So I know this was last week's episode, but I am still not over the Círdan/Elrond conversation on the subject of "sometimes the author sucks, that doesn't mean the thing they made does too" because I guess the guy raised by Maedhros and Maglor would have somehow avoided learning that lesson already lmao because. I mean. I am assuming that legally they can't say Maglor, but. but.
I spent the whole conversation yelling "Maglor. Just say Maglor. You mean Maglor. JUST SAY MAGLOR!" at the television while my mom just kept looking over at me like I'd lost my mind (she likes watching geek stuff with me so I can giver her all the background details she doesn't know, so I always wait to watch these with her, which means she gets to suffer through moments like this without explanation until the episode finishes and it's time for an info-dump, poor mom! haha she loves it though).
And the fact that they instead subbed in DAERON had me laughing so fucking hard. Maglor would be SO MAD ahahahaha.
"Let me get this straight: you wanted to make a reference to me, on the topic of Problematic Creator Types, to my kidnap-victim/foster-son, but because you couldn't use me, you picked Daeron to name-drop instead? DAERON? Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME!?"
He would be so mad and a week later I still can't stop giggling.

Could I get a sfw dragon au with Twice and his s/o please? I adore dragon aus aha. Its cool if you won't write for him, but I didn't see him on the list of what you wont write (unless I'm blind) so I thought I'd try! Thanks for considering my request either way! I love this blog btw (even tho I only read the sfw stuff ahaha)
Of course!! I love dragon AU, and Twice is such a babe. This is unedited, so my dearest apologies O_O.HUGE NOTE: Jin does NOT have the “double voice” thing in this, and for a good reason! You’ll see.
-Mod Pasta just got interrupted by their professor.🍜🍝
The cry resounded throughout the town, and it brought you to your feet in an instant. Fear struck the hearts of those around you, but your instincts were deaf to it. He’s back.
-Flashback-
“Why do you have to wear that funny leather mask, Bubaigawara?” You giggled, small, chubby hands pulling at the white cloth. He swatted you away quickly.
“I can’t stay together, (L/N), and I’m scary without it, I promise,” The sea boy told you with a short laugh. You shook your head, rushing forward to give him a big hug. He could never scare you.
-End Flashback-
“Hydra!” Screams filled the air as the downpour from last night turned into a flood. Luckily your bed was above the chilly water, but not for much longer. You strategically jumped around your room to your dresser to pull out a dress and throw it on. It was silky and ivory coloured, but it was the only thing you hadn’t washed since then. It used to drag along the sand and get dirtied up, but now it fit like a glove.
“(L/N), where have you gone?” Your mother’s cries erupted into the air at the same time as a deafening roar that shook your house and caused many wooden trinkets to fall down. You had to ignore her - you were the only one you knew who could quell the beast. You heard a crash, and as soon as you opened your window and began to climb out, something large hit your house. As your own shook violently, you grabbed the edge of your roof and swung yourself up.
You saw that another house had been thrown into your own! Your own room was unaffected, but half the house was demolished. The kitchen your mother worked so hard to keep clean, your older sibling’s room, your parent’s as well…
You forced down tears.
-Flashback-
“I love your hands,” You cooed as the boy whined, insecure about most parts of himself. His six fingered appendages curled slightly, but you wiggled your own to intertwine with his. It wasn’t perfect, but he cherished your soft, smaller ones as his cheeks heated up. His mask was good for one thing, at least, since you were just so flirty with him.
You were only ten or eleven at the time, playing around in the woods near the beach. Thick foliage covered you in a makeshift grotto.
“(F/N), (F/N)!” Your mother dragged your name out. She was far away, but you knew you had heard her calling. You sighed, letting go of him.
“W-Wait, don’t go just yet,” He whispered, and you perked up with wide eyes.
“Why so, Bubaigawa?” He swallowed hard. He needed to make sure you knew this before you left once again, not to be seen for at least another week.
“You need to know the truth,” He gripped the edges of his shirt, not looking at you, “About me, that is. You’ve only seen me like this.”
“Okay,” You nodded, whispering back as to give you more time before your mother could find you. He was always so bouncy, so lively, but now he was collected and nervous. He took a step away from you, nodding to himself.
Without another word, the boy’s skin began to turn turquoise. His nails grew, his size increased about twice as much, and he dropped to the ground. At first, you thought he was becoming ill. Before you could reach down to help him, his neck suddenly grew upwards! A head burst from it, splitting his head open from the back and being followed by more. At least six heads came out, and each of them were mask less and inhuman.
The heads were elongating, becoming narrower and sharper. Your heart pounded as wings also split his back open and pounced out. His previous head formed into that of a dragon, and the others took their own distinct shapes of slightly different dragon heads. The first, the one you knew so well that was on the ground, lifted up to join the others. They all independently studied you, moving around each other, under and over, and blinking with their wide, white eyes.
Finally, yours opened his own, and you could sense the fear in them, “Run if you want to, (F/N),” The voice was still his own, but it was soon joined by the others. They had roughly the same voice, but just in varying tones and expressions.“No, kill her!”“Don’t, she likes us.”“Just wait and see, she’ll r-”“Silence,” The main head quieted them.
“I… You’re a dragon?” You deadpanned, in wonder at the beautiful creature before you. Was it still really him? “Bubaigawara?”
“Yes,” He held remorse in his voice. He knew that he could have spent years without you knowing, but he had fallen in love with you. Adolescence didn’t last long for his species, but for dragons, not long aligned just about with human aging until he reached his prime, “Are you scared of us?”“She’s scared, look at her, she’s frail.”“She isn’t shaking.”
“No,” You took a second to respond. You didn’t believe this man, this dragon, would hurt you, “I’m okay with it, I can’t hate you,” You promised. You promised him, and he would never forget that promise.
-End Flashback-
You used the other house to jump along, the flood being too high for you to run to where you needed to go. As the tide got higher, you saw many people unable to swim. You knew that nothing would change if you didn’t do this.
So you ran, housetop to housetop, jumping, grabbing roof edges and pulling yourself up. The farther you ran, the higher up you got until you reached the top of the flood. You climbed down from the abandoned house, bare feet plopping onto the wet, grassy ground. You sprinted, running to the next house and reading the sign on the front porch to make sure you were going in the right direction. Another roar pierced the skies, and a bolt of lightning illuminated multiple long, slender necks that raised a couple hundred yards into the sky.
Your town was near a beach that was uninhabited. The land itself was raised up, and about a mile away was the real beach. Directly behind the town was how to safely visit the sandy shores, but to the other side was were the land raised into hills that faded into trees. There was a corner to the beach that raised high enough to be a cliff, and that cliff held no vegetation for a couple yards behind it, just rocks. The woods were quite big, but also dangerous if you didn’t know how to traverse them, but the beach behind them was said to hold better fishing and clearer waters.
You could confirm that it did. You used to run away a lot when you were a kid.
-Flashback-
Rumours had spread of a sea beast living in the waters. Apparently it had attacked a boat, killing one man and injuring the rest, leaving them to shovel water out of the boat until they got back to shore.
As a young teenager, you couldn’t help but to be curious.
“Bubaigawara,” You called the lively dragon, and he poked his head out from behind the tree he had just run to. You were trying to play tag, but the fast body of the human boy was just too enhanced by being inhuman.
“Yeah?”
“Did you attack a ship yesterday?” You inquired, running towards him with a smile on your face. Strangely, he didn’t run away, and you ended up tackling him to the ground. He wasn’t laughing, though. You rolled off of him, wiping the leaves and grass off of you as he pulled his legs under him and you turned to watch him skeptically.
“Well, yeah, they sailed into my hunting grounds. I tried to talk it out, but uh… talking dragon, (Y/N),” He chuckled, not looking at you. You had learned to tell by the position of his mask.
“Bubaigawara, they’re going to hunt you,” You chewed on your bottom lip, and he scooted closer to you. You did the same, and soon your noses were nearly touching.
“You should just call me Jin,” He looked down at you, being significantly larger and taller. You yelped as he pulled you onto his lap, hugging you.
“Uh-Jin? Is that your first name?” You squeaked in the bone-crushing hug. He nodded, and when he let go, you scrambled off of him while panting to get your breath back.
“Yup! Bubaigawara is the Hydra family name,” He followed you, and you glared at the feisty teenager. He had gained so much energy and spunk over the last couple years.
“Don’t crush me,” You warned, and he whined while lightly leaning against you, “Aw, come on Bu - Jin, somebody died!”
“They attacked me, and they tried to kill me,” He shook his head, and you sighed. Grabbing his hand and holding all six digits, you tried to convey a bit of seriousness to him.
“Be careful, alright?” You looked directly into the semi-clear part of his cloth that covered his eyes. He nodded quickly.
“Of course, (F/N),” He paused, then perked up, “Let’s have lunch.”
After that, there were a couple search parties sent out to try and find and kill him. A couple wounded him a week later, and that was when you had to say your goodbyes to him. That was five years ago
-End Flashback-
You reached the woods, using the moonlight to walk along nearly-forgotten paths. Pines stuck to your feet, and you knew you had to be bleeding from multiple places as branches whipped your arms and legs, but you dredged on.
This wasn’t the first time the village had flooded, but it was the first time that it was this much. He, the hydra, must have something to do with it.
Minutes passed. Come on, you don’t have much time. Just when you thought that you had made a wrong turn, you passed by a burnt tree stump. You remembered him burning it one day when he was in his dragon form and playing around. One of the heads got angry and felt left out, so it burned the tree down. You fondly remembered coddling it until it calmed down.
He must have more now. They used to grow quickly, a couple each year. You were sprinting now, adrenaline fueling you and making you ignore the pain of the journey.
It might have taken you hours to reach it originally, but as the clearing came up, it had almost been twenty minutes. You finally reached the rocky cliff face, and you looked to your left to see the full picture before you.
It was hard to see in the darkness, but a towering creature the size of half of a small mountain was standing just before the waves hit the beach. With the flooding, it was hard to tell just how tall it was, but he heads were the size of single shop, with more than you could count. When another streak of lightning hit the sky, you saw that only a couple heads were attacking the town now, and most of the buildings were either ruined or gone.
The ones farther inland were rough, but still standing. As you stared, he took another step closer inland, more heads leaning down to attack. You waved your arms, screaming for his attention. Among the chaos down below, the dragon wasn’t paying attention to you.
Any flames the heads produces were quickly put out by the rain, but the damage was already done. Soon, you would have no home to go to. This might be the only way to stop the destruction.
“JIN!” You screamed his name, and a bundle of his heads turned towards you. Instead of fear, relief washed over you, and you felt to your knees in joy, “Jin, over here!”
Suddenly, all the heads turned to you. The humongous creature you used to cuddle in the bushes with stopped its raging, and the heads rose up to join the others. He stomped your way, the water splashing so high that it reached you, but you were already doused. Dark turquoise heads barely had to lower themselves to reach you, and soon you were surrounded by them.
Their voices were eerily familiar, but much deeper and more ominous now.“She dare speak to us?”“Hush, he’s coming.”“Do you not know her? She’s the one we used to know.”“You idiot! She’s the one we used to love.”“Can’t you smell it? She is, she is!”
“(F/N),” A single, slightly larger head poked through the others, and you recognized it at once.
“Jin, you - why are you doing this?” You pushed yourself up, walking to the edge of the cliff to meet him. His eyes were nearly the side of you, and you reached a single hand out to place on his snout.
“They chased me away. Your people chased me away,” Being so close, his voice was nearly deafening, “They separated us, and now they must pay,” His laughter, along with a couple others, filled the air.
“No, Jin, you have to stop,” You shouted, and a growl resonated out of him.
“Stop? I’m nearly finished. Soon your people will leave, and I will claim this land for myself-”
“You could have killed me too!” You tried to pretend to be surprised, but you knew what his answer was.
“I knew you were coming to me,” A twinge of obsession laced his voice, “I’ve been thinking about you for so long, and now you’re here, just like last time. Just like before. Isn’t it wonderful?”“It’s so wonderful.”“No, we want to continue killing!”“Destroy, destroy!”
“Just take me with you,” You had no other choice, “Leave the village, and I’ll go with you, all of you,” You glanced at the heads around you. Each of them studied you, watched you, and many of them bared their sharp teeth with wicked smiles. He wouldn’t hurt you, you knew that. You still knew that.
“We want this land for ourselves, for you,” He lowered his voice at the end, and you shook your head, slowly petting the scales of his snout.
“No, Jin, my people may have hurt you before, but you can be the better person,” You glanced down at the sliver of town you could see, “Enough people have died today. We should go now.”
“Now?” He inquired, his large white eyes narrowing. You nodded, feeling a twinge of fear as the other heads began to get riled up.“No, more!”“She speaks nonsense, kill her!”“Do not kill her, take her and destroy the rest!”“This is our land!”
“We could have an island, or… or a cave, even, Jin. Maybe a mountain in the sea,” You rested your head against his lips that were big enough for you to do so.
“Will you be lonely, (F/N)?”
“Never with you,” You tried to laugh to lighten his spirits. The heads quieted when you did, seeming to like the sound.
“Then let’s go!” He suddenly leaned forward, and you looked around for somewhere to grab onto. Quickly spotting some glands, you pulled yourself on top of his head, holding on for dear life.
-
You hoped that your town was alright after that, but you knew that those stubborn people would rebuild just like any day. As it turned out, Jin had a large mountain in the ocean that he lived in. It had a small collection of gold, diamonds, jewels, and other things. Dragons hoarded things, and you remembered him bringing you stuff like fruit before he could… steal it.
Once you were back on the ground, you sat down and watched as the other heads spoke to one another, some watching you and the others inquiring about you to Jin.
Soon enough, he shushed the rest of them, coming down to you, “We’re back together, (F/N).”
“How could I ever forget a dragon?” You giggled, and he hummed and nodded. Then, he began to shrink, the heads shouting in feeble protest as they combined and combined once again. You walked closer as he became the size of a tree, then the size of an eight foot tall man. He had choppy, blond hair, and the same piercing white eyes as before. You glanced away quickly, knowing he would be naked.
He hummed to himself as he walked to his pile and moved a couple helmets and trinkets aside to grab a poncho. His head kept splitting on one side or the other, another head trying to pop out. It had a built in mask that halted them, and after pulling it on, he also grabbed some loose cotton pants.
“Do they like me?” You looked back at him, and he paused before nodding.
“Yeah, they do. Some of them don’t know you, but none of them dislike you,” You tentatively reached out to touch his arm, and he grabbed your wrist, causing you to squeak. He instantly let go.
“Oh, sorry, that wasn’t me,” He shook his head, “They’ve gotten worse since I left you.”
“I’m here now, Jin,” You placed your hand on his arm, and then rubbed it with your thumb. He sighed calmly.
“You must be exhausted, I have uh… a bed in the back,” He glanced behind you, then began to walk. You followed, and he shook his head once more.
“Do you like berries? There’s a lot of them here, but that’s about I have. I also fish, and there’s another town a day’s journey east,” He began to chat, and you fell back into your old rhythm of interjecting sometimes. Now, though, a lot of his topics were casually villainous in a sense, “And I burned part of the town down because of it.”
You didn’t say anything to that. He had changed, he had grown resentful of humans, but somehow you still were his world. He wrapped you in a blanket, blowing out the torches around the large back room, and left the room to let you sleep. You didn’t catch a wink.
