#relationship: momo and the vongola tenth gen

Of course I could never resist sending in some questions for the lovely Momina. So for the Soft OC Asks may I request 🌻, 🌿, and 🌸!

Hello Butter!! Thank you for appearing in my inbox. I hope you're well right now and if not, may things improve soon. 🌷🌷🌷 I rambled soooo much oh my gosh? Under the cut!!

🌻 What little things do they notice about people or the world around them that make them happy? What tiny little treasures do they find in the normal every day that makes the world seem a little brighter for them?

Momina is someone who makes an active effort to take in the world around them and the people in it. This is something that took time, however.

Due to experiencing trauma at a young age Momina was someone who had depression since childhood and would dissociate heavily through it. She felt like a ghost moving through the world and this is what began her journey into grounding herself with the details of things and others.

"The world is beautiful, Momina! Look at how the trees sway with the breeze and the sunlight shines through the spaces! Look at how the ladybug crawls across the leaf...feel the warmth on your skin! Isn't it wonderful?"

And Momina would think: it is wonderful. I'm so glad I'm alive to experience this.

In a similar vein, she pays attention to people.

Momina, when young, would not be able to describe herself. She'd read the dictionary over and over whenever someone did use words to describe her to try and see herself in them.

Sweet? Was she sweet? Bubbly? She was bubbly...? It felt like she was dawning armour with every word she attached to herself, crafting an "identity."

And with that she found herself observing others to the point of intensity sometimes. Their habits, their reactions, their actions, their behaviors...she'd take it in and she'd focus most on the positives. And then? She'd tell them. Some examples below:

To Kyoko: "Koko-chan, you're so strong. I know you doubt yourself often, I understand...I doubt myself a lot too!! But have more confidence. I think you're strong and have strong values...just like RyoRyo! You two are more similar than you think, have faith and I'm sure you'll feel it too. Until then, I'll have faith for you, Koko-chan!!"

To Tsuna: "TsuTsun, you have a big heart...sometimes it makes me afraid for you but it's not a bad thing. It's a great one! I want you to know that. You're a good guy with a good heart! I'm happy we're friends."

To Hayato: "...you know, I think you're so sweet. You're always trying for us all. You have bags of candy for Lambo or you remind me to take my medicine...when we go out on trips you make sure to pack lots of snacks for you and Tsutsun! Sometimes I can get upset...angry even but I know you mean well so thank you! I'm really happy to know you!"

Momina makes an effort to tell people her honest positive thoughts about them because she doesn't want them to feel like a ghost. She wants them to feel present and have their own armor of affirmations. This can come across very awkward sometimes but it doesn't stop her.

🌿 What way does your OC show that they care without using words? What way do others show your OC that they’re cared about without using speech?

Momina is an acts of service girlie and very touchy/physically affectionate to boot so that's often how she's showing people she cares without words.

Sick? She'll tuck you in, check your temperature, give you medicine and feed you.

Sad? She'll stay by your side or leave if you want to be alone [but even then they'll let you know they're nearby and will come immediately if you need them to.]

When Momina is with someone she cares about she will, unintentionally and not all that aware, touch them a lot. Brushing a hand against their cheek, their hair, holding their hand and swinging it, wrapping an arm around them. She likes to keep in physical contact, giving a hug and a kiss on the cheek when she sees them or has to go. <- this has flustered many of them until they slowly got used to it and some returning the gesture.

But despite that Momina tries her best to keep in mind when people don't like touch and so she's careful with them and/or really appreciates it when they all them to hold them [Miruku is a perfect example! Momina is so honoured when they can give Mimi affection. It means so much!]

For Momina...they don't need to give her as much affection as she does them [although she'd love it and soak it in!!] But knowing that they'll help her when she's unwell? Means the world. Taking care of her hair for them, making them food...it brings tears to Momina's eyes, they're so grateful and appreciative.

🌸 What are some of their favourite things and why? List as many as you can think of!

The world: it is so beaufiful and amazing! As I said in the first question, it grounds them.

People: for a similar reason as above! Despite how horrible and vile people can be Momina also tries to keep in mind how amazing and wonderful they are. It warms their heart and gives them fresh hope.

The hobbies and interests of their loved ones: Momina loves them so much that even interests and hobbies that never interested them before is breathed with new life because their loved one adores it. She can listen to them talk about anything for hours and then finds a love for it herself, then thinks:

"I should try baseball", "I wanna watch horror movies too..."

Reading: the world of reading had made many terrible days much easier. A form of escapism that will always be near and dear to her heart.

Baking/cooking: they love to create and so this naturally extends to baking and cooking. One of the best things is making a meal or a dessert for someone and seeing how they enjoy it.

I'll stop now just because it's long!

Mementos: always on the verge of nostalgia and sentimentality, Momina will associate her loved ones with all sorts of things:

Miruku is the sun and so Momina will wear items with the sun on it to carry Mimi with her.

Always wearing the red star stud is so important because Momina is carrying her vow to Hayato in it. How important he is!!
