some of houyi's major plot points include bursts of memories from <13 that he isn't sure belong to him as he remains uncertain if he's own original, or whether they're a flaw in his coding, a merge with what he once was as opposed to what he is now. another is that the ministry want paul verlaine brought to them just rly as an excuse for them to interact in yokohama. really what i want to do with him is explore the puppet and puppeteer dynamic, and part of that is he is both the puppet and the puppeteer and has always had the defiant mind to disconnect himself from the ministry and forge his own path - and to do that he will manipulate junfeng into finding a solution for him to live without needing constant modification

#removed from bsd canon houyi is just the host of the god of wind from various experimentations. same rules apply really that he isnt sure #if he's his own original being or if he's one of a few clones (the rest failed or died during implementation of feilian)#so it rly is cool to be able to remove him from 'canon' which is just where i placed him to garner more interaction BUUUUT i would also lik #to explore him outside of it. as i say. he's just a boy with a god in his body outside of bsd but it follows the same rules for activation #and thus the sealing im not afraid to rip it from bsd in that regard bcs i dont want to sit and calculate more ways in which for it to work
