Meet Nova!

Nova is a 9.5 month old shorthair tabby – male, neutered, and microchipped.

His current home situation is not good for him or anyone here - he needs a new home ASAP.

Nova is playful and active, clumsy, doesn’t mind being picked up, and will happily sit in laps when he’s tired of playing. He’s social and friendly and loves open windows.

Nova will come with a nice carrier, all of his toys, a couple cat beds, his scratching post, a few blankets and towels, and all of his medical history.

Nova has digestive difficulties, so his dietary needs are particular, but his current regimen is working well for managing his symptoms and letting him live a normal kitty life.

This is Awkwafina (Fina) and she’s up for adoption through one of the shelters I volunteer with. She’s the mother to five boys who have all been adopted. Fina loves forehead kisses and resting her head on yours. I think she would be content to do that all day.

She is stuck at an overcrowded kill shelter and I am desperate to get her out enough that I’m on here asking that if any of y’all have been considering adopting a cat, please consider her. Feel free to ask me any questions! She lived with me for six weeks while her babies were too young to be weaned, so I got to know her really well.

Last week was great! I had my very first interview ever. It didn't start off smooth though. I got there too early and when my ride dropped me off they left so I was basically stranded in a very busy place with nothing to do. I ended up going for a walk and trying to make it to the nearby park. Unfortunately I got lost. Notheless, when it came time for my interview I did great!

Something bizarre happens afterwards. I decided to get a slurpee at the nearest 7/11 following my interview. When I was filling my cup with the cherry flavor the nozel got stuck. It started gushing out of the machine and then exploded all over me and the slurpee station. Gosh I was so embarrassed, luckily it was just me and the shift's employees that day. It was in my hair, my clothes, my eyes, and shoes but I wasn't upset because it dried quickly and was really good.

Lastly, I've been volunteering at my local shelter. I'm happy to share I've learned all the adoptable cats' names. I included a few of the cats along with my interview outfit above. The dogs are great too but there are more of them so it takes longer to learn their names. The animal shelter is very fun and I can't wait to visit the animals again!
