10 years ago, I made an abomination of a "corset", more like a bodice with pretty trim. NOW, I've finally finished my first real corset with steel boning. Its crazy how comfortable tailored stuff can be when you've failed enough times to finally get it right! My biggest complaint to myself is that I didn't get the pattern matched up 100%. Having carefully turned my skirt top and gathered my cartridge pleats, I find that I hate the way I did them and have to take them out. The linen is too thin to cover the distance around my waist with 1/2"pleats, so I'll line the top and make my pleats smaller. Sigh. #sewingproblems
