queer tme ppl when they see an extremely transmisogynist TERF movement in a different country: "this is so punk rock" "based" "heck yea" "faith in humanity restored" "this is so cool to see" "literal history happening there right now"
#im not gonna lie seeing that post has almost 30k notes makes me not feel any safer here#i can just hope that most of these are ruisa's addition#but just going through the notes theres SO MANY tme queers cheering this shit on like ???#so you hate trans women. cool#transmisogyny#jeady rambles#these are all from the tags and reblogs of that post#the version without the edition the one that says 'no this is definitely not a terf movement just ignore them literally saying transfems ar#male spies and checking new members for adams apples and shit'

As a Cthulhutech player, this discussion about Lancer is v interesting to me because CT is just nakedly disinterested in any progressive messaging despite being set in a v similar universe (including being able to build robot suits, though that's hardly the point of Lancer!)
this is what's wild, right, this is an entirely self created problem. all the weird stuff in lancer like NHPs and megacorps and clone slavery would be cool and interesting if it wasn't bizarrely embedded in a text that keeps grinding to a halt to call this world a progressive utopia

sorry to keep making you think about this but the whole thing drives me insane like. it's transmisogyny to criticize anyone's kink ever but during that whole debacle (or any other previous one tbh this keeps happening for some reason) we have never heard a word from that crowd about the fact that it's always black people getting called cops and fascists and bootlickers whenever they stand their ground. but that probably doesn't mean anything
yeah i don’t think this means anything it’s not like white women and nonblack women n general dont do this kind of stuff when questioned about defending racism and such
#the ruisa person is most interesting for continuing to asert i only went after ratliker bc of her being trans instead of the genocide-#denial and general antiblackness#like this is um. well. not shocking#if u hear a slur from me saying ur white or nonblack and that’s what making u act that way then idk girl#✉️

Wait we had a war with Korea??
In all seriousness though, it is hard for people to learn about something when they don't know it happened. And not many people think to research this kind of thing, even if they should!! History is a sort of non-tangible idea to many people rather then the very real reality that impacts all of us. And people will often prioritize their daily lives over researching something they view that way.
This is of course, me being very charitable. I just want to highlight that it can also be out of lack of access to information/resources and having different priorities. It is still VERY important to educate yourself on what you can and we want to encourage learning about things like this even on a surface level!
There is obviously people who don't want to learn or see it as irrelevant which is equal parts sad and Incredibly frustrating.
And then there's people like the Twitter OP. People who KNOW at least the base level of the war and choose to be obtuse and daft about it. I think we can ALL agree on throttling them because
ALL WAR IS BAD, DIPSHIT!
every day i feel driven insane by the self assured incurious cruelty of liberal americans lmao. is killing literally 1/3 of a countrys population with carpet bombing somehow a good war? a huge portion of american society is completely incapable of perceiving the rest of the worlds population as human in the same way as them
#anyways#encourage curiosity and educating people on even a basic level of events#dont be like me! the local fool who had no clue we even WENT to war with Korea#despite watching MASH as a young child with my war buff dad#i was focused on Klingers dresses okay#also thank you miss ruisa for the resources!!! Thats very helpful and your effort despite frustration is greatly appreciated

I know @ruisa-faa is more optimistic about japanese attitudes toward lgbt issues than I honestly am, but I really feel like people need to understand that homophobia in Japan is Confucian in character, and what that means in short is that it's not based in a vitriolic characterization of The Heterosexual as a filthy abomination, but rather as treating the serious engagement in a non-heterosexual life, which treats engagement with male lovers as mere dalliances to a core heterosexual marriage, as a violation of ones social responsibility and most of all a violation of filial piety, and what that means is that things that don't necessarily Seem homophobic to a western eye are, in my honest opinion, often more homophobic than they seem

people on here will reblog a post after reading half of it and never finish it afterwards, even if the second half of the post completely contradicts the first half. which would be bad enough, but then theyll add tags agreeing with the first half! this isn't even a joke! sorry to keep harping on the 4B feminism post but after i reblogged the version with @ruisa-faa 's excellent writeup/takedown/explanation of how it's explicitly transmisogynistic, i STILL had someone reblog it from me with tags along the lines of "#you go girls! #to read later". we are not making it out of [gesticulates vaguely in all directions] this, i fear
