if he's feeling good then some song lyrics or a joke

This time, it was shortly after HEARTSTEEL's debut MV released, so when he left to do his usual vandalizing, he wrote "two sides to a story but they never tell my side" with a bunch of doodles. He was particularly proud of this piece, so he was planning to continue working on it the next day

What he didn't expect, however, was for someone to continue the lyrics, with "never been the kinda guy to stay inside the guidelines" written underneath, as well as some art of Kayn's scenes and even a headshot drawing of him from their single's thumbnail

Kayn was surprised and amazed to see it, and broke out into an excited shit-eating grin once he saw the artist's signature that he saw in all their other pieces

"So, looks like I captured this person's heart too. Ever the popular star I am, no?"

And so, he continued the lyrics to his verse, secretly hoping this grafitti artist will continue it again.

Which they did, and gradually, that specific wall gradually filled up with PARANOIA's lyrics from their gradual exchange, even with additional doodles of the other members, Ernest and Rhaast, and some of the funny scenes of the MV

Even mini conversations started with side comments on each others drawings, for example:

"This dog -> true MVP of HEARTSTEEL"

"The dog in the MV? His name's Ernest. (But Kayn is the real MVP)"

"LOL u come up w that name? I can see it tho ngl"

Oh right, this person doesn't know this is THE Kayn Shieda they're talking to

Anyways, this exchange made Kayn excited to come back every time (even his bandmates questioned why he goes out every night looking all excited)

Same with Rhaast actually LOL, but Kayn doesn't let him because he knows how crazy he gets when it comes to vandalizing

"I WANT A TURNNN KAYNNN" "No! I don't need you drawing 100 dicks on the wall again!" "THAT'S HOW MUCH OF A DICKHEAD YOU AREE-"

But alas, all good things must come to an end, after... 2 months, I guess? They had finished writing all the lyrics of the song and the whole wall was full of just HEARTSTEEL PARANOIA. Okay, so that's the end of it then.

Until a paper plane hit the top of Kayn's head. Annoyed, Kayn immediately lifted his head up to the direction it was thrown, yapping angrily at whoever had the fucking audacity to do that

Just as he was about to crumple the plane, he noticed writing on one of its wings, "read me!" Raising a brow curiously, he opened up the paperplane, where it revealed a username with a discord logo drawn next to it, along with your artist signature :)

I love how writing for Kayn gives me the free reign to swear AHAHAHDJSN

Activities – What are their favorite things to do with you? How do you spend your free time?

He loves teaching you things. He gets really impatient and it can be hard, but he gets a lot of joy out of teaching you to play a simple song on guitar, a new dance move, etc. His face lights up so bright if you ask him to practice with you, and he gets so genuinely proud of you and excited when you’re able to master the song or the dance move that he showed you!

Boo! – How do they feel about surprises, giving and receiving?

Man loves surprises. He really likes it when your surprises involve kisses! He loves feeling your lips on his skin, your soft giggle in his ear.

If he’s surprising you, it’s very arrogant. Coming home early from tour so “you don’t miss him anymore,” video chatting or calling you so you can fall asleep to his voice.

Comfort – How do they comfort you when you’re upset? When the tables turn, do they come to you, or try to handle it themselves?

When you’re upset, he’ll cup your face and make you look him in the eyes. He’ll remind you how amazing you are, how much he cherishes you, and that there’s nothing he would ever change about you. He loves you. He’ll give you the sweetest and softest kiss you’ve ever received from him, and he’ll cuddle you as long as you need.

I think he would try to handle his feelings himself. You’d have to confront him firmly to get a decent chat out of him and he’ll be kinda blushy, shy, and defensive

Dance – Do they like to dance with you? How good of a dancer are they?

He loves dancing with you sm!!! Grinding in the club, slow dancing on your balcony, he’ll learn tango, salsa, or ballroom dance even if you ask him to! If you’re not much of a dancer, you can stand on the tops of his feet while you sway slowly to his soft humming.

Excitement – How do they act when they’re excited? What excites them?

When Kayn is excited he gets more boisterous and cocky. Banter levels up. Playfulness levels up. I feel like he’s the kind of guy that would pick you up and swing you around mid hug

Future – What are their plans for the future? Do they see themselves getting married, having kids?

I think he doesn’t really think about marriage or kids until you come around. It’s not until he actually realizes that he can’t live without you that he starts thinking about marriage. Once he’s there, he talks about it all the time. Kids aren’t really planned for, so if you have them, they were probably an accident… (He will love them more than anything)

Gifts – What do they give you as presents? How often do they get you gifts?

He likes buying you collars, writing songs for you, and loves to gift you things that you can both use (like cuddling under that new fleece blanket)

He gets you gifts fairly regularly. A little more than just special occasions, but not so often that they’re an expectation.

Hold – How do they hold you? Cuddling, sleeping, holding hands…

When sleeping, he holds you really close, noses pressed together, his hand pressed firmly against your back underneath your shirt, your leg over his hip.

He loves when you lay on top of him for cuddle time. Sometimes he’ll lay on top, squishing you with his weight

Hand holding isn’t really his go-to, but if he’s leading you somewhere or moving through a crowd then his hand is glued to yours. He would rather have an arm around your shoulders or hand on your lower back.

If you have back pockets, best believe his hand can be found there, especially if you guys are just standing around.

Ideal – What’s their ideal date like?

He actually really loves just sitting in his room with you and playing guitar. Don’t get him wrong, he absolutely loves going on adventures with you, being loud and boisterous and competitive… But his favourite dates are the ones that you can both just… be.

Jealousy – Do they get jealous easily? How do they handle it?

He’s a very jealous person, I think. Rhaast yelling in his head about everything he’s anxious about or yet to be anxious about and really urges him to lash out. He’ll apologize if he recognizes that he’s in the wrong, though

Kisses – How do they like to kiss you? How frequently do you kiss?

He kisses you like he’s drowning and needs you to breathe. You are the air in his lungs, the sun to his flowers, the moon to his sea. The best way to describe it, is that he kisses with his whole body, heart, and soul. He’ll pull you really close, press you against the wall or whatever surface you’re laying on so that there’s no space between you, practically suffocating each other, filling all of his senses with you. No kiss is complete without at least licking your lip. He very openly compliments you. Or pulls you into a hug or kiss. His softer side though is reserved only for you so his compliments, hugs, and kisses are gonna be more on the teasing side if there’s anyone nearby, but very sweet when you two are alone. He loves writing love songs for you. Also loves videochatting with you when you’re going to bed, especially if he’s on tour and can’t be there next to you.

Melt – What do you do that absolutely makes them melt?

He loves your banter, more than you’ll ever know. He loves teasing you, especially when you tease him back. He adores the competitive drive you get with him when you go to the arcade, or go-kart racing, and you can be a little mean, but he really loves it.

He also loves really mundane things, like waking up next to you, looking at you when you’re focused on something. Your whole face, really, and the expressions you make are just so cute!

Nicknames – What do they call you, and what are their favorite things to be called?

He enjoys really arrogant nicknames: “musical genius,” “sexy,” “handsome,” etc

For you, he keeps it simple. He thinks you’re perfect and wants to remind you of that so he tends to call you things like “beautiful,” “my angel,” “sweet thing”

Obvious – How obvious do they make it that they like you?

He thinks he’s really subtle and hiding it well, but he’s like an excited puppy whenever you’re around. His eyes light up, he stands a little taller, back a little straighter, devilish smirk on his lips as soon as he sees you. Even if you haven’t spotted him yet. He’s like 95% more likely to spot you first anyway

Pets – Do they have pets? Do they want them?

He’s a dog guy through and through. Loves dogs. Wants aaaaaallllllll the dogs. Is also open to more exotic animals and reptiles!

Quiet – How are the calm, quiet moments with them?

Quiet and calm moments with him are… your favourite. He can be him. Not Rhaast, not the Kayn everyone gets to see on stage or out and about… Him. His music is softer, his touch is more gentle, even his kisses seem sweeter. These moments are… slow. More thought out. He’ll play guitar quietly for you, maybe even sing a pretty and slow tune if he’s really feeling it. He’ll hold you close while watching a romance movie, dozing off peacefully from how content he feels just holding you. These are also the times he may take you to the roof to stargaze, or plan a picnic in a field of flowers, hike near a river…

Romance – How romantic are they? What are their go-to ways of being romantic?

If it’s just you two, he can be so romantic! Always wants to be touching you in some way, loves treating you to lunch or dinner. Intimate times can be quite romantic if he gives himself enough time to plan for it. Roses, candles… He’s also written a couple of love songs for you<3

Safe – What makes them feel safe and comfortable around you?

You accept him for who he is, which has been hard for him to find in his life.

Tend – How do they act when you’re hurt or sick, and vice versa?

He doesn’t know what to do if you’re sick. Please call Yone. Or better yet, Sett’s mom.

If you’re hurt, he becomes very protective and antsy, especially if someone else hurt you. If it’s a wee little papercut though he’ll baby you as much as you let him. He’ll tease you a lot though.

If he’s sick, you’re gonna want everyone’s hands on deck. He is big baby and hates being sick. He’ll pretend like he didn’t just throw up, or that he definitely does NOT have snot hanging from his nose. You have to force him to lay down and relax, force feed him soup, make him some tea. He is a very pathetic sick person.

If he’s hurt, it’s a big deal. Very dramatic boy, very cute pout. He gets so angry but honesetly it’s hysterical (unless directed at you, then you might cry and then he’ll feel bad and might also cry)

Unique – What’s an unusual thing about them that’s oddly charming?

Rhaast. He’s mean and energetic and demanding, but for whatever reason he actually loves you??? He gets really handsy and you have to yell at him, but also really likes when you take your anger and frustrations out on him

Variety – Do they prefer to keep things the same, or spice it up?

He really enjoys spicing things up! He’s very adventurous

Wash – What’s it like taking a bath with them, or helping them wash up after a fight?

There are two types of baths:

1. Soft and intimate baths. He’ll relax with you, maybe have a candle or two lit, bath salts and oils added to the hot water. His fingers will softly explore your skin, just enjoying loving on you and being quiet

2. Sexy baths. The water is a little warmer than room temperature, only filled about halfway, he wants desperately to feel you. Heated kisses, really handsy

There is also shower time. He might wash your hair, but generally this gets really handsy so I suggest showering separately if you want to properly wash or shave

XO – How do they show you affection? How much PDA are they willing to show?

PDA is very teasing: a hand in your back pocket, sneaky tongue kisses, an arm around your waist or shoulders… Dies if anyone sees his soft side though.

Yearn – What do they do when they miss you?

He gets really snappy (compared to usual) when he misses you</3 he also paces more. Rhaast gets really mean, fueling Kayn’s anxieties about his relationship with you.

Zzz – How do they act when they get sleepy? How is it sleeping in the same bed? I feel like he gets so clingy and grumpy when he’s sleepy

Things on my mind:

aka personal headcanon (this time ) about Kayn , RHaast and hair

One thing that i like about the rhaayn ship is that 90% of time Rhaast loves Kayn's hair (and so do i) so here some thought i have on it:

_ Kayn has dyed his hair all the colors of his skins. Since its a modern au and that i think i've read somewhere that he likes to dye his hair, i like to believe that the differents colors of his previous skins are colors Kayn has tried.

_wether it was before or after they made the pact, Rhaast as always a say in the colors Kayn tries or has tried. "you should try this one kayn, it'll suits us", "i can't believe you had this hideous colors on your hair " something along this line

_ Kayn had long hair, like in canon, and was very proud of it. After getting kicked out and offer a second chance with Hearsteel, he decide to go with a ''new chance, new me" type of shit and to not only dye his hair but also cut them

_Rhaast was not happy about it. When Kayn comes with the idea , he tried for weeks to convince him to not cut his beautiful hair. Saddly for him, Kayn is stubborn and wasn't going to change his mind no matter the amount of pestering from Rhaast

_Rhaast was sad- no DEVASTATED. He sulked and refused to talk to Kayn for at least two weeks, making the guy worry. He finally talks to Kayn only because he promises to grow his hair back and to never cut them EVER again.

_Kayn misses his long hair sometimes. Braiding and combing them used to relax him. So he turned to Yone and asked him if he could play with his hair from time to time. Yone gladly accept because he actually sucks at braidind his hair. He tried many time but they always end up sloppy and weird, its not like it bother him that much since Yone usually have his hair up in ponytails, buns or sometimes simply down. But he is happy whenever Kayn offers to style his hair, having his fun trying different things in his . (Bonding time and stuff)

_Obviously Ezreal wants Kayn to braid his hair too, not that he minds, but he likes to deny him just for the fun of it

_Rhaast like Yone's hair too, but he will never admits it "his hair are alright, they will do for now.."

Author’s Note: Hi, sweetie! Thank you for the request~ Since I already did a similar scenario with Sett and I am already working on another one with Ezreal (coming out soon!!), I chose to go with Kayn in this scenario. I hope you like this one too 💕

You stayed out of the way and minded your own business. It was a little stressful for you to be here, amidst the making of your boyfriend’s first grand music video. You barely knew anyone here, and you didn’t want to disrupt the process by wandering around without permission. Although Kayn did tell you that you were allowed to take a look around while he was busy, you still felt like an intruder.

Soon you found yourself studying the music video shots displayed on the large screens for the filming crew to monitor. You watched from afar and then made an awkward attempt to come closer and peek, afraid of being told off for your nosiness. But no one really paid any attention to you, courtesy of your grey hoodie, you were sure. Most people would think you were some kind of intern on set and likely ask you for coffee or cables... or whatever it was that the interns did.

As you inched closer, you noticed that the girls from the crew were monitoring Kayn’s scene with the rottweiler. You found that dog to be super cute when you saw the dog trainer work with him beforehand. But at this time, you were the only one interested in the four-legged actor. The production staff were all swooning and pining… and drooling over Kayn’s six-pack.

Yes, those just had to be out for the entirety of the video, and, of course, for the whole day on set. If anyone could be confident enough to rock a crop top like this, it was your boyfriend. God, you were embarrassed to even think that it your head… A guy like Kayn laying his eyes on you? No one would ever believe it had you told them. No, not even in the realm of possibilities.

‘Wow, his abs are nasty!’ One of the girls in front of you noted.

‘He is nasty!’ The other one giggled into her fist. ‘Can you imagine how firm they are?’

‘Oh you! His girlfriend must know! Lucky her…’ The third one interjected, and they all sighed.

‘Shit. I cannot even imagine the girl he must be dating. Some chic supermodel, I suppose.’ The first one suggested.

You were right there, almost compelled to nod in agreement. He did look like a guy who’d snatch a real beauty easily. Pretty girls also loved them some bad boys. But somehow there you were, not even close to being considered a supermodel… You weren’t particularly fit underneath those baggy clothes of yours. How on Earth you ended up dating this man, who was completely out of your league, you had no clue. And it wasn’t a pleasant thing to think about. Sometimes you were wondering what he saw in you, if he actually did. Being somewhat sneaky and secretive about your relationship didn’t help your confidence either.

‘Are you just gonna stand there and stare at half-naked men all day?’ Someone yelled from behind, startling all four of you.

You blurted out an apology, caught red-handed, but the culprit, one of the production managers, looked at you in confusion.

‘Y/N? Sorry, I thought you were part of the crew. Why are you here? You can come up the stairs to watch from there.’

‘Oh no, it’s okay. I didn’t want to intrude.’ You refused hastily.

‘It’s fine, Kayn told me to keep an eye on you. Don’t be shy. He’s probably going out of his way with the acrobatics just to impress you anyway!’

Your face started to burn, and you began refuting his claims.

‘Not at all, he just wants to do well for their first big release…’

‘Yeah, I’m sure that’s it,’ the manager winked at you and sniggered at your ablush look. ‘Let’s go upstairs.’

As he dragged you closer to the main filming area, you finally noticed the stares of the crew members you overheard earlier. They were probably quite disappointed from seeing you in real life – no supermodel at all.

However, as soon as you were brought to the area, Kayn was all over you.

‘Y/N! Did you get lost somewhere?’ He gave you a tight squeeze after appearing next to you in a second. ‘I wanted you to watch me doing the stunts…’

‘See? Cares about the big release, my ass.’ The manager grinned next to you.

‘Did you say something?’ Kayn gave him a pointed look, and the man simply raised his hands in surrender, making his way to the cameras. ‘Anyway, I have to go back in a moment, but you stay put and enjoy yourself, okay?’

You nodded shily, and he was on his way.

But then he turned around, walked back and grabbed your face to kiss you. It was quick and unpredictable, and he stayed close to you afterwards, brushing his nose against yours.

‘Okay?’ He repeated in his low voice, making you smile.

‘Okay.’

Finally, Sett made a disgusted noise, yelling from his spot.

‘Get back here and finish your scene, loverboy!’

Kayn’s eye sparked red for a moment, and then he pecked you on the lips one more time.

‘Stay put, baby.’ He turned around to face his impatient bandmate. ‘Care to say that one more time, buddy? I see you want me to tickle those ears of yours again…’

You’ve known Kayn’s birthday was on the 30th and not the 31st thanks to a certain K/DA member texting him at a very unfortunate time, but you did enjoy the idea of celebrating both days in general. Kayn, on the other hand, prefers the 31st because that is what he says his birthday is. It doesn’t hurt to just simply indulge him. If he wants his birthday on the 31st, who the hell are you to say? Don’t let that stop you from doing something fun on the 30th though. Try to take advantage of the fact he has a habit of staying up very late. As long as you two aren’t caught, perhaps you could get away with a thing or two. Maybe a little spray paint to liven up this boring alley right?

Kayn might catch on to what your intentions are and he will tease you about it and telling you his birthday is tomorrow, but he truly does appreciate what you’re doing. Any moment he can spare just to be with you is everything to him.

“Is this for my birthday? You know that’s tomorrow.” “Whattt? Of course I know that.” “This is for my birthday, isn’t it?” “Totally not.” “It’s totally for my birthday!” “It’s past midnight anyway! It’s your birthday right now!”

On the 31st, do expect Rhaast to make an appearance. In fact, it may or may not have been his idea for you to dress up like him. He thinks it’d look cool, and luckily for both of you, some people seemed to have the same idea to dress up as him. Of course, it’d be obvious to tell which one was the real Rhaast, but you? The media can just say you were just a “mysterious talented artist” who practically nailed the costume. At least they never got a picture of your face or even your name, and they’ll never know that you actually got help from the man himself.

Rhaast does eventually escape from the crowd just to go to you and drag you onto a rooftop to watch everyone else. Does he make fun of other people’s attempts to dress up as him? Absolutely.

“[name]! Look at that one over there!” “A for effort, at least.” “No, that’s too high! Bump it down to C tier.” “Hah! That’s a little harsh, don’t you think? Not even low B tier?” “Not at all!” “Oh come on, look at that one. That one’s not that bad, right?” “Ugh, more like cheaply made.”

Rhaast himself is pretty anti-paparazzi. Not in the “literally blinding in the camera” kind of anti-paparazzi, but rather the one that tends to scare them away quite literally. Popping out of nowhere with a loud “BOO!” and a boisterous laugh. Although in general, Rhaast is just really hard to get a good picture of if it’s not during a show. I mean have you seen him? Look at him go.

Since we’re talking about Rhaast, let’s talk about your relationship with him. He loves you. In fact, he’s the one that pushed Kayn to approach you when he realized how Kayn felt about you. In a way, you could say this relationship is polyamorous. Rhaast still gets very jealous if he’s not let out to have time with you, though it’s not so different with Kayn. Both of them can get pretty jealous in general.

“You’re such a wimp! Just do it!!” “No..!” “Oh come on!! They’re perfect! You even thought it!” “Well-! Yes, I did! But-!” “They even love the way I work things! If you want them, you have to get them before someone else does! Have you seen how that other guy was looking at them earlier?!” “I am not doing it.” “What’s that saying? “The worst they can do is say no”? Just do it Kayn!!" “Ugh! Fine! Tomorrow." "Pussy."

Rhaast was Kayn's personal alarm that next morning. He wasn't going to let Kayn forget the plan. Let’s just say he was a bit of a mess when he finally came to you thanks to Rhaast, but when you said yes, he was ecstatic. Kayn struggled trying to keep a straight face when all he can hear is Rhaast yelling triumphantly. That was also the day you realized Rhaast wasn't just his "alter-ego," but rather a whole other person that only Kayn hears and lets out time to time. Well, you did like Kayn, and you did like "not simply an alter-ego" Rhaast, so it worked out.

He definitely tried scaring you a few times. Maybe he succeeded, maybe he didn’t, but he’s done a handful of things to you and others to try and get a reaction. Maybe you grew a resistance to it overtime and your reactions gradually changed.

Rhaast does let you snap some pretty cool photos of him which probably includes him doing dangerous stunts. Still, seeing him go do what he loves to do without anything to stop him was nice. That didn’t stop you from being worried if he’ll actually get hurt, though. He sometimes teases you on that. To be fair, he does this all the time and comes out unscathed.

Heading towards your next destination (which would be wherever they had agreed to celebrate his birthday) had to be done with the two of you doing in different routes so that attention wasn’t drawn to either of you, or to you specifically. Wouldn’t want too many speculations now, though it is fun to see the fans create their own thoughts on the matter. They were either entirely wrong, or they were so close to the truth. You were going to meet up again a few blocks from the location, and of course, he was there first waiting for you in a wall just to kind of surprise you. You were greeted by Kayn instead of Rhaast, and he lifts the mask on your face to give you a kiss.

“Hey there gorgeous~” “Hey yourself. Were you just standing in that wall the entire time?” “Guilty as charged. You’re so slow.” “Says the one who can walk in walls.” “Yeah, but you love it when I do it.”

Serves as good time to just walk and chat now that you’re away from the crowd. Most people, and kids, would be at home and maybe sleeping by now, so the streets are rather empty.

“Not that I’m complaining, but are you here because Rhaast is tired?” “If I let Rhaast drink to his heart’s content, none of us will be going home.” “Since when did that ever stop you?” “Yeah… But Yone won’t be letting me off the hook, so I’m unfortunately at a limit.” “And on your birthday. What a shame.”

Whether this is your first time meeting the rest of Heartsteel or not, it’s safe to say you get along with them fairly well. Ezreal wanted all the details, but gets cut off by Kayn who would pull you away from him. K’Sante and Alune are always fun to talk to, so if things get too rowdy, you can run to them and chat for a while.

You’ve spotted Aphelios taking pictures of some stuff happening, like how Kayn and Ezreal are still bickering which he’ll post somewhere later. He’ll probably go to you to show you some photos he took of the others a few days or weeks prior. There was even a photo of Aphelios and Kayn beating Sett with plushies and pillows (Ezreal took the photo). He’ll send it to you if you ask.

You know those little charms he has on his belt of Rhaast and his shadow assassin form? Your gift to him were matching charms of you and him. He wears the charm of you with so much pride, he loves it so much. You're even placed between the two he already had. No one would suspect a thing either if they see your little charm of Kayn. It's normal for people to have silly pins and charms of their favorite artist, and if anyone asks where you got it from, just say you made it yourself. It wasn't a lie after all.

It’s safe to say both Kayn and Rhaast had fun on their 48 hour birthday.
