update on akshan:

as a midlaner and support main I get to interact with him a lot, and personally I don’t think he’s that bad.

yes, he definitely has some balance issues and was severely incompetent and too weak when he came out, but patch by patch it’s getting better tbh.

some pro tips:

• his invisibility is not very. sneaky lol. his range of being found is massive and he’s not exactly a threat the way other invis champs are (Twitch, Pyke, Evelyn, etc), as he can’t burst damage or cc as well as other champs

• his ult can get tanked by an ally. it can also get tanked by a tower LMAO I discovered that today when I was on low ass health and ducked behind a tower as a last resort lol.

• watch out for the grappling hook. that move kills you more than anything else in his kit s2g. If you’re running from him and he pulls out the hook you’re fucked unless you have some fucking amazing cc up your sleeve. (At least, if u play mages like me LMAO)

tldr I’m surprised at how well he’s settling in! I think he’s going to be annoying but yk. you can’t avoid that. not too worried when I’m up against him, tbh.

in other news: I think I’ve been improving my support/mage skills. I’ve gone back to my tried n true Morgana mid as well as Zyra mid and tbh I’ve figured it out, at least a little. Killed a Katarina no problem earlier, was super proud tbh. that was a good ass game of mine but our MF didn’t seem to think so ): got mad that I tried to save my own ass when I knew she was fucked lol.

but yeah. I can farm, I can poke, I can evade. it’s taken a while, but I’m there!!! definitely not “good” yet, but I’m most definitely doing my damn diddly best!!!
