I would just like to thank you for loving Louis and Lestat equally. You always do both parties justice. I can see in your writing how much love, empathy, and respect you have for both characters, which is one of the reasons you are one of my favorite writers.

That’s very sweet, anon. I do love Louis and Lestat very much. I love them and try to understand their characters and simply enjoy what goes on more than anything. I love the craziness of Lestat and the way Louis remains controlled most times. I love the yin and yang and the way they balance each other out. I love the way these two souls are forever drawn to one another despite everything that goes down between them. Even at the end of the world, they’ll find each other and go out hand in hand.

I love them. Is Lestat frustrating as hell? Yes. But I adore the journey he goes on and I cannot wait to see the way that journey comes to life on our beloved show. God, I miss it so much. I’ve never loved a show as much as I love iwtv. Nothing has ever gotten to me like this show! The love for the books has come and gone but damn, this show!!!!

I equally cannot wait to see the way Louis grows in season two and changes into who he is in the present. Jacob is incredibly talented and he’s going to make me break down and cry many many many times. To see the sorrow and the rage and small moments of joy and wonder before the tragedy of it all will make my brain chemistry 🔥☄️🔥

Hi there, anon. Firstly, thank you. Suckerpunch is my pride and joy and I am glad you have been able to enjoy it.

Secondly —

Lestat would be absolutely broken if Louis died. Louis and Nicolas are two completely different loves to Lestat. Nicolas was Lestat’s first love. That’s always special. They ended so tragically and I am sure Lestat will always keep a piece of Nicki with him no matter what. First loves can really leave their mark.

Louis is Lestat’s soulmate. Louis is Lestat’s perfect match in mind and in heart. They work well together. They are yin and yang. Where Lestat is capricious, Louis is clear minded. He is more likely to take a better approach in decision making etc. The love they share is deep and it is endlessly existing between them. They share a heart. Lestat says it himself, there is a cord, one that exists between them and even if Louis cannot see it, it is real.

Lestat would be forever changed if Louis died. I am not saying he would not try again one day because everyone deserves to be loved but I believe, one hundred percent, that it would be quite different. Lestat would always keep Louis in his heart but I also believe Louis would want Lestat to go on and love again and again and again.

Hello, anon. I have a few ideas brew it about but I also do have some works in progress.

My company of wolves/red riding hood au is being written. I am in the process of writing chapter two. I have plans and I hope I am able to get them all out properly.

I am also slowly writing part two of my modern Loustat series wedding one shot. I’m not married myself, but I’ve got some ideas about a vampire wedding. I am very much needing them to marry in the newly renovated Rue Royale with their desired guests present. Armand and Daniel will of course attend.

Now, I a planning to write a proper version of the reverse Loustat au in which Louis is the vampire and Lestat is the human. It will end up being multi chapter but I do hope it comes together as I am envisioning it. Fingers crossed. I’m so excited because I absolutely love the idea of a human Lestat meeting and falling for a vampire Louis. Hehe.

Lastly, I am still writing my Lestat’s birthday memories multi chapter. Part three is being written and will likely be updated tomorrow if all goes well.

There’s other things going on and ideas being created but these are my focus.

I will say after completing Suckerpunch, I still feel a bitter sweetness when writing. I miss my coffee boys but I am proud I was able to complete their tale and give them the happy ending I envisioned from the very beginning.

this is dumb but i have a writing question and i’m asking you bc you’re my favorite writer in the fandom lol. when you post something you’re rlly proud of, how do you follow it up? i posted what i think is the best thing i’ve ever written and now i don’t have the courage to post anything else bc i feel like nothing will be as good? idk if that makes any sense but if you have advice i’d appreciate it 😭

This does make sense to me. It makes complete sense to me! And I feel this way all the time. I promise. I always think I cannot top a fic because nothing I write will be as good or as well received. It’s how I feel about Suckerpunch. I feel like no one will like anything else I write as much. And I stay in this headspace and it starts to really grate on me.

I have so many ideas and I do eventually get them out and guess what? People do in fact enjoy them! Sure some fics are better and more popular and have more interactions/kudos but there will always be others who enjoy what you write! It’s all about preference.

I also want to add that some fics I have written I really did believe were my best ever and then I wrote others that I realized I liked even more. You need to just trust yourself. I am sure everything will work out so well.

I also wish I knew what you wrote because I’d love to read it. 💖
