sometimes, reading D&D lore, i am reminded that one of bioware's first big games was D&D IP, and many of those writers went directly on to work on dragon age
#mine#dragon age#honestly having that experience with A Lot of stuff this time around#reading about the planar system. i understand taz balance now#reading about the dawn war and the living gate. so that's where crit role came from#the latter two is more directly related bc like. they are playing the game dungeons and dragons so i would assume there's some lore remnant#it's just funny. idk how intentional some of this stuff is as much as it's like.#they had to entrench themselves so deeply in the lore for baldurs gate 1 and 2#that info's just. rattling around in your brain and will have an influence whether or not you realize it yknow#like that time i accidentally made an inquisitor who was LITERALLY just my fave character from an old fandom
