#seriously love and appreciation for quirkle2's specific zombie au 1000 years I just want to express that before goign off on my own tangent

ok SO Rika @quirkle2 has this. absolutely incredible mob psycho 100 zombie apocalypse AU that everyone should go check out immediately. by everyone I mean everyone who's into mob psycho 100 and not bothered by zombie stories, which probably is approximately 2 of my followers but that's okay. SO.

zombie au. absolutely rewired my brain. because of everything about it, but the key that got me (a certified zombie media avoider) to go insane about it was the fact that zombies are still human. they don't lose their personhood. they're still "in there", if you will; being a zombie is a disease that rewires your brain and changes your body. Zombies are ridiculously strong, they don't feel pain, their capacity for language is buried under thick mental fog, and they're slow to process and respond to stimuli. But they're still people.

AND LIKE I SAID I'M FROTHING AT THE MOUTH ABOUT THE POSSIBILITIES THAT KIND OF ZOMBIE LORE PRESENTS. and specifically for mob psycho 100. Specifically the idea of Mob being turned into a zombie and Ritsu being unable to kill him, so he takes Mob along on a journey for a cure that kind of wrecks both of them in the process. And I got to thinking about what this kind of zombie lore would do to the mp100 story as a whole, if you tried to match zombie powers to psychic powers, and what about ghosts, could you keep the Mogami arc somehow, and how could you fit Dimple into this whole thing? and wait what if the cure for zombie-hood left Mob with zombie strength still, what if that could be the equivalent of psychic powers....?

and at that point I realized I was thinking of something related to quirkle2's zombie au—building on the same foundation, but in a whole different direction—and it would be fun to actually turn that into a fleshed-out au. so!!! with Rika's go-ahead (thanks) I'm documenting my own zombie au here.
