“She should be coming back this week.” Takeshi placed the duster down to take a quick look at the calendar. How long has it been since his family had been together? Probably many months ago? Every now and then Takeshi’s mother would call, making sure that his dad wasn’t leaving everything to him. Not that the man wouldn’t dare do that to his son. Surprisingly, the teen was good at household chores and even cooking. Of course that’s not to say it was that easy at the start. Especially those times he had accidentally mixed the color with the whites and burned or even over seasoned each meal. Just as Takeshi was reminiscing about the past, the door opened. “I’m home.”
