more whumpees that are absolute shitheads. they make problems, they disobey, they argue. there’s no excuse for it — they just suck a little. let my whumpees be a little rude (or a lot!). i would love to see more objectively morally gray characters. ones that hurt the ones around them intentionally or otherwise and are held accountable for it.

whumper who fakes whumpee's death to get caretaker off their trail, knowing that they're close. they don't tell the whumpee, however. caretaker is mourning the death of their loved one, the whumpee is cracking under whumper's manipulation. whumper mocks them about the lack of search efforts, maybe showing whumpee the caretaker's social medias or such -- whumpee has been abandoned. they have to get themself out.

months later, whumpee finally escapes and discovers the truth. they find themself unable to return, though, overridden by guilt over how they believed all the terrible things whumper said about caretaker. they're different now, also. if caretaker and whumpee reunited, would caretaker even recognize them? caretaker has grieved already, wouldn't it be cruel to make them mourn whumpee again? the version of them that survived was not the one that was lost. maybe it is better to leave caretaker in the dark...

picture this, you're me, queues up a shit ton of posts bright-eyed and cheery like "hell yeah im gonna get back into the whump community!" two days pass or so, i instantly go into a schoolwork-induced daze and don't check tumblr for a bit as my queue runs. i come back and to my utter shock i find almost 200 notes on my prompt. i feel so seen... you guys also like shithead whumpees... such joy is in the air! i return
