#rennouncing of miraculous

After seeing your last post, I wanted to submit my personal take on Karmic Backlash.
I personally enjoyed the story. Admittedly though, I see it a little differently. In canon (and KOL) there is an imbalance between Creation, and Destruction that was created when 'Old Man Phooey' started favoring Maribug over Adrichat rather than treating them equally. These cosmic forces are meant to be in balance.
In KOL creation (Maribug) improved her situation at the detriment of destruction (Adrichat) to the point where he was truly left with nothing. This would've been when the imbalance was at its worst, and she was able to take advantage of it under the guise of 'karma'.
Technically, the two were still connected via the Miraculous (And the forces connected to them) because Adrien while losing the ring, never renounced Plagg.
In KBL the cosmic scales balance themselves out. The truth of Maribugs' (in)actions comes out, and Adrichat is able to reclaim what was (wrongfully) lost and Maribug ends up in the same situation he was in. Once the balance was rectified enough, he got the chance to rennounce the ring and break the connecton beteween him and Maribug. What happened after that, was just the consequences of her own choices.
But then again, this is my personal opinion on an excellent story.
Interesting take. Two thumbs up.
