     As “Jingle Bells” plays for the twentieth time today, Ryū tells herself that Reiji could be doing far, far worse things with his time than ramping up the holiday spirit. He’s a pretty straight-laced kid, and she’ll always be thankful for that.

     So as much as she can feel her ears bleeding, she hasn’t said anything to her son about turning down the tunes.

     ...yet.

     Heaving a small sigh, she just...tries to keep to her own tasks without letting the sound grate at her. It...seems her husband is having a harder time of it, but he’s ignored her advice about earplugs or headphones.

     Seems they’ll just have to put up with it until the season is over...
