since i am definitely sticking with the idea that the hell priest in hellraiser ( 2022 ) is kirsty; i’ve also noticed all her cenobites were women except for chatterer. as someone who is implied to be an assault victim at the hands of her uncle, i think the women she surrounds herself with in hell were also victims of men in some shape or form. the gasp, the weeper, the asphyx were all victims of domestic violence that died and kirsty came to them after their death to offer them the choice to either peacefully pass on endure a little more torment in exchange for making the same people that harmed them all their life suffer like they did.
