Saved was a funny movie. It has some things that didn’t age well at all like the movie mocking Hilary Faye for being fat when she was younger. But it was still a fun movie. I can’t believe there was a lot of celebrities in the movie that I recognized.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but Mandy Moore did great in this movie. She played the awful Christian hypocrite so well. Probably the only movie where she wasn’t awful in her role.

I was laughing way too hard at this part and it’s still pretty funny:

i just watched Saved! (2004), would recommend. here is a not-in-depth review. i liked these things about it:

cassandra and roland the line "I crashed my van into jesus" deconstruction of fundamentalism the scene where mary is in the ambulance and the three lads are at the door and dean says "I'm the father" Patrick says "I'm the boyfriend" mitch, confused, says "I'm his boyfriend" and the paramedic Does Not Have Time For These Boys when her mum shoves them out of the way and climbs in instead patrick's hair, even though I feel I shouldn't entire ending scene was particularly adorable the carpenter being jesus (ayyyyy) veronica's sick blue hair at prom the vespa. i have succumbed to the vespa propaganda proliferated by Penelope (2006)

I did not enjoy as much:

pastor skip. bad vibes and bad hair. but his indecisiveness compels me mary's necklace at prom the massive jesus outside the school
