thinking of peach's inexplicable power to generate or find 1-up mushrooms in mario galaxy. like how much energy does that take? is this even usually possible for an inhabitant within the mushroom world? like mario and co. generate 1-up mushrooms by doing enough trick shots and comboing enemies, but i don't think peach usually is surrounded by enemies when she's captured, which means she has to generate them herself right? unless she keeps finding them on bowser's airships or wherever she's being held? is this an extension of her white magic? it definitely fits with her personality and other skill sets, but i'm just so curious how her sending mario 1-up mushrooms logically works out...

I just feel soft for mamnon and how protective he was towards his bracelet, especially when it was revealed that Luke gave it to him. Kinda makes me wonder if he'd be the same way if Ik gave him a gift too.

That being said, what do you think Ik would do for the brother's birthday (assuming they're closer by this point)

I just love your writing! Especially all the little ways you show the brothers growing fondness of Ik

post-jtta mammon would definitely cry upon getting a gift from ik. actually even mammon in his current state as of the latest chapter (15) would probably tear up a little bit, maybe cry if she gets him something really heartfelt

as for the second half of your ask, i'll put a few notes under the cut ^^

within the jtta universe, birthdays isn't really something they do in the devildom - since they're so old, they just get tired of celebrating it year after year. plus celebrating birthdays is a very human kind of thing and, while some human stuff gets picked up by both of the other realms, i feel like this is one demons don't really relate to

(though i know this doesn't hold up to canon - then again, it's dubious as to whether the events are canon content, since they're never mentioned in the main storyline)

so considering a universe where they do celebrate birthdays in the devildom (all the bits after this would take place in a post-jtta continuity, so the found family's already established)

ik comes from a household that doesn't (and can't really afford to) make big deals out of things like birthdays or even christmas, so chances are she won't even realise it's someone's birthday the first few times they come around

she's not good with gifts either, so her first thought would be to give a little red pouch with some grimm or something in it

(i haven't mentioned this in-fic just yet, but ik does come from chinese lineage, she and her dad just moved to britain when she was very young)

other options for gifts include a home-cooked meal, a jar of hand-made paper stars, a horde of origami animals, a book or record or movie or similar that you can only get in the human world, or something like a little toy

as for the party, ik probably won't get involved in the party-planning unless asked to, since she doesn't think she's good with that sort of thing

(she nearly always gets asked to help because she has a habit of remembering handy little details that could turn a birthday party from good to great)

her go-to suggestion is usually just a nice dinnear (maybe a hotpot or barbecue) and a movie night/campfire with marshmallows/similar

ik herself gets very stressed out by sudden surprises and disco-esque settings (dark, lots of people, loud music, stuffy), and doesn't really like big social gatherings or dancing, so she'd prefer not to go the surprise party route, especially if it's for someone that she knows also doesn't like that sort of thing

if it's one of the party-lovers though (asmo, mammon), she'll probably still bring it up as an idea to the others while secretly praying they go for something more subdued

ultimately she'd still go to give the birthday brother well wishes and her gift, and she'd probably have a hand in picking the music/finger foods, but she's likely to spend the entire rest of the party huddled in the corner and hoping no one tries to get her to do karaoke or dance

(at least three out of seven brothers are hanging out with her at any given time and lucifer offers like ten times in a row to take her home early, so she'll be fine in the end, don't worry)
