Hi friends! 😸 While those who know me know my theriotypes, I thought it would be fun to share the therian, otherkin, and fictionkin types I have been questioning! Since I’m including details about them and pictures, I’ll add a “more” tag for y’all’s scrolling sake!

Questioning Theriotypes:

1.) Sabertooth Tiger

I am very drawn to the time period where they existed, and I often experience strong fang sensations where it feels like my fangs are jutting out of my mouth— similar to how Sabertooth tiger fangs are!

To be honest, I’m very close to just calling myself a feline cladotherian, as I see myself in just about all cats. Lol! (I’m holding off though until I can tell for sure though.)

2.) Gray Wolf

Fun fact: When I was 13 and first identified as a therian, I identified as a wolf! However, I think I strayed from it due to my thinking that I was more of a wolf otherlink as opposed to a wolf therian. Which may be the case, but who knows. Much of my favorite media revolves around wolves, my comfort trinket I bring everywhere is a howling wolf, and I think one of my favorite dreams was when I was a gray wolf running through the snow and exploring a new town with my pack. Experiences like these can definitely get you thinking you’re a wolf yourself!

Questioning Otherkin Types:

1.) Faerie

My outward appearance greatly resembles what one typically perceives a faerie to be. I am small and delicate. I walk on little feet. My golden hair is wavy and always down. I often go for a very natural appearance. I love flowy dresses of springtime colors. I love wearing flower crowns and dainty jewelry. I was born to roam amongst the meadows and the forests. Within the Pixie Hollow universe, I strongly relate to animal faeries who take care of the creatures. Truthfully, I think many of my friends do perceive me as a faerie.

Questioning Fictionkin:

1.) Laios Touden from Dungeon Meshi

I don’t know what it is about this guy that made me grasp onto him so easily, but he is me and I am him! See, while I kin fictional characters, I’ve never considered myself fictionkin, as no character out there is 100% like me, and in my head, they need to be in order for me to call myself them. However! Laios is the exception. While we aren’t 100% alike, I really do perceive myself like him frequently. And oftentimes when I complain about not having the kin of a “cooler” character like a massive beast or a mighty animal, I often realize how incredibly in-character it is and how I need to kick myself over it. I’ve also had MULTIPLE dreams where I have been Laios, one of which I could shapeshift from Laios into a massive yellow lion.. who could also form Voltron. Again, sometimes I feel like I kin him again my will.

What my therianthropy means to me.

I'll start by saying that yeah I'm a therian and my Animal is an Alpha Werewolf/Wolf.

I'm also a furry dragon Sabertooth cat and Werewolf and Werewolf fursuiter.

I found the therian community well after becoming a furry so in reverse rather most. My therianthropy has always been present and was always on par with my human side, they'd always work hand and hand where one can take charge and the other took a back seat.

Personally I never really could understood people but as far as animals I understand them in a way I can't describe. In a way I also noticing that in some ways a part of me just becomes overwhelmingly excited whenever the sun goes down almost like what's said of lycanthropy but not in the rawest definition. More like without transformation of the mind or body but more like the true and real me has just woken up and needs to run around, hunt, play and do all the things a Werewolf/Wolf needs to do. In a way I see myself 50/50 Man and Beast a strange cooperation of human intelligence and resources combined with animalistic primal power and aggression.

These 2 entities work in harmony with each other knowing one does not survive without the other in some way.

Example if this were real life lycanthropy and I was capable of physically shifting between Man and Beast and if you killed me in Werewolf/Wolf form, you've also killed me as a human. This is the best way I can explain my therianthropy the beast survives within the humanity just as much as the human takes shelter within the primative Den of the beast as their one in the same being only one physical and the other more spiritual as if man was blessed with the soul of an animal.

I can't explain it any better than this and starting to rant analogies but I will say this it's easier to experience and feel it in your heart and bones than it would be to explain it. Thanks for listening all and you have yourselves and great Howltober
