#seems having to learn about WW2 in detail back in school didn't keep us from repeating our mistakes

Wirh the rise of far right sentiments in Europe I'm beginning to make backup plans, should a new fascist regime take over and repeat what happened in germany ~80 years ago.

I really hope that in the election in Fall, enough people will vote against the far right parties, in my country but seeing how the EU Election turned out, I'm not optimistic. Over the last two years Anti-Muslim, Racist and Anti-LGBTQIA+ Sentiment online and in public has grown drastically and ever since the election, it increased even more.

I'm really scared that this is the beginning of a second Nazi regime, because the parallels are terrifying.

In two years I'll have finished my nursing degree. I'll try to finish it, hoping that I'll stay save during this time. Once I have it finished, I'll work overtime as much as i can until i have about 10.000€ on the side. Luckily I already have a job in nursing, earning enough to set about 100€ to the side each month, due to night shift bonuses. Once my degree is finished, I'll earn 2000€ more per month than i do now, so if everything goes as planned, in 2,5 Years I'll have 10.000€ saved. I think that's enough to move abroad into a country, that's more accepting like maybe one of the scandinavian countries. I hope Austria stays safe for minorities until then.

Anyways, if push comes to shove, I think my Family would support me financially to move to somewhere safe earlier as planned, guess i have to talk to them aboutthat possibility.

I really hope it won't come to that though. Kinda funny, just a year ago i finally came out publically and to my parents and now all of this happens.
