Y'all love the idea of Tamsand, don't you? Or perhaps you love the potential of book 1 Rhysand that SJM wasted. Either way damn. I did not expect that many people to see my shit.

Imma be honest, I loved Book 1 Rhysand. Book 1 Rhysand was such an asshole. He was a horrible person who did shit just because he wanted to and I loved him for it. But then SJM decided to water him down to make him more digestible for majority of the fanbase. She turned him from an unapologetic asshole to a pathetic winged rat that makes 10 page long excuse monologues. She ruined him. Rhysand was peak when he was talking shit to Tamlin and Lucien (my loves) and had murdered two dozen winter court children. But then SJM probably thought that that was a little much for the fans and decided to introduce his "mask" and that he's actually a paragon of virtue who can do no wrong. And I hate it. The narrative/characters/SJM and even his fans bend over backwards to justify Rhysand instead of just letting him do horrible things because he's SUPPOSED TO BE MORALLY GREY! Like let him do bad shit because it's what he needs to do, that's great but afterwards don't tell me how great he is and how he did all those things for good reasons therefore he actually didn't do anything wrong.

And that is why I currently love Eris. Eris is similar to Book 1 Rhysand, or at least I believe him to be. He is an asshole, who does things because it serves him and he doesn't need to spew out a bunch of excuses and I love him. He is so damn sassy and mean and unapologetic. And if SJM makes him Rhysand 2.0, I am going to burn every single book I own of hers.

I can just imagine Elain and Lucien stuck at an Inn. Lucien is hurt, it is raining, they’re both frustrated. Then it all comes out all at once, all the feelings bottled up after all these years.

“I burn for you. I burn for someone who does not feel the same!”

“You burn for me?” Elain asks, one hand placed over her throat.

“Why do you think I went to find Vassa? With no army, no resources? Completely blind into dangerous territory?” He says in a whisper.

Elain takes a step back, her back hitting the wall, shaking her head in disbelief. “I-”

Lucien lowers his head but takes a step forward, closing in on them. He places a hand on the wall behind them. Elain can feel his heat elapse along his skin.

“I’ve burned for you even before I knew you were my mate. I burned for you when I broke out of those restraints. I’ve burned for you the second I laid my eyes on you.”

There was one single pause, and then Elain felt the tug, his heart, his heat.

“I burn for you.” Elain could not believe she said it, that it finally all came out.

Idk, maybe the reason I like Tamlin and Nesta is because they are nuanced, complex characters who admit they have made unjustifiable mistakes and have a whole arc ahead of them that involves apologizing for past actions with no excuses for them, whilst accepting they are able to live for the future and move forward from their past actions. Creating a self-reflective journey that has genuine human emotion showcasing the good, the bad, and the ugly of trauma and how it affects a person's psyche.

And neither of them are cut board cutouts who only exist for fulfilling a fantasy and can do no wrong, can make zero mistakes, and everything they do is completely justified.

Acotar x Hunger games HC fic idea

(plsssss can someone make this happen😭😩 I wish I could but I don’t have the time)

Desperately need someone to write an ACOTAR x Hunger Games style fic for book 1 where Nesta volunteers as tribute to do Feyre’s trials from Amarantha determined not to let her sister down this time.

Instead of just Feyre being the one to fall in love with Tamlin it’s Nesta too…👀 how?…because Tamlin actually manages to visit Nesta in her cell in between trials & things spark between them from there. Feyre & Elain are kept somewhere else (of course Rhysand knows where but Tamlin does not)

All 3 Archeron sisters UTM, Rhys uses Feyre against Tamlin as he did in book 1 with the lap dances, forcing her to drink etc because he thinks Tamlin loves Feyre but…the whole time Tamlin realised he never loved Feyre he just loved that he wasn’t alone anymore but really he’s in love with Nesta & she him & towards the end Rhysand realises this & snitches to Amarantha!!!😭😭😭

Amarantha is furious (naturally🙄) so she chooses to make Tamlin lash Nesta until she passes out😭😭😭 Nesta tells him it’s ok, to do it as she sees Tamlin hesitate & go to refuse but at this point Nesta & Tamlin realise Amarantha has Elain by the throat, Nesta looks at Tamlin with love & and small smile, nods & Tamlin’s hand trembles as he reaches for the whip that’s laced with a toxin, Rhysand realises he fucked up when he sees a single tear slide down Tamlin’s cheek, Feyre looks mortified for many reasons but one of them is because she realises Tamlin & Nesta have somehow fell for each other.

Tamlin manages 10 lashes as Nesta pants & is barely hanging on, she tells Tamlin she loves him & to keep going…only every fae realises what Nesta has said including Tamlin…the room is silent for a minute & then BOOM! Masks fall off, Amarantha screeches & kills Elain, she then goes straight for Feyre kills her, like in canon Rhysand goes “Feyre!” Blah blah, Tamlin roars loud & secured Nesta with Lucien & Thesan, he turns his attention to Amarantha who is fucking terrified.

Amarantha disappears just before Tamlin can get her.

Tamlin grabs Feyre‘s & Elain’s body

& honestly that’s where I got to, the rest can be made up😩😭😂

SJM here wanting me to drop Tamlin who says he would fight for people's freedom and do what he can stop injustice even if it kills him and instead swoon over the centrist overgrown bat twink that spews 'both sides were wrong' bullshit.

All y'all E*riels like to talk about "wow it'll be boring if it's another mates thing we've never had a rejected mate story" well we've also never had a couple know up front they're mates from the start. Also, if Sarah was going to do the rejected mates trope, she wouldn't have changed Lucien's mate from Nesta to Elain. Plus, Lucien is her Jamie Fraser character so she loves him. Also, she missed a HUUUUGE opportunity early on in the series to do a rejected mates trope. Personally, if I was SJM I would've kept Feyre and Rhysand as mates but kept Tamlin as the nice guy and not retconned tf out of him. Feyre doesn't want a mating bond with the biggest asshole in Prythian and she loves Tamlin so she rejects the bond, which drives Rhysand mad and starts his full-blown villain arc but also gives a slightly sympathetic view for the reader. That would've been a pretty great villain story but nooooooo let's retcon tf out of this guy and make him a sappy hero so you can't like him at all because he's a horrible hero and he's a horrible villain too! Actually somebody pls write a fanfic of this because it could've been so good.

People in the ACOTAR fandom being so confused (and almost angry) when you don't like the same characters as them will never cease to amuse me.

People read and enjoy things in different ways. People latch onto different characters for different reasons. Not everyone needs to have the same opinion as you do - and someone having a different one doesn't mean they're wrong. It is very easy to not like a protagonist or where an author takes the plot and still enjoy a book series overall. Like, thanks for your concern, but I wouldn't spend all this time on art and such if I didn't have fun lol
