we already know tgcf is a fantastic and unrealistic romance but I love this scene bc it's so blatant about it hc is like 'hmmm nope! if you idealize the RIGHT person you're fine! living entirely for someone else is totally great!' and then he's vindicated by the narrative so yes DO idealize your romantic partner they CAN do no wrong you SHOULD literally worship them you WILL have a perfect happy ending l m a o
