“And I hope you don’t drink coffee!” Ellie burst out laughing, “The water here is horrible. It tastes like dirt.”

“I’m not a big coffee drinker, actually.” Celine replied, nonplussed, “And what can really be the difference between here and the inn?”

Why did I let Marsha talk me into this? Aaron wondered as he saw his niece being harassed by one of the townsfolk, That’s the last time I let Marsha plant ideas in my brain after a few bottles of wine.

“This house is haunted, you know.”

“Huh?” Celine didn’t know this over-eager woman, who was she and why was she smiling like that while talking so intently about the paranormal? 

“Haunted. You know, ghosts, ghouls, spooky things. They’re everywhere.”

“Well, like I said, it’s not just those two.” Anita grinned, “Both the girls are back with their husbands and families.”

Alina sneered, “Marsha McAllister got herself hitched? Who’d have thought it, eh?”

“She’s looking pretty well for herself, actually. And she’s bagged herself a bit of a looker... Somehow.”

“Any kids?”

Anita shook her head, “Not for Marsha. Different story for Hayley, though. She’s got two. About the same age as mine I reckon. The oldest one does not look very happy about being here.”

“You said families, though. If Marsha doesn’t have kids who else does she have with her?”

Anita shrugged, “A woman, her husbands sister, apparently. Though, why she’s tagged along I’m not sure.”

“And are they planning on staying?”

There was a moment of silence before Anita spoke again, “I guess we’ll have to wait and see.”

But even though the Farmer/Caffera wedding was fairly uneventful, and for once the town seemed to be pootling along nicely with little drama, there was a whole new obstacle in store.

A new (or old?) family has set foot in Sunshine Valley...

It was the day of the mayoral election announcement, and families and friends of Marsha and Alina were scattered around the Moore residence.
