#seriously can't believe someone could be offended by me saying citing original sources is important

To the multiple mutuals/anons who reached out to me with links and screenshots from Weibo, y’all are sweet as hell and thanks for having my back! Also, my mom would be 1) proud that I actually clicked on a Weibo link for once (“you click on your dad’s French hockey links!”), but 2) less proud that my Chinese reading skills remain poor (”that’s why I read dad’s hockey links and not your Chinese cinema news, mom 😭”).

I won’t repost any of them because I have no intention of perpetuating any kind of drama. I made my stance clear that appropriate crediting of photos/edits is important to me. When it’s pointed out that it hasn’t been done properly, I prefer to either credit appropriately if possible or remove if an original source cannot be identified.

But it’s super sweet of all of you to reach out, and thanks for all the kind words! I just think it’s important to credit photographers/original sources; that was not meant to offend anyone (or send anyone into a spiral on Weibo), but what I thought was simply basic etiquette. Regardless, 谢谢你们!
