I was thinking about his speech before the final boss fight and

I think what draws me to him is that strong sense of determination he has. He's so full of just sheer willpower and spirit. It's the feeling of knowing that you're meant for something bigger, something more than what you have. This scene is so special to me and hearing him talk about it was really awesome.

#ash rambles 💚#balls out ⚽️⚽️#he's just so... strong. determined #maybe it's because i tend to take a very passive role in my life and never really do anything for myself but. the way he goes off the rails #and almost singlehandedly puts into motion so many of the key events of the game is something that reallu resonated with me #and i do think that s.aejima saw a younger him in k.ido #someone who felt as though they were destined for greatness #his character is just so cool to me!#this fight never felt antagonist to me. it felt like one yakuza legend addressing another #this relationship has always felt like a mentor and his student. s.aejima even calls him a tiger! and thats important since. you know.#s.aejima's back tattoo being a tiger and and all #and the 'it would be an honor' line is probably one of my favorite lines from the franchise #he says something similar when he meets k.iryu too #there's just this undying will to be something greater than you are #he's... such a cool character #also i wanna be his gf but this post is just me thinking about his character #but man he is dreamy...
