I saw your Doctor biting post recently and it’s been stuck in my brain ever since. Do you think the companions would bite too?

donna and clara would take a little bit to warm up to it, but they'd be ones to bite back, absolutely. amy, too, cause amy bites, canon, but it might be a bit before that holds the same ritual importance as the doctor biting, before it becomes more than 'the doctor put his hand over amy's mouth to make her be quiet and amy bit him because. well. he put his hand over her mouth.'

i think bill might too, once or twice, because she offers for the doctor to bite her so he would offer back. she'd do it cause she's curious and she'd do it cause he trusts her. i don't know that martha would until later in their friendship. say: not when she says goodbye to him in s3, but when they meet again, absolutely. (also, there's a comic where she meets thirteen, sorry detouring i need to mention it cause i got to skim it at the bookstore the other day. ANYWAY. my point is that i don't think thirteen bites any of her current companions because Issues Girlie. but i think martha, hearing that she's a future doctor, that martha not only survives her but thrives, and seeing that the doctor is, still, despite her smiles, hurting. i think martha would bite thirteen. is what i'm saying. and i think for one moment, thirteen would allow herself the vulnerability of biting back.)

rose gets to bite the doctor during doomsday :) right after he tries to send her away to the other dimension and she comes back :) she bites him for the first time and it means i'm choosing you and this life and everything that comes with it, even what i don't understand but know that's important to you :) it's why he doesn't argue, cause she bites him, and it aches all the way until she slips beyond his fingers and can't keep that promise. bruises while he's running around with donna and i think it fucks him up pretty bad when that bruise fades :)

still learning charley, but oh, i think she would bite eight. charley will yes, and anything. if the doctor bites her, then she'll bite him back. and she'll bite him herself later, nip him to get his attention or fluster him. eight is very biteable can we blame her-

i haven't Finished thirteen's era so leave this opinion subject to change. but. like i said, won't let herself bite her companions, so they don't even know that that's an option, that that's important to her. i don't think ryan or graham ever get the chance or know. but. yaz probably does. yaz probably figures it out. (if she's not told, outright, because the master Does Not Like Her and will bring up clara and her bitey ways if only to mock yaz for not getting to in comparison. (<- guy who hated clara so so much and is now pretending that she was Better, Actually. issues boy.))

maybe she does, once, i'll see about that. i think i'm pretty secure on the doctor never biting back, though.
