Walking around Big Hit's building with a camera following her along with an interviewer from Vogue, Jennie smiled as she heard the next question asked.
'Most interesting nickname you've been named?'
She chuckled at the question. "A Bratz doll,"
'Favorite curse word?'
"I love saying this word. FUCK!"
'What angers you the most?'
"Lately...xenophobia especially regarding K-Pop groups. It irks my soul. I hate it so much,"
'Most expensive thing you've splurged on?'
"I recently got a penthouse in New York," she proudly answered.
'Funniest sibling and why?'
"Vienna. Because she has the best one-liners," Jennie giggled at the memories.

Opening up the door to her studio, she held it for the interviewer as they walked in.

"I still learn about wrestling,"

"So many! On the top of my head, Rihanna, Zendaya, Lady Gaga, G-Dragon, and CL!" she excitedly said as she grabbed a few packs of smarties from her dish bowl and began to eat a few pieces.

"Smarties! Duh! They really need to sponsor me. If I can be blessed with Nike, I will work hard to get Smarties to have me endorse them,"
'What's the funniest thing you read about yourself in the press?'
"Recently? That I'm pregnant. I don't understand why everyone keeps saying that. You clearly see me downing alcohol with my friends,"

Jennie smiled proudly and presented her ring to the camera. "My wedding ring,"

Is there a masterlist of, like, actors and celebrities that have come forward for trans rights?
I know the internet has all sorts of collections of people who've done something messed up and those always depress me but reading about David Tennant being supportive in the face of the UK government and current legislation and stuff really hit me and I'd love to be able to see who else is out there standing up for us and what's right.
If not, here's a list I'm putting together, feel free to add to it or add context in the notes if you want! I'm including celebrities who have affirmed their support for trans family members even if they're not doing other activism. I'm also only listing celebrities I know of, and this list does not in any way endorse any problematic stuff any of them may have done outside of the topic.

The people who see PR in celebs’ love lives got to this point because they hold certain very childish beliefs about relationships and about what pop stars feel about their fans, and also about paparazzi.
So first of all they have an incredibly simplistic view of relationships, which is that a couple should be visibly a couple or else it there is something wrong. Imagine a young teenage girl writing to an agony aunt: ‘My boyfriend won’t hold my hand in public: doesn’t he truly love me?” only there is no agony aunt to tell them to get a grip and that people use different levels of affection at different times - you know, normal stuff that people usually learn really young but these chumps have somehow not. This is where all the ‘he never claims his women’ crap comes from. I suspect they are growing up in really conservative, perhaps very Christian, families where landing a good husband means you have won a prize in life. They need to perform the role of girlfriend as a warning to others to back off, and they need their boyfriends to perform their roles as protection.
Secondly, since they are stunted emotionally, they believe that “the fans” actually have some real measure of control over what pop stars do - in 1D’s case, they fully encouraged this. All the praise of the fans, all the effusive thank yous, all the acknowledgement that the fans know everything - this is what some simple-minded fans cling onto, not the other stuff about boundaries and personal lives etc. It means that they think on some level (of insanity) that the fans and the pop star are working towards the same goal, namely a sort of shared friendship where the fans can advise the star, and he will do what they say. So when the pop star doesn’t share stuff, doesn’t let them IN, they feel a psychological wound, and go on the attack. Sometimes the man gets it; always the woman gets it. (Women are a natural threat: see above.) This is where management fill a role, too: they take the pressure off the need to blame the star himself for rejecting the fans’ clear wishes. Double points if management can be in cahoots with the woman.
Thirdly, they hold intractable beliefs about how the paparazzi industry works, and they cannot be shaken from these. It’s useless to explain that paps have gone on record saying that stars at the very top don’t tend to call them unless they have a very, very specific job that needs doing (I saw a good example of Rihanna announcing her first pregnancy, bump out, head-to-toe Chanel). What paps say is that people calling them for promo are usually at the low end of the fame spectrum, and they have a brand endorsement to do. But because some people call them sometimes, in their simple minds that means all celebs call them always, and every shot that ever appears now is called a pap walk. Half the time they’re just fans with iPhones. It doesn’t help that Backgrid have a couple of times accepted these photos onto their database, from where they’re purchased and published. The ‘low-rent celebs doing a brand endorsement’ might explain why some people are convinced he is actively promoting Lime Bikes. He’s worth £175M but yeah he’s a public bike influencer as well (rolling my eyes).
Here are some truths about Harry: he hates being photographed - according to paparazzi! -so when he looks miserable, it’s not because he’s being forced to be with a particular woman against his will. He doesn’t talk about his relationships and I have absolutely no doubt that every person he’s been with has for a long while been on the same page. He knows how to do PR and he always works hard at promotion so it doesn’t take a genius to work out that if (in an alternate universe, presumably) he ever did do a PR relationship (as if) he would do a good job at it and not scowl at the cameras in sweaty gym gear. He is rarely photographed by fans with Taylor, and currently is rarely photographed by himself as well, so either he’s setting boundaries (good) or he’s not going out as much (not good).
Harry and Taylor being spotted in a bakery or whatever is not going to sell theatre tickets in NY but that’s what those childish nitwits are angling for. It’s pathetic.
It’s cathartic to let all this out but I understand if you prefer not to publish my essay. Thank you.

Besties, Onika Tanya Maraj (despite her MANY problems) was advocating for music artists to be compensated fairly for their music on streaming platforms. Did we all collectively have amnesia????? Because Jay Z created Tidal so that artists could be compensated fairly for their work. Jay Z, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, ETC made it a BIG DEAL to sign onto Tidal in a deliberate act of resistance to streaming services like Spotify and Pandora and made it extremely clear that they thought artists should receive money from streams of their music. If you genuinely believe white woman, Taylor Swift, was the only person advocating for musicians to be compensated for streams then you need to pull your head out of your ass or perform a google search or something. It is genuinely so embarrassing that people erase the work and advocacy of Black people. I’m sorry but this is labor rights advocacy even if the people involved are money hungry, greedy, Capitalist Billionaires. (I don’t think anyone should be a billionaire but that’s not the point of this post (like this is NOT an endorsement of the aforementioned celebrities as people, just an acknowledgment of their work)).
Also, THANK YOU for being one of the only places where we can complain about Taylor and her fans. This is one of the only places on the internet where we can collectively criticize and honestly and factually talk about pop culture.

Warnings: Teen Content. Making out. Plot
Winter Break places a pause to the school year activities but the girls are busy personally. Romanda has Shuri fly to DC to be with her for a week so she can be back to see Riri’s Honors Society Induction. Riri hates the separation so she calls Shuri as soon as she can.
“How was the flight Dove?” “It went smoothly Princess. I went to sleep as soon as the plane took off.” Ri is curled up in her bed wearing one of Shuri’s many hoodies she has acquired. “Baby, how can you sleep literally anywhere? You have got to be aware of what’s going on around you.” “I was fine Princess. I just envision you being with me. That comforts me.”
“You made that up to make me smile. Don’t distract I still worry.” “I know. There's no need I’m safe. Mother wants to congratulate you on your honors society induction. We are so proud of you. How is the speech coming?”
“I have it done. It’s about my Dad, my biggest force to keep creating. Give her my thanks.” “He is in everything you do, just remember. I can’t wait to be there in the front row.” “You better since I’ll be at every home game to see the Panther play.” “Oooh sounds like I’m going to have the best season. With my new good luck charm there.” Another call chimes in and Riri let’s Shuri take the call.
“I will text you later Princess. I love you.” “I love you more.”
The fast switch brings M'Baku’s deep baritone voice over the speaker. He serves as Shuri’s agent and wanted to discuss some endorsements that are on the table. Offers came flying in after the first campaign. This year is crucial for her image and she has a lot of good buzz. “Bro I would rather have an Adidas sponsorship than Reebok. The apparel is more me you know.” “I do like the Adidas agreement better so no issues from me. Baby Sister. Before you ask, you can wear other things recreationally. ”
Shuri laughs full chest. “Aye I’ll get right on picking out my game swag. Second Brotha, is my surprise ready?” A deep bellowy laugh comes through the phone. “Yes Sister, your Christmas surprise is ready. Your softness is showing. Being in love is a beautiful thing, no?”
Shuri drops her head blushing. How she feels for Riri has been known for sometime but it still gives her butterflies. “It is a surreal feeling.” “Well I love to witness your joy. She is a talented young woman. Just make sure you are being responsible.” The last part makes Shuri flustered. “Thank you Brotha. She is my shining star. I am more than responsible.” Humming M’Baku just leaves the comment for now. “We will be in touch Sister.” “Bye Bro.”
Shuri flops on her bed lying on her back looking up to the ceiling. Her mind is all over the place. Especially now. Sometimes she just needs these moments to process everything around her. Her Senior Basketball season is right around the corner. She’s nervous about it for reasons she can’t quite put into words. Maybe she just feels things are going too well. Her classes she even has been painting again, the NIL deal is good, plus she has the girl of her dreams. She wishes her Father could be here for it all, that makes her think of Riri who she knows wishes the same thing.
That wish motivates Shuri to be very intentional about supporting Rihanna, and she knows that Riri thinks the same way. The thought makes her smirk. This surprise she has up her sleeve was not easy to think up. She racked her brain about this for weeks and found the perfect thing. She hopes.
Ironically Riri is thinking in a similar fashion lying in almost the exact same position. Her mind is wandering thinking of her research, of her induction speech and how she is now loudly and proudly in Love. It’s been a whirlwind but it feels so comfortable. Riri is stuck though on how to surprise her girlfriend for Christmas. Of all the holidays to be stuck she chooses her favorite one to not have a clue of what to do.
The trip to DC was pleasantly quick. Shuri made a point to clear a lot of her business so she can just enjoy the holiday. Riri and Sharon were standing at the airline waiting for a jet lagged Shuri. Once she saw her Princess Shuri swept her up in a tight hug lifting her high into the air with ease. Riri could not help but kiss her and pull her bottom lip just a touch. It speaks with a bit more passion than Sharon could stand. Clearing her throat they split apart gathering Shuri’s things in the car.
“Shuri, please don’t leave home without this girl again ok?” Sharon is jovial as she pulls out of the pick up lane. “Hey! I wasn’t that bad Sha.” “Yes Sister it was that bad, you acted out One Wish in the shower.” The car is full of laughs. “STOOOOP I just missed you is all” Riri whined facing Shuri. “We FaceTimed every night though Princess.” Shuri pecked Ri’s pouting lips. “Aww I’ll just pack you in my luggage next time.” Sharon shakes her head and makes a fake barf sound. “Gross.” The ride home from there was chill.
The chemistry with the families was immediate and genuine. Mrs Williams and Mrs Udaku adore the relationship their daughters have so they support it any way they can. There is an open door policy at both homes but it works for them, neither girl is ready for what happens behind closed doors other than some making out quite yet. That is what they decided in the last conversation but some feelings have been shifting recently. Still no action yet despite the feelings.
This helps to ease Romanada’s mind as she is not home much due to her Diplomatic Duties. The Netflix nights, Friday Dinners and nap dates are all parent approved courting.
It is the day before Christmas Eve and the girls have gotten approved for their first supervised overnight. Shuri will stay at Riri’s then have a family style Christmas Eve Dinner with the Williams’ plus a full Christmas Day. Everyone piles out of the car when Sharon pulls up to the house. It feels so much home for Shuri she even says it.
After getting settled and changed in the Pjs Riri and Shuri build their normal Netflix fort in the front room and cuddle in for a Christmas movie marathon. Riri is sitting between Shuri’s legs leaning on her chest. “Hey Princess, pass the popcorn.” Shuri's voice vibrates on Ri's back as she speaks. Riri picks it up and holds it out, keeping it away looking back with a smirk. “No come get it.” Shuri smirks back leaning up on her knees, she starts to tickle her girlfriend for the bowl. “I’ll get it alright.” Ri sets the bowl down and is full blow gently wrestling now. They roll around a bit with Riri nipping at Shuri’s skin a few times.
They stop as Shuri holds Ri with her on top and the butterflies in their stomach turn to flames with one kiss. Pulling on her bottom lip Shuri slides her tongue into Ri’s mouth and a moan escapes both of their mouths. Shuri’s hands move with more confidence over Ri’s body resting her thumbs under the hem of Ri’s shirt gripping her body closer. Ri’s hands tangle in Shuri’s hair and she pulls at the curls when a new sensation takes over her. Shuri is kissing her neck with a soft bite and sucking. There are several more that follow leaving bruises. Riri bites her bottom lip for dear life to not make too much noise.
Shuri moans against the skin she is bruising with each tug to her hair. “Shit” she says as she pulls away to look at Ri. The look in her eye means Riri wants to try so they roll over leaning Riri on top. Shuri’s hands run up her back as Ri follows the steps Shuri did with a little more flare. She kisses her lips with tongue then pulls at Shuri’s ear. Before biting her neck and licking it some. Shuri breathes out gripping Ri’s back under her shirt. Riri places a soft hand on Shuri’s neck before kissing her on the lips again. Shuri has to push her back some to speak. Breathless. “We need to stop.” Riri giggles while holding her face to hide her blush. Ri realizes that she was rocking her hips a bit into Shuri. Breathless and giggling “Right I’m sorry.”
Laughing as she moves Ri’s hands, Shuri leaves butterfly kisses all over her girl's face. “You don’t have to be sorry, trust me. I just don’t want to wake Sha.” They move to cuddle and get comfy. Shuri is holding onto Ri loosely. “Hey Dove can I ask you something?” “Of course Baby. You can ask me anything.” Shuri picks up on her nervous energy. She breathes out tickling Riri’s neck. “I know tonight is not right but…do you know when you will be ready?” Kissing that same spot on her neck, Shuri wants to reassure Riri. “Baby what are you asking me?” Riri sits up out of Shuri’s arms with a huff. “I just want to know why you stop us every time something gets close to happening? I know I don’t know much but I can learn.” Riri’s head is down, not meeting Shuri’s eyes.
Shuri sits up to face Ri and holds her face to make their eyes meet. “Honestly I have never stopped because of you. I stopped us because of me. What the 2020 map shows is that Biden won because of two things: increased Democratic turnout and the squeezing of the minor party vote. Turnout was up in every state, ranging from a 5% increase in North Dakota to a 31% increase in Arizona. This meant that both Trump and Biden saw their vote rise, but Biden's rose more. Trump's vote rose by 11 million (from 63 to 74 million), while Biden's rose by 15 million compared to Clinton's vote in 2916 (from 66 million to 81 million). In percentage terms, Trump's vote rose by 0.8% (from 46.1% to 46.9%), while Biden's vote (compared to Clinton's vote) rose by 4.4% (from 46.9% to 51.3%). Meanwhile, the vote for minor candidates (who cost both Al Gore in 2000 and Clinton in 2016 their respective elections) fell from 5.7% to 1.8%, and nearly all this vote went to Biden. So, Biden won because (a) he was able to bring more voters to the polls, and (b) because he was able to bring more minor party voters into his column.
