#reading a zalfie book

okay but can we PLEASE talk about the fact that ZOE AND ALFIE ARE HAVING A CHILD??? like idk about y’all but i grew up watching them in middle school. before j & d, zalfie was THE youtube couple i was obsessed with. (embarrassing but i remember reading adopted by zalfie💀) i used to watch alfies vlogs every day (back when he was pointless blog) and had both of their books. i don’t know if y’all were here but when j & d + tyler oakley hung out with them in the UK a few years back i was living my best life and freaking tf out. anyways i just wanted to talk about it bc i’m shook and also they’re gonna be great parents🥺i’m so happy for them

I agree with that anon. Just because you read this book it doesn’t mean that you actually understand it. And the way they spoke about it.. to me it felt really ignorant. Especially coming from Jewish family and knowing that people in my family died during those times. I spent most of my life in Poland. I moved to uk in high school. And it’s sad how poorly educated people from uk are when it comes to history. Really ignorant and sad. So I don’t really blame Zalfie for their behaviour.

Ok but if you read that book I’m sure you understand what you’re seeing in that museum. It’s pretty literal. Alfie didn’t read it tho

Do you read any fanfiction, like in general, zalfie or not. I've tried, I just find I don't enjoy them, I always keep thinking "this person wouldn't say this irl and....... etc" Saying that I do give props to the authors, it's hard to stick with a book and find time to write.

1.) I am a proud Hufflepuff, no need for explanation.

2.) I love the show RWBY, I’m not spoiling anything, but, OSCAR IS PURE SMOL BEAN!

3.) I love Zalfie, ThatcherJoe, Caspar Lee, SprinkleOfGlitter, but mostly, I’m Dan and Phil trash. . . again, do I need to explain?

4.) I have a strange obsession for fire, when ever I see one, I watch contently, I don’t know why, but its just me since a young girl.

5.) I’m a bookworm, tell me what book you’d like to recommend to me, I’m interested,  we can be the strange girl in the village, and yes, I had to. . . I’ll go home.

“Zalfie” are two of the most airheaded, entitled fucking brats in the world and they have the NERVE to bully (beginning) journalists (and anyone for that matter) when they crack some jokes about a (very stupid) tweet Zoe sent out? what she said was really dumb and some people criticized her, to which they have all the right. what does Alfie do? Alfie “boyfriend goals!!!” Deyes calls them “nobodies who only get 200 views per article they write”. he laughs because “they’re probably jealous of Zoe’s 3 #1 bestselling novels”. give me a fucking break.

besides the obvious fact that Zoe’s books were ghostwritten and had practically no input from her while she did rake in all the money, the fact that he makes fun of struggling writers or simply people with fewer followers than them is fucking pathetic. is the value they give people really based on their online relevance? Zoe and Alfie became famous throwing whipped cream in each other’s faces and playing silly games on camera. now THAT’s what we call talent, huh! after that, the opportunities of writing books and all that crap just came their way. they have never worked harder than someone who works a 9-5 job. their fame is mostly based on luck, which is great for them and i’m not saying they should be miserable and poor instead, but they have no right to belittle others! ever! no one does, let alone these shockingly unintelligent and arrogant creatures. it’s terrifying to see how many of his young followers were amused by his comment and how they praised him. it’s a horrible example to set.

everyone starts somewhere. at some point, a few years ago, Alfie was only getting a few youtube views. Zoe would maybe have 50 people read her blog post on a lucky day. they would be ecstatic to see the number grow, just like anyone who puts effort into their work. you want to see it pay off. these journalists that criticized Zoe for her ridiculous words were in that situation and Alfie decided it was alright to emphasize that they had more followers as an argument. just because those people have less followers, they shouldn’t be allowed to criticize the “king and queen” of youtube? if anyone should be critized, it’s those fake, lying, money hungry idiots.

“Admit you’re cheating on me.”

Zoe blinks in astonishment, unable to comprehend the words that just fell from her boyfriends mouth. “Excuse me?”

“You heard me.”

“Are you joking me right now?”

Alfie crosses his arms across his heaving chest. His eyes are damp, his cheeks red, and his stance firm. He looks Zoe in the eye and doesn’t blink as he waits for the bullet to strike him dead.

They’ve been fighting for over an hour now. Screaming and yelling at each other so loudly that Zoe wouldn’t be surprised if the neighbours called the police to report a disturbance next door. She doesn’t know what had gotten into Alfie until now. He came home from his office and was in an off mood, and Zoe had been working on her new book all day too so her mood wasn’t the brightest either, and somewhere along the way they butt heads. She didn’t expect Alfie to change the subject from a common domestic to something about their relationship. They were fine up until today. He hasn’t been acting up around her and creating distance between them. Why is this all of a sudden? He accused her of so many things in the past hour, as did she, no doubt - but this. Cheating? That’s beyond the line.

“If the shoe fits.” Alfie growls through his clenched jaw.

Zoe couldn’t even look at him. She turned away and paced a moment, incapable of believing that Alfie truly believes - after 4 years of a relationship - that she’s cheating on him. 

“You’re mad, Alfie. You’re actually insane.”

“I don’t hear you denying it.”

“I’m not cheating on you!” She screamed, voice cracking due to the previous yelling. She wiped hurriedly under her eyes when she sees that Alfie doesn’t believe her. He shook his head and ran his hands through his hair. 

“How could you lie to me?” His voice wavered. “I know you are!”

“With what proof!?” She defended, pushing her arms out to gesture around their kitchen. “There’s nothing you have on me because i’m not cheating on you! What gives you the idea that-”

“Mark.”

She stopped. “What?”

“Mark Ferris. I knew it was him.” Alfie walked over to the counter and leaned on it, rubbing a hand down his hot face. “I see the way you guys talk to each other, how you’re always more playful around him compared to me. So … touchy. Everything’s just better with him. Even your youtube videos.” He paused. “I can see it.”

Zoe shook her head. “What you see is a figment of your imagination! You’re making up something that isn’t there.”

“You’re a liar!” He screamed suddenly, his tone so intense it made Zoe genuinely scared. She’s never heard him yell like that before, and the fact that it’s at her makes it even worse.

“I’m not a liar!” She yelled at the top of her lungs.

“I’ve dedicated four years to you! I’ve had plenty of other women come after me on the street and I never even gave them a second glance because I knew I was always coming home to you. How could you do this to me!?”

“I haven’t done anything, Alf!” Tears are spilling from her eyes again but she doesn’t wipe them.

“Whatever, I’m done with this.” He pushed off from the ledge he’d been leaning on and Zoe thinks - for a slight second - that he’s going to hurt her, but instead he pushes past her to go to the front door. Her heart drops she rushes after him, begging him to stop when he slid on his shoes and grabbed his car keys from the bowl. 

“Alfie, don’t do this.” She pleas. “Let’s talk about this. You’re just having a bad day. I’m not cheating on you!” She grabbed his arm while his other one opens the front door.

Alfie shakes her grip off of him. “We’re over.” He says, and leaves the house with the slam of the front door.
