there are many valid reasons to like genklint/genklimt (the tragedy, the inherent homoeroticism of a duel to the death, etc, etc) but by FAR the funniest is the psychic damage kazuma and barok go through as a result. unsure if it's funnier pre- or post- 2-5 but my GOD. the sheer soap opera energy of the asougi and van zieks families

pre 2-5 it's kazuma pacing in the prosecutor's office staring at klint's portrait like it's personally offended him (it has.) and it's barok acting similarly to canon with an extra layer of How Could I Have Been So Deceived. and post 2-5 it's kazuma and barok awkwardly coexisting in the office still not over their decade-long enemies arc DESPERATELY trying to ignore the (other) elephant in the room. at some point sholmes come in to check to make sure they haven't killed each other and says something about how genshin and klint were "very close (wink)" dealing 4d8 psychic damage
