Okay, so for the Omori Au (I don't have a name for it yet)

1: Magic is real.

2: After 'the incident', Instead of turning to the church, Aubrey becomes a witch instead (with Bunbun being her familiar).

Aubrey keeps trying to use different spells to talk to Mari to ask her why it happened, but every time the spell was either a myth, or her voice was distorted beyond recognition.

Eventually Aubrey just gives up on talking with her and just wants to be with her again, so she makes a button-eyed felt/plush doll to bind Mari's spirit to, so Aubrey can at least hug her 'big' sister.

The summoning was successful at first, however at seemingly random points in time, the doll bursts open and elongates into this Au's version of a button eyed HellMari.

So now Aubrey juggles between wanting to spend as much time with Mari as possible, and hiding HellMari from the public, especially since Mari keeps trying to find her brother & other friends from time to time.

As a side note: after Mari was a 'success' (according to Aubrey) she decided to make 'emergency dolls' of all of her friends (and her mom) in case anything happens to them (like the bad endings involving Sunny/Basil).

OOOOOOOOO That's really interesting :O I love that! Poor Mari though, all she wants is to see the others but well, HellMari might be too much of a surprise when button-eyed Mari doll is already surprising enough.

I can see how cool and also terrifying the other endings will be in your AU! What with Aubrey putting Sunny and Basil into their own button-eyed dolls, complete with a gruesome bonus!
