They hadn't let him into Gerudo Town. It was hard to think about such a fact without an associated pout, because the frustration went much deeper than that. He knew the princess didn't want him around, could barely tolerate the sight of him, but he also didn't want to shirk his duty, couldn't even bear the thought of something happening to her because he wasn't by her side to protect her.

The nervous energy singing up and down his spine wouldn't allow him to sand still, pacing steps working a small divot in the shifting sands in front of the Gerudo settlement. The tension gnawed at his gut, chasing away his appetite even as sweat beaded his brow with the noonday sun. Sharp blue eyes looked towards the gate every so often, half-hoping to be able to spot something a miss, but knowing even if he did he wouldn't be able to help.

And the princess hadn't even come to see him yet.

A familiar form appeared at the gate with the next glance, the Gerudo Chieftain Urbosa, and Link's breath caught in his throat. Almost tripping over his steps, he jogged to her side, keeping a wary eye on the guards. His left hand formed the letter P, tapping it to his left shoulder, right shoulder, and then slashing diagonally down his chest. << Princess? >> Was she alright? Did she need him?
