The Kingdom of Fantasy. I was OBSESSED with the twin fairies, Blossom and Wither. and their brother, Prince Lucky. basically, all the attractive characters. when I read book 13 (pretty sure that's it), I started off by shipping Flamelet and Winglet, but then of course, Winglet x Lorian grew on me, though I still half-shipped Flamelet and Winglet. and also Flamelet was revealed to be Winglet's sympathetic villain cousin (!) so of course Winglorian became endgame. My favorite book in the series was The Phoenix of Destiny because I was a child and didn't know of the twin thing. Long story short, my mind was blown.

The Land of Stories by Chris Colfer. My grade 3 teacher read this book to us and BAM! Loved it since the first chapter. Everyone in my class loved it too, so they borrowed the only copy of the second book from the library. Since I actually had money back then, I bought it. It's still there on my shelf.

The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. The only criticism I have for these books is Finnick. WHY'D HE HAVE TO DIE, SUZANNE. WHY. WHY. WHY. Catching Fire is definitely my favorite movie and book.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians by rick riordan. I am a daughter of Athena. I like the books. I am also very tired so I'll leave it like that. Also, I can't wait for the Disney+ show.

The 39 Clues. Any stans, leave. I literally co-founded the I HATE AMY CAHILL club. Dan, however, is a different story. He's cool. I don't have very much to say about it, other than that I would be a Lucian or Ekaterina. Probably Lucian though. They need more people ever since Natalie and Isabel died.

A Tale of Magic trilogy (so far) by Chris Colfer. Yes, it is separated from TLOS because there was a four-year gap between the two series. This series made me try to draw again. I might draw Xanrik fanart soon. Very soon. I will start as soon as I get home. And I may color it. Also, I need a book with Emerelda, Tangerina, and Skylene POVs.

The Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare.

The Grishaverse by Leigh Bardugo. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE BOOKS AND I DO NOT NEED TO SAY ANYTHING ELSE. READ THEM NOW. RIGHT NOW. (or at least try).

The Throne of Glass series (minus Tower of Dawn and Kingdom of Ash) by Sarah J. Maas. I preferred it when she was Celaena. Now she's basically a whole new person, Aelin Ashryver Whitethorn Galathynius. Fire powers are cool though.

ACOTAR by Sarah J. Maas, plus a bit of ACOMAF, ACOWAR, and ACOSF. Can I just say...wow. What is this series? Why are there so many faeries? Why is Tamlin evil now?

Lockwood and Co. series by Jonathan Stroud. The skull was great, Kipps' redemption arc was great, Holly was great, and everyone was great. I also liked Annabel's locket. It inspired me to wear my own locket every day.

“I was teasing, darling,” Ben interrupted with a soft laugh. “You couldn’t afford me anyway.”

Kincaid flushed. “Sure…sir.”

“He calls me ‘sir,’” the warlock giggled, turning to Joan. “Where are your parents?”

“They’re in the Gard with the others,” Joan said, watching as Ben blew them both a kiss before sauntering off, his hips swaying with carefree confidence.

“He’s something, right?” Joan sighed, watching him go with stars in her eyes.

“Yeah, I guess he’s pretty,” Kincaid mumbled.

“I meant he’s cool!” Joan narrowed her eyes at him.

I just watched the trailer, and keeping in mind that I've only read the first Bridgerton book I will go only with what I saw in the show.

1. Simon/Daphne = Anna/Ari (but without all the SA part)

It may look crazy, but I think a plot like this could work: Ari is the diamond of the season, she is a virgin with no experience while Anna is known for her sexual adventure. One day for ✨️reasons✨️ both Anna and Ari find themselves alone in a closed space and someone discovers them, at this point Bridgestock is furious with Gabrily and expects Anna to marry his daughter to not ruin Ari's reputation (I know, in a realistic setting this wouldn’t be allowed and they would both be arrested, but in a world where non-white people are English nobles in the early 1800 we can also accept that same-sex marriage was allowed).

Then Anna and Ari would live their married life starting to know each other, falling in love, having sex and the drama would be caused not by SA, but by Ari questioning Anna's loyalty because maybe Hypaxia could imply that she and Anna still have sex (which will turn out to be a lie).

In the end they will clarify, have sex and after a few years they would adopt children.

2. Kate/Anthony = Gabriel/Cecily

I don't need to elaborate further.

3. Colin/Penelope = Christopher/Grace

A friends to lovers "I will help you find the right person oh wait I am the right person" is one of my favourite tropes ever. Grace could be the one not finding a suitor, and her dear friend Christopher could propose to help her find a good husband that isn’t an old man just interested in possessing a young beautiful woman, and Grace offers up to help him find a woman who loves him and doesn’t consider him a weirdo for his interest in science. In the process of finding these people, Grace and Kit will realize they’re the perfect fit for each other.

What tropes are you specifically talking about? If we're talking the Bridgerton books (that I'm a fan of), Herondaisy and Book!Polin are adorable childhood friends to lovers ships. (Not a fan of show Polin, so wouldn't compare them to Herondaisy. I'm probably not going to tune into this season except for the Kathony scenes and pretty costume gifs.)

Wessa has a similar fairy-tale vibe to Benedict/Sophie which I really like and am keen on.

They were both arguably the leads of an ensemble cast and it really felt like they were being set up to get together but then it just... never happens. I’m pretty sure even the author thought they were straight and endgame when she started writing them. Although initially Pali is portrayed as the love of Fitzroy’s life so that you think you’re going to have to put up with this straight relationship, she’s later canonically confirmed aroace with a lot of subtext around two other women, while it becomes clear in later books that Fitzroy has a growing interest in another man. Tfw you are sure they’re going to kiss by the end of the book and then it turns out that previous marriage proposals were plausibly about friendship in the first place

Why Netflix brought Sense8 back for a special and refuse to do so as well for others

Disclaimer: I love Fan campaigns, and I take part in many of them, this is only an analysis of the situation

When taking part in fan campaigns to save a show from cancellation I often here: „we brought Sense8 back, we can do so as well“

I think what people do not understand is how well Organized the Sense8 fandom was back then. Sense8 was one of Netflix first major shows, and one of Netflix first major shows with a lot of LGBTQ representation. Streaming was new and Netflix was growing like crazy, they were a single player on the market. Netflix did everything to make their show’s successful

The irony of the whole story is: Netflix themselves helped to build the Sense8 fandom. The promo campaign before season 1 dropped was insane. Posters everywhere, character trailers for every single one of the cluster, they even had trailers for sense8 in my German cinemas here. And! They even released season 1 on DVD. A nice white box set together with other shows (I need that box set so bad). They had social media accounts for the show. They send the casts on every major pride parade. Once season 1 was released Netflix continued to hype the show up. They didn’t just went quiet about it, like they do today.

Then Netflix announced a Christmas/New Year’s Eve special: To further hype the show up and to shorten the waiting time for season 2. it was again a major event.

When Season 2 finally dropped and was shortly cancelled after, the fandom was amazingly organized and HUGE! The fans already knew each other from conventions and prides. There were tumblr accounts only dedicated to the show, or single characters of the show

When Netflix cancelled the show they said: „the viewing numbers do not justify such high production costs“. But in the end the simple truth was that Netflix wanted to produce cheaper shows that were easily marketable. The show still had a lot of viewers, nevertheless

This is why it was so easy for the fans to gain 300.000 signs in five days on the Save Sense8-petition. In the end it was over half a million… in around two weeks! In just a few days they had bought the domain for savesense8.com and released a petition calendar: one month, everyday, one campaign.

Fans phoned Netflix. Send them Flipflops, letters, produced a whole music video in under a week and got an actor of the show involved, digged out every single mailing address they could find and wrote there. Netflix’s social media accounts was hardly usable anymore because the comment section was full of #savesense8 and I mean in an amount you can not imagine.

We were so loud that even the HEAD of Netflix wrote us a letter. And they even gave us a special mail address we should write to why we love Sense8.

So in under one month we got the show back. Because I think not even Netflix was prepared for such an outrage. It was new and unique.

And 2) the financial situation back then was completely different. The situation on the market was different. Prime just started producing their own shows, every other streaming service didn’t existed yet.

This is also why Shadowhunters got two specials right away because they were also amazingly organized, maybe even better then sense8. Look what they pulled off to get a season 3. if Netflix didn’t gave them their specials right away they would have gotten their special!

But most shows being cancelled today are small shows with really passionate fan bases but sadly not many viewers. I am all here for: „Netflix stop cancelling smaller shows, a successful company should have big and small shows“ but Netflix isn’t. And hence it is so complicated for small shows to get conclusion. Because 10M tweets are impressive but if you have a few thousand fans who tweet everyday that’s an achievable goal.

Look what sense8 had to pull off and we got a „we hear your voice, but sadly we can not bring back the show“ letter, half way through our campaign…

I really hate the whole situation honestly, but I have the feeling today major shows do not get canceled anymore, only the smaller shows that can not make enough noise to really bother Netflix…. I really hope that will change one day and Netflix will change their strategy

Until then we can not do anymore then support every small queer show and hope for the best

Hey Axelle! how's it going? I'm dropping by right after binging a Netflix show called The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself.

Why? you might wonder.... Well, remember 3 Will Be Free?

If, like me, you might have been craving a good poly relationship that gives you all the feel sI recommend you watch this show. Imagine european witches, a trio of misfits with a lot of romantic tension, sarcasm, humor, interesting lore, good characters and a very decent plot for a low budget YA type show and make it eight episodes. It's a good little show and is really worth a watch. I literally went in for the three mains and stayed for the rest of the characters. Anyways, I wanted to let everybody know about it, and hope you give it a shot. (Even tho it has nothing to do with thailand xD) A lot of it happens in France, so that was a little funny to me (I'm half french and I admit I cringed a little) but nothing too bad that would distract me form the plot. I ended up rambling, I'm done now :)

THE bisexual show itself?? of course I do 😌 aaaaand that's how you got my attention immediately hehe! so I watched the trailer... and I'm into it! ever since I started thai dramas I'm not super into supernatural shows like I used to (I used to be obsessed with teen wolf & shadowhunters lol), but the trailer hooked me in!!! though as a full frenchie (well biologically only a quarter but culturally I'm fully french) I might cringe even more than you :'))) thanks for the rec, the shot of them in the bed reminded me of 3 will be free so much I screamed! For a long time, my mom and grandma struggled to accept my bisexuality. They still do, but it's much better now and my mom even jokes (in a nice way) about it. Now I even have flags and lots of stuff with queer references and they don't blink an eye. And then I started easing them on queer media. Of course I started with Shadowhunters, and they adored Malec (and my grandma loved Izzy too). Then I showed them Heartstopper. And now I just showed them the RWRB trailer and they already said they want to watch the movie as soon as it's released. I'm so proud

I'm so proud of you and I'm even happier for you.
